Bubba Thumper spent the first three of his five years of college at Trinity Valley Community College, a junior college in Texas, where scholarships allowed him to pursue both his education and the game he loved at no cost. Thumper was no slouch in the classroom, earning himself a 3.5 GPA at Trinity Valley, but the gridiron was where he truly excelled, as he led the Cardinal defense in tackles for loss in three straight seasons, setting both single-season and career records for the program. This ultimately earned him a single D-I offer, from the University of Tennessee, which he graciously accepted as his big break, his opportunity to earn his way to the NSFL. Thumper unfortunately spent his first year at Tennessee on the shelf, taking a medical redshirt to recover from a torn ACL which threatened to end his career prematurely. However, not only did this redshirt season nearly allow him to finish his degree, it also gave him time to make a complete recover, and in his final year of eligibility, he led the Volunteer defense in tackles for loss, and earned himself a last-minute invite to the DSFL draft. And, if that somehow fails to pan out, a degree in journalism allows him an opportunity to stay connected to the sport he loves.

Although most people like to party during college Saba Donut wasn’t that type of person. Instead of partying like all his teammates(excluding his brother Ducky Donut) he was in the gym lifting weights, on the treadmill, doing whatever he could do to improve his game. Evidently, it paid off. During his freshman season he made his mark on the team immediately as he was their leading receiver. He finished the season with 48 catches for 837 yards and 7 touchdowns. He ended it on a positive not as he and the Ducks beat Michigan in the 2028 Chuck E. Cheese Bowl. In his sophomore season he stepped it up and made the All-American team and he was a semifinalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award. He again was Oregon’s leading receiver with 54 catches, 888 yards, and 6 touchdowns. However, his best season was yet to come. In his junior year(final year) he was one of the best receivers in the country perhaps the best. Not only did he help his team win the Rose Bowl against the Iowa Hawkeyes, he also was a unanimous All-American, was tenth in heisman voting, and won the Fred Biletnikoff Award. Also, he set an Oregon school record for most receiving yards in a season with 1202 yards. Once he announced that he would be entering the DSFL draft it was announced that he also set the school record for receiving yards in a career with 2927 yards and tied the receptions record with 178 receptions. Overall, I will always love looking back to my college days.

Tyron Brackenridge attended the University of Maryland, which was his only scholarship offer for an American school for a total of three seasons before declaring for the draft. Tyron also managed to avoid being redshirted his first season as he continued to learn the new rules compared to the Canadian game that he had grew up playing throughout his life.

His junior season was arguably his best season as he became accustomed to the game and began to lead the defense with all his collegiate career highs coming in his final season with 63 tackles, 3 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, and 2 touchdowns.

Off the field was where Tyron Brackenridge was able to shine through his hard work in the classroom and in other events. The vast differences between Canada and America also provided Tyron the ability for unique experiences such as State Fairs, historic sites, and a proto-typical college experience. Tyron enjoyed these experiences so much that he plans on going back after his playing career and getting his degree in Buisness.

Although his team may not have been able to win a national championship he notes that his time in bowl games and other playoff matches were the best part about his collegiate career as the excitement of the entire schools and states were behind the teams, which added to the fun and pressure to perform.

Ducky Donut went to college at Oregon with his brother, Saba. Obviously both of them going to the same college was great as they were brothers. Ducky liked going to college with his brother so he already knew someone at his college to talk to. On the sports side of things, they were both starters at their college in their respective positions in their freshman year. They'd both been great in high-school so Oregon jumped at the chance to get 2 high-profile stars to bolster their football team this year. Ducky also played baseball his freshman year, but eventually dropped off the team in his next season to focus on football. As his brother went on to be a star in college, Ducky had a mostly average performance in his first 2 years at college, sharing duties with another running back at Oregon, therefore he didn't get amazing stats, seeing as their offensive scheme was mostly pass-heavy anyway. In his junior and senior year, he was most of the full-time running back for Oregon, as his talent emerged and his team switched to more of a balanced play-calling style. As for school, he was a B+ average student, a pretty smart kid for being mostly sports-oriented. Overall, Ducky's college experience was good, and mostly prepared him for life in the pros and beyond.

Lanzer's college career went by pretty fast compared to many other players. He was only a full-time starter for OSU for one season, which was his final season. Although, he made the most of every single down that he was on the field for. His first season playing for the Buckeyes was really uneventful. He didn't actually play a single snap his freshmen season. But, he used every opportunity available to show the trainers and coaches what he was capable of, and this is what led to him eventually earning a starting LB position on the team. He made his first career start in the Sophomore season. He didn't start every game that season, but he played enough to show everyone how dangerous he was, especially in coverage. In his third and final season, he had finally earned the primary starting LB spot on the roster. He got to play a full season, and this allowed him to make his most memorable play of his career, a 90 yard pick six against the Michigan Wolverines, which secured a playoff spot for the Buckeyes. He ended the season with 8 interceptions, an insane accomplishment for any defensive player. After much debate, Lanzer decided to declare for the draft instead of playing through his senior season at OSU.

