(S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - Leafs4ever - 05-20-2019 So apparently @ckroyal92 and @`AndrewWarren13` have gone off the grid and no one can find them. San Jose needs someone to step up and run the team until they resurface. The natural choice would obviously be @`To12143`, but he's bouncing in the off-season so conflict of interest. Then there's @Muford, but he's too busy laughing his ass off at the situation. In steps your boy, Xavier Flash. As one of the veterans on the team, I'm stepping up to run the team in the absence of the GMs. The first thing I want to accomplish is fixing the passing game. I'm one of the best wide receivers in the league, but am not getting my chance to shine. Oles is taking my glory and Justice, for some reason, is stealing stats from both of us now. There's no market for Oles since he's leaving anyway, so I immediately sell Justice to the highest bidder. Once I've procured that trade, I change our strats. I abandon the run game and tell Christ to warm up his arm because he's got the green light. I also move myself to number 1 receiver and Oles down to number 2. I'm going to show the world that I'm the best receiver in the NSFL. All I need is to have the chance to show them. Hopefully CK and Warren don't show up for a while, my stats could really use the boost. (233 words) (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - Fordhammer - 05-20-2019 If I could take control of the Philadelphia Liberty for one day, I would make some huge changes. The first thing I would do would be to trade away all other receiving options, leaving myself as the only pass-catcher for our QB, Falconi. While this might seem short-sighted, I am confident our team would be better off. Vander Jones would remain, but would be forced to always be in pass protection on passing plays. Our playbook would be tweaked to have Nacho running mostly go routes to maximize his yards per catch. We would also immediately relocate the team to New Mexico. This would allow me to integrate my new Los Pollos Hermanos franchises into the new stadium. The new stadium would be built right next to the ABQ airport, and would probably be called Los Pollos Hermanos Field. While some may question these decisions as slightly rash, Nacho Varga has made a name for himself in his other enterprises by his quick decision-making and ability to maximize the returns for his businesses. He feels strongly that these would contribute to the success of the Philadelphia Liberty team as a whole. Hopefully the team members that are traded do not take this the wrong way. Trust him, it's strictly business. *The views contained in this PT are solely the views of the author, and do not represent the views of the Philadelphia Liberty management team. (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - caltroit_red_flames - 05-20-2019 SHL PT (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - ValorX77 - 05-20-2019 Alrighty, looks like Daybe is not here today. What should I do? I have a lot of options, so let’s get to work here. 1. Lower Contracts for Inactives: Each day, inactive players earn more than future star talent in the DSFL. I will only give inactives, 200,000 dollars a season, to make sure the right players get the biggest contracts. 2. New Stadium or Relocation: For the 4th straight Season, Yellowknife was ranked in the bottom of the attendance category. We are currently proposing to build a new stadium in downtown Vancouver, it will hold 70 thousand people and will be completed by Season 19. 3. Switch To a Defensive Heavy Playbook: Let me just say this,Defense Wins Championships. Just look at the Arizona Outlaws during the dynasty, or even as recent as San Jose last season. The Next Dynasty team will rely on a heavy defense filled with star talent, fresh from trades and DSFL draftees. With the current contracts, I’d adjust them to give more money to defense players, and of course, running backs. (Everyone knows I’m something of one myself!) This is the stuff Ryan Leaf Jr would do if he was the gm of the Yellowknife Wraiths, That’s is all for now! Code: 204 Words (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - CalvinP - 05-20-2019 So you asked your ol pal Logan to run the show until the GM gets back in? Yeah? And you said I get to have absolute power to do whatever I want? Bet. Let's take a walk to the field. All this grass, can it be colored? What do you mean you're not sure? Is there something specifically preventing us from painting the fields in the NSFL rulebook? No? Ok. Paint this shit black. Yeah, all of it. Hashmarks white but literally everything else black. I wanna feel like I'm playing in outer space. And I'm the astronaut player of the year. Let's move along. Finances. Let's talk to the finance department. Guys, call literally every player on the team and tell them they'll be taking the vet minium for the rest of their time here. But what?!?! Just do it. What