Oh man this long offseason is tough, but luckily I have the Pro Baseball Experience to keep me company. Not really, I started a new role at my old company and time is no longer a luxury I have but it is ok, because here I am writing a quick 100-word article, about this. Hey next time, could we have one-way affiliation? Like you cannot use this task on other PTs but you can use other PTs for it? That would be great, because man oh man, you know this Bigred, time is not a luxury I have right now but here we are.

With the S16 NSFL draft only a few days away, S17 cornerback prospect Jordan Andrews has been anxiously coping with the added excited around him and his family in recent months. Jordan seems to dealing with the countdown pretty well as he continues to work out and remain in shape at the University of UCLA. He's also attended a few minor league PBE games to support his cousin Desmond who plays for the Anchorage Wheelers. Traveling and other activities that doesn't relate to himself and his transition from college to the pros is key to helping with passing time during a long off-season. With the combination of personal workouts, meetings with NSFL and DSFL teams, Madden, 2K and other video game tournaments are just a few small things in Andrews' day that contributes to a smooth start to his professional career.

This offseason, Ashley Owens is spending a few weeks at home in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, with his family, before heading back to the University of Wisconsin to take classes in the summer semester. He barely passed a few courses his spring semester of junior year (most recent) since he went to Portland to play as a member of the Portland Pythons, after being selected by them off waivers. Since Ashley agreed to terms from his parents that he needs to finish his degree from Wisconsin even if he declared for the DSFL after junior year, he's doing his best to get ahead, so that he can play his DSFL season, then just take spring semester of senior year back at Wisconsin to graduate.

Achilles Hondo has had a pretty busy off-season with the news he'd be joining the Chicago Butchers, one of the NSFLs newest expansion teams. After only joining the Baltimore Hawks just a few seasons ago, he would be on the move again. Only this time it wasn't just a short drive down 95, this was a pretty big shift. After getting settled in though, it was time to get to work and get in shape for the upcoming season. Hondo has never been able to live up to the hype that once surrounded him as a rookie so he's playing with a chip on his shoulder and a renewed motivation to bring him a championship to a brand new team.

After a disastrous showing in the Ultimus Championship against the Hawks, the off-season couldn't have come at a better time. I don't want to remember anything about that game. We lost a lot of good people in this off-season so that was a tough way to start it off. My partner in crime, Kazimir Oles, has moved on to the expansion team in Chicago. Our receiving corp is definitely going to feel his loss. We were informed that because of expansion the off-season will be a little longer than usual. That's been good for me so far. Getting older sucks, so having that extra time to rest the body has been good. I've just been recouping in my hometown, hanging with friends and just doing anything that's not football. So far, a mental break and a physical break has been great. I feel like at the end of the off-season, I'll be fully recharged and ready to go.

Offseason:

Tyron Brackenridge has been training much like all the other athletes involved within these leagues but in addition to pass some of his free time he has recently taken up knitting to work on his hands and nimble fingers. He has progressed up the knitting ranks into trying to become an elite knitter and has even offered to knit workout gear and jersies for some of his old teammates. As the time towards the draft begins to dwindle the training intensity has increased and the amount of drops have decreased, which is a good sign after such a hard offseason of knitting. One must wonder what unorthodox method he can use to train next season.

I've been spending most of this offseason training with my mentor, Micycle McCormick. He's been really walking me through the ins and outs of being a quarterback at the next level, and it's been really helpful seeing as I've been raised as a WR. He was the one who saw the talent and suggested I switch, and seeing as he has experience with switching to QB at the highest level, he's gotta be the best mentor. Plus we have the same alma mater! I'm really looking forward to the draft, and I really think either Colorado or New Orleans will take me. Lots of people are mocking me in the first round too, which is exciting!

Fyodorovich is now really old, so old he already spends time just resting and fighting father time planning when to call it quits. He wants to go all the way, so for sure going to play S16 as 800+ TPE WR 1, S17 as ~600 TPE WR 2 and hopefully S18 with ~400 TPE will be enough to get by as WR 3, so plan is to retire at S18 trade deadline and have create then, though season earlier is possibility too, if he can't get guarantees of decent playing time in S18, no need to boost his longevity score for S7 redraft. He has nifty bank so bought the best voyage to freshest resorts and spa. Thankfully he was protected in the expansion draft so didn't have to attend it and could rest even more.

With the draft close, Takeda Okura has been refining his spreadsheets, studying his game even closer than before. In addition, he's added a new workout, already adding to his impressive speed. Although he works tirelessly day in and day out for the majority of the day, he allows himself 1 hour of relaxation each day. From Japan, he frequently finds himself watching a shounen anime he can't get enough of. He uses their struggles to help fight his own battles, be it in the training room or on the field. It is with this solid spirit that he is able to complete tasks that seem excruciatingly boring to many, and become a much better player as a result.

Peter doesn't really have down time in the off-season as a duel athlete.

Between all the predraft assessment interviews, off-season training and media commitments, Peter also needs to fit in 50+ games of hockey. Where he is the star goalie of the anchorage armada, and prospect for the Manhattan Rage.

Despite all this work and training, and travel that Peter is doing, he is also one semester away from graduating with an economics degree from Washington state (the same school he started playing football at). The last thing is

Busy is just what Peter does, but he is looking forward to being able to relax this week and just watch how the NsFL draft goes with some of his old anchorage mates, watching remotely as he can't quite get back to the studio to attend live. (the video he recorded is a surprising funny take on his approach to football - it's just 5 minutes of his goalie save highlight reel).