Laszlo Forty-Two after moving from Hungary to the United States of America was raised for the second half of his young live in West Virginia. He was lucky enough to be accepted and became a starting Wide Receiver during his time at the college.

They were not exactly a great team back then to the point in which one game Laszlo got so fed up with how piss poorly his quarterback was passing he took over. He was actually quite a bit better than most of the team in whatever position they respectively played in. They never really did massively well in terms of overall record whilst Mr. Forty-Two was a part of the team but he definitely stood out.

Laszlo's time in university was rather uneventful. He is not exactly a party animal and most of the team were actually afraid of him after one of the seniors pulled a harmless prank. That was the last time the kicker could walk for the next year. Laszlo has never really been bothered about being popular but he was pretty good with the ladies. A few cheerleaders did attempt to get with him but were ultimately rejected by him because they would have distracted his goal of making his cult proud.

Before being the patient Team player he currently is, Logan used to have a very wild and loose lifestyle in college. Even though he never missed the team practice, he regularly went out to drink and was quite the womanizer as a young college freshman. I think we can attribute it to the fact that that terrible tragedy struck Logan's Hometown prior to becoming a college athlete. Though he was skilled naturally with his intelligence. He often let little petty things get to him and he held it against his heart like taking cheap shots at his teammates in public and not giving 100% at practice. This led to the regular routine of him going out with his classmates every Thursday Friday and Saturday night and using Sunday to recover. And I use the word routine loosely because there was never any plan but they always seem to manage to get themselves in trouble every weekend. Luckily, The campus didn't hear much about it. Though there was an Infamous weekend where he was reprimanded by his coach on the sideline. So he decided to throw an insane party that required the state police to come to the campus and response. It was very childish and he obviously couldn't handle his emotions so he lashed out in inappropriate ways and did petty things regularly. A beast on the field but a child with no direction when he was on campus pretty much sums up his time in college. Fortunately, this isn't the Logan that we have on the field today.

PT2 – College

Man, I loved the three years I lived in Athens. Going to school at UGA was always a dream of mine growing up, and I can tell you that it did not disappoint. First off, the girls that you see walking around campus will make your jaw drop. When you walk around with the power G on your Nike backpack and you have fire dreads like I do everyone knows who you are. The athletic facilities at Georgia are also top-notch. For example, after I was done with practice at the massive state of the art Payne Indoor Practice Facility, I could walk over to Butts-Mehre hall and get a custom meal cooked for me by a group of chefs on staff. My last two years I lived at the Mark apartment complex with a couple of my boys on the team. That place has a rooftop pool and jumbotron tv just chilling overlooking downtown Athens. Oh, Downtown Athens is the best part of that town because there are over 80 bars in a single square mile. I had some of the best nights of my life on Saturday nights after a home win at Sanford Stadium. All the students treat you like a god and you never have to pay for a drink. I can’t wait to get back there this fall so I can stand on the field as an alumni and call the Dawgs in front of 92,000 people.

Mako Mendonca went to college simply expecting to learn and have a good time, with no thought of becoming a professional athlete in the great league in the world. This all changed when he went to Rice University in Houston (from Greenwich University in London) as part of an exchange for a year.

At Rice U Mako happened to live next door to a couple of football hopefully, twin potential offensive linemen called Curb and Ishley Allen. He got on well with the brothers and decided to join them when they attempted to join the Rice U Owls as walk ons in the autumn tryouts. It was here that Mako talent was noticed and he started his apprenticeship on the Journey to become the best pass catching running back the world has ever seen (a journey he is still on now in the NFSL).

It wasn't all plain sailing at Rice U for Mako, his first year was spent learning the game, and he had limited snaps, being used more as a punt and kick returner. He also had to kick his heavy drinking and bad diet to the side as well, but with the help of his coach and encouragement from his family (especially uncle Clive) he was able to spend his college years shaping himself into the fine specimen that you see today.

I had a great time when I went to college at the University of Iowa and am very thankful that they took a chance on me coming out of high school. Coach Kirk Ferentz believed in me and my abilities, and the school was the only one from a Power 5 conference to offer me a scholarship. I worked hard, and although I didn't get a ton of playing time at first I earned my place on the team eventually.

From a personal perspective, it was a culture shock moving from New Jersey to Iowa. Everybody from New Jersey liked to act tough, weren't very courteous, and most people had an attitude. It wasn't all bad but it could be a toxic environment in a lot of places. In Iowa though, everyone is so much nicer. A lot more mellowed out. The whole culture was just different I guess.

Along with all of that, there is a reason Iowa is known as a party school. There's not much else to do! I wasn't a big party animal by any means - I had too much to focus on - but when I was young and dumb I couldn't stop myself from going to a few. Those guys go harder than I thought was possible. And there were hotties everywhere! Not to mention that being a football player opens a lot of doors if you know what I mean. Those were the days. I really enjoyed my time at Iowa.