am I doing with all that money? We're restructuring our shining star Ryan Leaf Jr's contract by giving him literally all of our cap space. Why? Cause he has a good heart and if he wants to share with his friends I'm sure he would. Duh.......... Stadium upgrades! Let's take another walk. Look at this garbage... Only a few years old and this stadium is pathetic... But don't worry your new boss Mr. Uchiha will fix this. First off, marble floors.... You know what.... Marble chairs too, no I don't want that cheap stuff. Uncomfortable? More like sexy as hell. Remove all these plastic chairs and find slabs of marble and carve these chairs out. Let's get fancy around this bitch. You know what? No shoes allowed, everyone has to slide in their socks around the stadium. See, it's all about customer fun. As far as menu, don't worry I got that covered. We only need three items to cover everyone's needs. Ready? Bowls of spaghetti, PB&J sandwiches and warm kale smoothies. Boom. Everyone happy. I think things are definitely working out great for Wraiths now that GM Uchiha is here. --------------------- 333 words (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - Rising Equinox - 05-20-2019 In all honesty, I wouldn't really make any huge changes to the team, because, at the end of the day, I still play for the team. I don't want to make any changes that would hurt the team in the future, because those changes would also negatively affect me and my teammates as well. Even though I wouldn't make any big changes, I would still try to use my powers to make the team as good as it can be. One of the things I would do is check the trade block. I most likely wouldn't actually commit to any trades, but it would be helpful to learn the mindset and game-plan of the other teams and GM's around the league based off who they're trying to trade or who they're trying to trade for. There's a lot of behind-the-scenes information that the players themselves don't usually know, so there might be players on some teams that everyone assumes is completely safe, but their GM is actually looking to trade them. I would also look into testing different strats to ensure that we are in the best position possible to win games. Overall, I wouldn't do anything that would risk ruining the current plan that our GM has for the team, but I would do a few things that would improve our team and hopefully put us in the best position to win in the future. (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - Eco - 05-20-2019 ![]() (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - kentuckycolonel - 05-20-2019 PBE PT (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - br0_0ker - 05-20-2019 Honestly? Not a god damned thing would change. I'm lucky enough to be part of two smooth-sailing, successful franchises with some of the best upper management in the game. San Jose is coming off a championship season for crying out loud! Who's going to be the jabroni that steers this ship awry? Not me. And same goes in Norfolk, where they just got finished getting the ship righted in the first place. Sure, they may not have the banners and the history of success as San Jose, but Norfolk is comprised of winners, and every week I see guys taking responsibility for themselves and just getting to work. That would continue seamlessly if I were in control, even for just 24 hours. Maybe I'd take liberties with the budget and get everyone something different for lunch or something. But to be honest, we have an amazing spread each day from our caterers, and most of the guys are on some sort of restrictive diet due to their nutritionists, so there's not really much I would be able to do in that arena anyways. Ultimately, things would be pretty much the same around here, and coming from a tumultuous upbringing, perhaps that isn't the worst thing that could happen. (S15) PT 2 - Absolute Power - PSanchez55 - 05-20-2019 I mean, let's be real here. As far as I know, the Yeti haven't replaced Dropbear as Co-GM. I'm pretty sure if I wanted, I could be a Yeti GM tomorrow. For now, I don't. But let's say I was. What would I do? That's tough. The Yeti are in a deep rebuild. Our QB is retiring, and our defense is a few seasons/ free agents from being competitive. We have a solid core. (Most teams should with a stacked S15 draft class.) Bishop, Taffy, and Casino should be fixtures in the offense for some time. On the defensive end, Lejune, Gabagool, and Berry form a good LB core, while Sinclair and Montgomery will anchor the DBs. But a 600 TPE player on one side and maybe a little bit above 600 TPE player on the other side (as the top 2 guy is not going to win many games. Especially since Lejune is a LB at 600. Mo Berry is already getting better results because of a higher speed cap. So now that I spent 180 words describing the situation, I would do nothing differently. I would draft good dudes and hope for the best. But the draft isnt today so irrelevant. |
