The best Ultimus tradition --And the one that appeals the most to Baby Yoda!-- is a trip disney world. Just like Patrick Mahomes, Baby Yoda would also like to go to Disney World. He's never been, but he's been told it's the happiest place on Earth, so who wouldn't want to go there? As part of his trip, Yoda would get to go to the Magic Kingdom, where he could ride lots of rides like Space Mountain. Well, roller coasters can be a bit scary, so maybe he'll close his eyes for that one. But he could definitely ride the tea cups and see the Magic Castle. He would also get to interact with characters from his favorite Disney movie, the Princess and the Frog. Then he would go to Epcot Center to meet Figment and learn about the dinosaurs. And, of course, you can't forget the magic kingdom. Yoda loves animals. Well, maybe not all animals, some are better as food... but there are lots of great animals that Yoda does love and would get to see there.

Yoda is especially excited to visit Galaxy's Edge, the new Star Wars park. He's not sure why, but he feels like he would be comfortable there. He could ride the Millennium Falcon ride and meet Star Wars characters like Chewbacca, Darth Vader, C3-P0, and R2-D2. Not mention everyone's favorite green Star Wars character, Greedo. It would be a fun adventure and the whole team is invited.

Well, as I am a rookie I have no previous experience as to what celebrations might go on when a team wins the Ultimus/Ultimini. I guess I can assume what the Buccaneers will do if we win to make up for my young mind. When Myrtle Beach wins in S20, we're going to have the best celebration the league has ever seen. Tears will be shed on the field, some very emotional hugs and kisses for the homies will be exchanged while the media and camera scrum looks on. As soon as we get off the field, the entire locker room will undoubtedly say "LET'S GOOOOO" or "YES WE DID IT" when the sim runs out. We'll probably flood the DSFL rookie chat with "MYRTLE BEACH BEST BEACH" and Rotticus Scott's signature goof of saying he has to say something serious, then posting "GO MB" as his serious statement. What a funny guy that round 14'er is.

The biggest celebration for MB will be how close we have all gotten since the draft, and how we're all great pals now. Winning is the best thing on Earth, and it gets even more fun when you're doing it with people you appreciate.

After the initial partying and such that happens immediately after the game, the Ultimus champions go on a tour around to each of the nine other NSFL towns to give speeches, much like the Hunger Games victor does with the other districts. During these speeches, players will regale the captive audience about big plays that the champions made against their team, discredit their stars, or otherwise display their dominance over the losing teams. The home team is normally sitting on stage to listen to the roasts directly. Per custom, the teams sit in silence, letting the champions have their time. However, if someone speaks up in protest the champions are permitted to tackle them to the ground. After the trip through the NSFL towns, the DSFL towns are visited next. Players under the champion’s control that played for the DSFL team during the season are held in high honor (though most believe it’s meant to be sarcastic in nature). Players belonging to other teams are usually ignored, and the rookies that are yet to be drafted are basically told that if the champion team doesn’t pick them it’s because they weren’t good enough (even if they are drafted first round before the champions even have a chance to pick). The purpose of this exercise was designed to give the other teams motivation to unseat the champions next season and encourage parity.

Of course, that’s what my big brother told me when he was making fun of me for losing against him the other day, that the winner gets to make fun of the loser just like in the NSFL, but I’m not sure I believe him…

Well so far, Chicago knows no success in the Ultimus. Not only that, but it hardly knows any success in the regular season as well. So when we in Chicago win a game, any game, it is a big deal. We have parades for regular season wins. Why wouldn't we? They're just as rare as an Ultimus win these days. The guys go get some Chicago deep dish and some Chicago style hot dogs then we get back to the grind to try to improve. But somewhere deep inside, almost like it was another life, I feel like somewhere in Yellowknife, the Wraiths have a pretty legendary Ultimus celebration. We are not forced to do White House visits. We don't go to Disney. We head to the Canadian parliament for a bit, say hi to Justin Trudeau then hit up a Leafs and Raptors game that evening. Once back in Yellowknife we have a parade, pulled by sled dogs and end the day with a city wide snowball fight. It is legendary, with both fans, players, GMs, owners all participating in the snow ball fight. Lets you take out all your frustrations and emotion bottled up through the entire season. 201

