Here is a better analogy for you... Say you make a reservation in a restaurant for 5 people... but when you arrive at the restaurant your party is actually 10 people. Not only is the restaurant not prepared for the extra people they are expected to make it work. The same thing happens when the gm gets ready to draft you and you throw a curve ball like this... its frustrating but they try to make it work so everyone is happy. But usually to make you happy they have to make sacrifice... which often hurts their chances of winning.
This is coming from someone who has gone this route before. I have asked no other gm's to draft me so i can play for a specific team. While i was happy with the team i landed on it soured my relationship in the league.

It is only childish if they refuse to play if they dont get their way... Every player has the right to request where they would like to play but ultimately it is up to the gm's during their respective drafts

It is only childish if they refuse to play if they dont get their way... Every player has the right to request where they would like to play but ultimately it is up to the gm's during their respective drafts
