There are two NFL players I find to be very good comparisons to Brock Landers. I’ll break both of them down below:

Jordy Nelson
Jordy Nelson is a player I think reminds me of Brock Landers in both playstyle and result. While he’s not the king of 60 yard TDs like a Tyreek Hill type, Nelson always put up big TD numbers by working 15-30 yards downfield. This is something I saw in Landers’ game last season as he developed into a very real TD threat scoring 7 as a rookie, which amounts to one every other game. If Landers continues to work that medium depth passing game the way he did last season, I only expect that scoring threat to grow as his game develops.

Juju Smith-Schuster
The other receiver I liken Landers to is Juju Smith-Schuster. Like Juju, Landers isn’t scared to lay a huge block on someone and boasts very solid strength for a receiver his age. In addition to the similarity in blocking ability, both Landers and Juju aren’t afraid to let their personalities shine through out there on the field. Like Juju, Landers has been known to do some pretty hilarious touchdown celebrations and is very active on Twitter. He considers himself somewhat of a “memelord”.

Visually, Ahri Espeeyeeseetee is based off of Hines Ward, storied wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His game is more of a mix between him and another Steelers great, Heath Miller though. AE plays as a red zone threat, and at 6'6", he's considerably taller than Hines. But he runs the possession routes, occasionally takes one long (without breakaway speed), but has the height and power to be both a reliable downs target and, well, a red zone threat. Miller was great in both those regards. AE also tends to let his play on the field do his talking, much like Heath, but can dish it out with a big ol' grin on his face just like Mr. Ward used to. I hope to get AE's run blocking up at some point, as both Hines and Heath were fantastic at creating lanes for their running backs, but the priority is going to be on hands and intelligence at this point, two things both these Steelers legends were known to have in bounds. Maybe post NSFL career AE will find his way into an analyst position like Hines, or maybe like Miller he will fade into the sunset, summoned only by fans chanting "HEAAAAAATH" as another white Steelers tight end catches a pass.

As a big Dallas Cowboys fan, I always admired their wide receivers. Michael Irvin is the top of the totem pole, but my prime years of watching the Cowboys involved Dez Bryant. I picked up football at a young age and really loved just catching the ball. I loved just running out in the open field and trying to get under the ball and haul it in. Watching those Cowboy receivers really helped me keep driving to where I am today.

As I trained and went through high school and college, Dez Bryant was my boy. He was a big body, strong like a bull, and had crisp routes. He was a big target in the red zone as well, which made him his quarterback's favourite target. That's what I wanted to be. I worked to emulate his game and trained to get the same body as him. I wanted to be that strong wide receiver who over powers cornerbacks.

Looking at my career now, I think I've really become a Dez Bryant type. My strength and big frame helped me dominate the DSFL which helped me become the first overall pick with the San Jose SaberCats. As for off the field, I try not to be a diva like Bryant seemed to be, but sometimes a wide receiver can't help it. Just ask my GMs.

Ducky Donut's play style I imagine is having somewhat of an Adrian Peterson inspiration. Both running backs, not necessarily
similar in play style specifically, but more the fact that he's a hard worker, high work ethic, clutch player, etc. All what makes Adrian Peterson a great player in NFL history. First one in the gym, last one out.One example of this is his nickname, AD. Many people think his nickname is AP, for his initials, however that's not right. His nickname is AD, given to him by his dad. It stands for "all day" as in he could play or keep going all day, because he's such a hard worker and player. But on the field, Adrian Peterson is similar in terms of a high energy player, who will get big gains and be a big impact and help to his team, however Donut is more of a speedy and elusive back, while AD is more of an all-purpose back, who can truck you, and juke you. He's proficient in every attribute, and not just a master at one specific way of playing. Later in Ducky's career, he will develop these abilities, but for now, he is mostly a speed back.

Alright, so this is kind of a strange topic to write about since I changed positions after my jump from the DSFL to the NSFL. When I joined up as a tight end, I picked my render and I guess my personality off of Nick Vannett of the Seattle Seahawks. My goal was to just kind of go quietly about my business and just try to be the best player that I could possibly be. For the most part, I think I succeeded in that. It wasn't my goal to stick out as the flashiest personality by any means. Now that I have switched to defense and safety specifically, I have no choice but to model Chase Jensen after the great Kam Chancellor. Again, he's not the biggest talker of all time, but he makes his presence felt on the field; straight up intimidation factor. You don't have to say much if you are the biggest, baddest motherfucker out on the field and that is how I plan to be. I'm still not going to be the guy running my mouth on the field, but you can sure as hell bet that I am going to be all over the field breaking jaws. And after 1 game of the regular season, Jensen is one of the leading tacklers amongst safeties so he's taking his Kam Chancellor inspiration to heart.

My NSFL render is Irv Smith Jr and he currently represents Honda Edmond's likeness. I modeled Honda's game after Irv's as well. Irv Smith Jr isn't the biggest guy and may not be one of the elite tight end blocking prospects in the NFL. Coming out of Alabama in last year's NFL Draft, some scouts did have a first round grade on Irv, but his 2 years at Alabama worked against him. He wasn't a starter as a freshman and put up very pedestrian numbers as a sophomore. It was his junior year, much like I used as reference for Honda, that put him on a lot of teams radar. He's not a burner, but he has sure hands and works at his craft constantly. He made a few big catches in Alabama's national title loss against Clemson last year and showed his catching ability as well as his ability to fight after the catch for those tough YAC stats. When asked to block, he does so not being the biggest guy at 6'2", I embellished his height for Honda, but he does make up for it in strength. His true calling is as a possession tight end, but has a knack for finding holes in coverage and providing a sound outlet for his quarterback. Much like Honda, it is his work ethic and determination that set him apart.

Intensity. Passion. Power. These are the words I think of when I think of Logan Uchiha and his NFL counterpart, the great Brian Dawkins. On the field this man was dangerous EVERYWHERE, in his illustrious Hall of Fame career Dawkins managed to have 37 interceptions and 36 forced fumbles. Logan wants to be the same way, whether you're bold enough to put it in the air next to him or try to run through him, there's only one result. Regret. The love that he brings to the field for not only the game but for his fellow teammates. His passionate speeches are known throughout the NFL and Logan hopes to keep his teammates motivated through the same speeches when times get tough. Logan wants to be in the hall of fame. But the one thing that always alluded Dawkins' throughout his entire career was that World championship. With that, Logan goes out on the field and wants to help bring a championship to Yellowknife and want to have a championship run that even Dawkins would be proud of. Another fun connection, they both managed to play with the biggest personalit.... Errr... Attention whores in their respective leagues. Let's see if I can make it to the big show with him like Dawkins did.

The real life NFL player that AJ Lattimer is modeled after is big Mike Daniels of the Green Bay Packers. As an Iowa fan and a Packer fan, I was so excited that I'd be watching Daniels play on my favorite team every Sunday. I like him because he is a super down to Earth guy, a genuinely nice person, humble, and a leader. This is the type of personality that I wanted Lattimer to have - and I think I've portrayed him fairly accurately so far as I've tried to be humble and passionate as him throughout my time in the league. A big part of Daniels' personality is that he is a big anime fan. Now, since I never watch anime, I can't relate, but at least I'm generally aware of popular shows like Dragonball Z. Because of this, I've requested a sig graphic for Lattimer that is of Daniels in DBZ cosplay to mirror that personality in some way. As for play styles, Daniels is a good interior lineman that can stop the run and get to the quarterback on occasion, which is how Lattimer has played so far. Much like Daniels, Lattimer's stats won't jump out at you. Daniels is a role player, and Lattimer has been similar on the Otters.