Once I win an Ultimus, I’ll let you know. Joking aside, I’d like to think that it would follow a similar path to what the NFL does. As a defensive player (and we can honestly broaden this to the point of saying as a non-QB), odds are I won’t be the Ultimus MVP. That won’t stop me from doing my own celebrations. I personally would be all about a trip to Disney. I’ve been there twice and am heading backing for my honeymoon. They call it the most magical place in the world and who am I to argue with “they”. I also don’t believe you can be too old to go. Take a look at Brooke and Robin Lopez. Two 7-foot brothers racing around Disney with each other having a great time. I think what I’ll probably do is invite all my NOLA teammates and the Milwaukee Bucks to come hang out with me there. I’m sure Giannis will be thrilled after winning his own NBA championship. After all that fun, I would celebrate privately with my close friends and family. They have all had a huge impact on my life, a lot of them pushing me to be the best player and person I could be. Regardless of if I win, I thank them for what they have given me. If I did win it all though, you can bet we would have one hell of a party. I would also go around the city of New Orleans and thank them for their support of the team. Win or lose, rain or shine, our fans show up and show out. We couldn’t be more blessed for that support and I would love giving back to them as well.

If I were to win Ultimas, I'd love to Disney World with the team! Its named the best place on earth for a reason. I'm sure may people on the team have never been to Disney World or if they have, it has probably been quite some time. You can never be too old to go see Mickey Mouse or the Magical Kingdome. It should be a tradition just as the NFL follows. Myrtle Beach is roughly eight hours from Disney, so a long bus ride or a plane ride with the team would be a great time, especially after winning the Ultimas. I don't see why we can't win it this year. We got a solid all around lineup and a team that is willing to put in the extra hours to make it all the way this year! Just imagine the boys riding on the Tower of Terror, laughing at Mouseman puking his guts out while riding it. Coryalis would be having just as much fun as we would, he wouldnt have to worry about making a scheme for the game or even getting us all to sleep at a decent hour. No responsabilities ofr anyone in charge normally and all the fun you can have for that time that we would be there.

When Hehateme wins the championship he ain't going to no Disneyland or world. There's not gonna be a ticker-tape parade for him, or soda pop, or shoe deals, or cereal boxes, or anything like that. Why? Cause as stated before, Hehateme isn't a role model.

He does his job, wins games, and goes home to train for the next season. Who has time to go to Disneyworld when off season is just around the corner and another season of NSFL football. You know who goes to Disneyworld? Chumps who don't want to win, chumps who think it's cool to unwind during the off season instead of honing your craft.

If you want rings or titles, you don't take a day off. If you want to be the best, you don't take a day off. If you want to be a certified immortal, you don't take a day off. That's how Hehateme's been taught, and that's how he is, straight up and down like 6 o'clock.

When Hehateme wins the big game, he's gonna take his ring, put it on, admire it for 5 seconds. Take it off, put it in his vault and get on with his life. Don't come to me about this nonsense of Disneyland. Disneyland ain't nothing. There is only Picksix.

Being part of the season 15 Otter's draft class has definitely given me numerous opportunities at winning the Ultimus. With that, several "traditions" have formed for us Otters players and for me specifically. First and probably the most obvious, we have got to go to Disneyland. I mean, that's just how it works. If you win a championship, you have to go to Disneyland. At this point, I think it's become more of a rule than it is a tradition. Also, another tradition would be that we never look passed anyone. Even though we have won three Ultimus Championships in a row now, we still can't get comfortable. Anything can happen in this league, so we can't take anything for granted. Every win matters, no matter what the record of our opponent is at the time. Our tradition is to never stop pushing to be the best. Yes, we can take the time to celebrate with our teammates and families, but when it's time to get back to work, we know what we have to do. We're always ready for whatever challenge is thrown at us. I think that's what has allowed us to be such strong competitors for as long as we have been.

Unfortunately I am too new of a player to have won an Ultimus trophy, but I was lucky enough to be picked up on waivers and help the Minnesota Grey Ducks win the Ultimini last season. Of course the celebration kicked off directly after the game in the locker room where we had the traditional champagne showers. Or should I say sparkling cider showers as some of us were not yet of age. After that we had an after party with trophy in hand and again some more “sparkling cider”. Later in the week we hand the usual parade which was one of the craziest experiences in my life. The streets were full of screaming fans and unlike the stadium they were so close that the screams seemed even louder. As soon as we stepped onto that float and the crowed roared I had chills down my spine. The final tradition that we follow of course is the meeting with the president at the White House lunch. That was special in its own way as listening to such an influential person who is often called the leader of the free world is something else. Just his presence alone makes you realize why he earned that title. After all that my favorite part may not have been a tradition for most but I plan on making it a tradition I uphold, celebrating with my family. In Hawaii when something special happens all the family gets together and we have a big potluck and just enjoy each others company. Something I hope I can share with my teammates and make a tradition for them the next time we win one.
