Two of my Kansas City Coyotes teammates, Rando Cardrissian and Chris Kross, deserve individual awards for their respective positions. Cardrissian is a big, strong power RB who is second in the league in total rushing yards and first in rushing touchdowns. His 13 rushing TDs are five more than anyone else, and it is 10 more than the league’s leading rusher. His efficiency is very good as well at 5.1 yards per carry. Offense is all about getting into the endzone, and in my opinion his giant touchdown total has led to the most value added out of any other DSFL RB this season. My other teammate that deserves individual recognition is the speed demon wide receiver Chris Kross, the flyin’ Hawaiian. I admit the WR of the year award has a few worthy recipients, but there’s not a lot of separations between them. On the whole DSFL quarterbacks are having a rough year, and these WRs are dependent on those arms to get them the ball. Nonetheless, Chris Kross is leading the league in receiving yards and has the highest yards per reception as well. When he gets the ball, he makes it count, that’s the efficiency you like to see from a speed receiver. (206 words)

Leon McDavid has been absolutely killing the game! Being up to 196 TPE shows how much he cares not only about himself, but about his teammates as well. Being eight and two right now is no joke or anything to brush off. McDavid has been a huge part of the offense while helping out make the job for us defenders pretty easy. As long as the offense is scoring, we can sit back into our most favourable coverage and eat up the opponents offensive line. Wear and tear is a big part of the game and it helps when you have a guy like Leon that doesnt let anything faze him going into a game. I am teammates with McDavid in a baseball league and he puts in just as much work over there as in the DSFL. He is an all around greath guy and a great teammate. It isnt easy to find teammates like that in not only one sport, but two sports. Being a two sport athlete is no joke, if you arent willing to work then you should not even consider doing two sports at all. McDavid has my vote for any tight end award as he deserves it more than anyone in this league!

Quote:Written Option: This week is the week of both the Oscars and Valentine’s Day. For this week’s PT, spread the love! Write 200 words or more on why one or more of your teammates deserves recognition in this year’s NSFL/DSFL awards.

The Hawks had an up and down season, but in all those ups and down was one very bright light. That bright light was non other than Juan Marston the rookie cornerback came in and made a big impact from the start.

With an offense that struggled to score on occasions Marston was a big factor in trying to get points for the Hawks. With 3 interceptions on the year Marston ran 2 of those for a defenseive touchdowns. Leading the entire NSFL defense in touchdowns. Besides 2 pick six's on 3 interceptions, Maston also recorded 6 deflected passes and was a pest to opposing Quarterbacks with 3 safeties. Add 48 tackles and 2 of them for a loss of yardage and you round out Marstons impressive rookie numbers. Also we should not that Juan was able to force a fumble.

Marston had two very big standout preformaces but his biggest was in week 2 against the Philadelphia Liberty. The Hawks were down 17-20 in the final quarter, but Juan made a huge interception for a return which ended up being the winning points.

So if there is someone from the Hawks team who deserves some love come award season, it has to be Juan as the defenseive rookie of the year.

This is a bitter sweet topic as the player on my team that deserves awards recognition has sadly decided to go inactive. Bjorn Ironside is having a monsterous season at defensive tackle and deserves a lot of recognition for his incredible season. With double digit sacks he is up at the top in the league for sacks this season as a defensive tackle. Something I know he thought he would never see before he decided to step away from the league. Bjorn Ironside should definitely be in the conversation for defensive player of the year for season 20 of the nsfl. To dominate the line of scrimmage the way he has is truly impressive. Maybe my friend Isa will venture in and see how well he has done and decide to come back. I also want to give a shout out to New Orleans Second Line kicker Herbert Prohaska who is quietly having an amazing season. At 95% accuracy on field goals he is leading the league in the category. He also has an impressive 14 punts inside the 20, which is good for second in the league. In only his second season these numbers are truly impressive. Can't wait to see Prohaska dominate as a kicker for years to come.

If I had to pick one Baltimore Hawk player to win an NSFL award it could be Elite WR Earl Maddox. Maddox has 1035 yards on 55 catches and 9 touchdowns. While Earl’s catches may leave him just outside the top 10 in the league, he is currently 7th in yards and 4th in touchdowns. What may be more incredible is his 18.8 yards per reception which ranks him 5th in the league. Maddox also leads the rest of the Baltimore Hawks pass catchers by 3 touchdowns and over 250+yards. The man has just under 50% of the touchdown catches for the entire Hawks team! He is a dominant offense weapon who makes big plays with the ball in his hands. While it hasn’t been a great year for the Hawks offense overall Maddox has attempted to step up every game and put this team on his back. While I don’t believe Maddox will be able to win the award with receivers like Nate Swift and Rod Tidwell putting up huge numbers the awards committee would be insane to not have all world level receiver Earl Maddox on the ballot. However, if the committee decides against it, at least put him on the List for best returner.

What awards? awards nothing. The only person who deserves any awards is Picksix. Picksix gave the entire league a 6 week head start and look at the race now. 2nd in PD, only 2 INTS behind the league
leader. This is the true might and testament of Picksix.

As for love? all you need is yourself baby, all you need is yourself. Picksix got plenty of love for himself, and what's not to love baby, generational god given talent, ability to trash talk opponents into submission before the game even starts.

The only award that matters for Picksix, is the plaque to the hall of fame baby. Nothing else matters. The sportswriters hate me, the powers that be hate me, but my numbers don't lie. One day, when my playing career is over and the dust has settled on the field, I will be a certified immortal. And there ain't nothing you sons of bitches can do about it. Nothing.

Don't come talking to me about no awards or love other people or some other hippie nonsense. You train hard, believe in yourself because no one else will and when you climb that mountain and get to the peak, you'll finally know that you've done it and it was because of you, no one else.
