(S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - hannahg32 - 12-23-2019 J. J. “Jay” Jay - Jaymison loves the Christmas holiday and has always enjoyed celebrating Christmas with his family before this year. That being said, it looks as if J. J. “Jay” Jay - Jaymison will once again be spending the Christmas holiday with his family for one more year as there has not been a team that has picked him up yet at the time of this writing. This means that J. J. “Jay” Jay - Jaymison is not able to spend the holiday season with his teammates because of the fact that he does not have any teammates that he would be able to celebrate the holiday season with, be it Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or New Year / New Year’s Eve. J. J. “Jay” Jay - Jaymison Is of course upset by the fact that he will have no teammates to celebrate with for this holiday season, he is excited to spend the time with his family and he can spend the time he is not with a team to look forward to what is to come. If he were to have some teammates that he could celebrate with, Jay imagines himself gathering with the team to exchange dumb but yearly meaningful presents with each other, and then putting together a madden tournament where he can dominate everyone with how good he is. - 227 (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Ephenssta - 12-24-2019 Warren Stephens loves Christmas, probably because it's a reason for his closest friends and family, at least the ones that aren't desperately trying to convince him to get help, to give him bottles of rum as a gift. Drinking rum is Warren's favorite pass-time outside of football. In fact, he is a self proclaimed "Rum Enthusiast" and frequently cites this as the reason he fits in so well at Myrtle Beach. Who doesn't love a nice tropical cocktail, made with rum of course, while sitting on a beach called Myrtle? On Christmas, Warren likes to venture into spiced rums and mix them with ciders. He especially enjoys a nice crisp apple cider while opening more bottles of rum. His close friends have frequently heard him discussing a desire to get into distilling rum following what he hopes will be a long football career. If things work out, he might even look into opening a distillery in Myrtle Beach so he can stay close to his DSFL home. Of course, some have questioned whether or not he would do well brewing his favorite drink, since his massive consumption may create a significant expenditure and severely limit the amount of the tasty liquid that can actually be transferred into bottles and sold. Only time will tell, though, as this Buccaneer will have to survive his football career, and the upcoming holidays, first. (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Rising Equinox - 12-24-2019 The Holiday season is one of the best times of the year. For a lot of people, it means snow, family, fun, and in general just celebrating and having a good time. For me, I'm definitely going to be spending some time celebrating with my family and also with my teammates. Yes, the holidays are a good time to take a step back from football and sports as a whole, but we also can't ignore that aspect of our life completely. Because, when the holiday season comes around, that also means it's playoff time. We have to be prepared for anything and everything, and we can't be partying too hard before the most important games of the season. Personally, I try to find a good balance of my professional football career and enjoying the time I have with all my family and friends. You usually don't get many chances or opportunities when all of your family and friends can be gathered together all at once. You really get that chance to just look at everyone and truly realize what it is you're playing for. You're playing for everyone: you friends, your family, your fans. They are all the reason you're playing football, and you wouldn't be here without them. You can't forget that. (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Leafs4ever - 12-24-2019 SHL Affiliate (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Kyle - 12-24-2019 Kyle Idlewyld always loved Christmas, the season of getting. As a kid he was treated as a prodigy because to be honest that's what he was and/ or is. This is the first time in his life he had the means to give back. He decided to take everyone that's helped him in his life skiing, something the young Texan had never done. So Idlewyld rented 3 whole cabins in the Colorado rockies, bought everyone brand new ski equipment and first class plane tickets. But tragedy struck the day of! Kyle woke up that afternoon and couldn't find his passport anywhere. He was stuck in Mexico. So Idlewyld called up his mom and told her to get everyone back to the airport, they were flying to Mexico. Dead set on going skiing he found the one place in the country where skiing is possible. Ignoring what he was told about the elevation being bad for skiing and the course being for experienced skiers only he chartered a private jet for himself from Tijuana and another private jet for everyone that just got to Colorado. Finally getting to the mountain Idlewyld found out they were booked and had no room at the resort or on the slopes. Enraged after a stressful day Idlewyld pushed his way through security to the top of the slope and grabbed a trashcan lid and jumped down, aiming to hit as many skiers as he possibly could. The rest of the story cant be told due to everyone signing NDAs (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Mavfatha - 12-24-2019 Over the past several months I've been pursuing a true passion project: recreating the NSFL inside of Madden. This league has been treated as an underling to the NFL for too long and I really wanted to change that as a Christmas gift to the rest of my leaguemates and particularly my teammates. Of course, with how quickly we go through seasons and the roster turnover involved with that, it has taken a lot of that time just keeping things up to date - and that's even before all the ratings updates! Now that I think about it, this is probably why there is no desire on EA's part to put in a league like ours. Anyways, now that everything is finished I unveiled the setup to the rest of the Sabercats, who went nuts to see themselves in such a mediocre game like Madden. They also insisted upon a series of tournaments to determine the grand champion among the team - nothing like the holidays to spend all day playing video games and getting way too into the spirit of competition. It was a grueling Christmas week, with separate tournaments for NSFL teams only, NFL teams only, and even a free-for-all round. Christmas cookies were consumed by the dozen on a daily basis, and we had to make daily egg nog runs as well. Overall it was pretty chaotic and not your traditional holiday time, but it was still a great bonding experience for the team. (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Leafer - 12-24-2019 https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php...7138#pid2747138 (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Ry_ - 12-24-2019 The holidays have arrived for the members of the Grey Ducks and we're definitely enjoying it. After adding tons of new trade deadline players, our whole team is assembled and we're ready to enjoy the holidays. Darrel spent his holidays last year down in Myrtle Beach, but to be honest the snow of Minnesota is so much more enjoyable around the holiday times than nice weather. Sure, their winter weather may be nicer, but we have a bunch of snow on the ground and can truly have a white Christmas. One team activity we can do in Minnesota is go skiing. Darrel isn't that good of a skier, but he couldn't resist watching some of the bigger guys on the team zooming their way down the hills of Minnesota. Since Darrel had been training all season to get faster, he used that speed to zoom his way down the hills and even beat the kick return legend himself Juan Marston down the biggest hill there. Maybe it's not the greatest use of time for the team, but our offense finally got on track after our winter journey so it seems like it was worth the time to me. Finally, we celebrate the holidays by beating the Pythons for the third time in four games and prepare for an epic winter showdown with them with a spot in the Ultimini on the line. Code: 232 words (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - Jay_Doctor - 12-24-2019 The Luchadores have come together as a team this season. Anyone who watches us in a game or at practice knows that. But what the public doesn’t often see is the time we spend together off the field. Inspectah Deck is one of my closest friends and we go way back. Whenever he comes over, we always have a good time. He also loves playing with my cat (and no that’s not a euphemism). As a whole, I feel closest with the defensive unit. My boy Kyle is the life of the party. In fact, I’m pretty sure we don’t call it a party anymore unless he is there. Moreno is on the quieter side of things publicly, but when you get to know him, he is also a ton of fun. Even though he is a receiver, we also invite our boy Vuxta. I love throwing him a bottle of beer across the room and watching him snag it with one hand. He’s usually so proud of himself that he opens it right away and has a mess to deal with. This will be our first (and probably last) Christmas together as a group, so I know I will be enjoying every minute of it. I have been a part of some good teams through the years, but this team feels like it has the potential to bring home the Ultimini. For now, though, I’m going to sit back and load up on cookies and spiked egg nog. I’m not sure what Idlewyld put in it, but I’m startsin to feelz reaallly goooodss. Uhhh ohh (S19) PT4 - ‘Tis the Season - MSombrero - 12-24-2019 Christmas can be a tough time if you’re away from family. This isn’t the case for Matt Murphy though. Having recently declared himself for the DSFL and claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Grey Ducks, he’s throwing himself into the city for the holidays. Holidazzle dazzled with the light displays and vendors, Minnesotan food made him question the natives taste buds with Lutefish. The Lefse and tot Hotdish sort of made up for this. Spending the holiday in Minneapolis has convinced Matt that this would be a fine place to spend the next year. Whilst not with family, Matt’s looking forward to spending time around the holidays getting to know his new teammates. With a bunch of rookies picked up off of waivers, he’s hoping that the holiday push for playoffs will provide an opportunity to build a bond with the old guard at the Grey Ducks and the new S21 blood. It’s true that Christmas isn’t traditionally a good time of year for birds, but with a little bit of Christmas cheer, Matt hopes to be able to help bring an extra special, but slightly late, Christmas present to the state of Minnesota in the form of an Ultimini tropy. Turkeys might be having a rough go of it, but the Grey Ducks will thrive this holiday season. |
