(S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Vorshayla - 03-09-2020 The Sabercats addressed some glaring holes with this last draft. Otis Allen, HeHateMe PickSix, Leon McDavid, Chip Otle all huge bigs that fill big gaps for a team that lacked defense last season. PickSix is a franchise cornerback that only comes along once every 10-15 years. Ask Portland how their defense was after he forced his way out to Myrtle Beach. Ask Myrtle Beach how their defense improved to a league record 8.2 points allowed since PickSix joined their already scary secondary. Otis will provide pressure on NSFL QB's, forcing them to make mistakes in throwing the ball towards PickSix. When that happens it's 6 points going back the other way. McDavid will be playing with a chip on his shoulder after having a monster year in the DSFL and not being even nominated for any year end awards. With Deck being brought up to the big club as well, the San Jose Sabercats have a young hungry talent defense that will only grow with time. But the foundational pieces have all been brought together as of S21 Chip Otle was an absolute steal at his spot and he shores up a re-imagined defensive line that is both excellent at pass rushing and run stopping. Hats off to the GMs of the Sabercats for an amazing draft this season 219 words (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - retrospace111 - 03-09-2020 Kehla got drafted to the Portland Pythons, but He's not going to imitate any other player in The league, and He wouldn't dare impersonate the legend PickSix himself, but all jokes aside, the Pythons are going to be stacked this season. The top 3 cornerbacks in the draft were drafted by the Pythons, and the legend Isidore himself wrote an article about the weighted TPE average of our defense, and it was miles ahead of every other team. Sure, Bauer was chosen before either Alexander Hamilton or I, but there was bias there. He's defintely not as good as I am, and neither is Alexander Hamilton but it's ok because we both went to the same team. I'm glad I got drafted by the Pythons, even if it was too low of a pick for me. Some other players would have killed to be drafted as high as I did, especially Jim Wat_rs. I'm not saying names though. But I'm a top 5 prospect, and I expect that success to continue in this league. My team is moving me to Free Safety, but I'm OK with that. With Tyler Oles at CB1 and Alexander Hamilton II at CB2 and me at FS, our secondary is going to be hella nasty. I cannot wait to feast. We have one of the fastest secondaries in the league, because all 3 of us have over 85 speed. I expect to rack up more sacks than interceptions because of how the sim works honestly. I don't need strength if I can just run by the offensive lineman, right? I've seen free safeties get tons of sacks in seasons before, so I hope this helps benefit my stats. I do care about winning the Ultimini, but let's be real, I'm going to win that defensive back of the year, I'm going to win that defensive rookie of the year, I'm going to win that defensive player of the year, I'm going to win that most valuable player award. You can bet on that, but not with my money. I've got $30 Mil in the bank, how about you? (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - s4ndr0p - 03-09-2020 The Royals were in a tough spot. The Lions out of London had to draft a whole roster of player because they entered the 21st season as an expansion Team. The Royals put a big emphasis on creating a strong defense. This was not only noticable due to the fact they spend amajority of their early picks on the defense but also DeadlyPlayer who gave some insights in the Royals draft philosophy during the presentation. QB Colby Jack and RB Acura Skyline are two of the elite prospects who were chosen to build a strong offense with. Tight End Arrabiata also is a prospect to watch. He has been very active since draft week and is stacking up TPE. The drafted Cornerbacks Avery, Harris and Stackinpaper are pretty much guaranteed to perform. Their star LB De Ville will be an important asset for the Royals Front seven. Gronlie and Ryeu build the heart of the defensive line and, seriously, I can imagine the royals d-line destroying opposing runningbacks with a little help of their backs like De Ville. The Royals roster is one of the most interesting this season. Eventhough the royals are at the bottom of basically every power ranking before the season we won't know how this core is going to perform until the season comes along. Watch out though, I'll promise you that there are stars in the making! 232 words (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Memento Mori - 03-09-2020 In season 20, Myrtle Beach lost to Minnesota in the Ultimini. To get back to the Ultimini, and hopefully go one better, the Myrtle Beach staff needed to replace players leaving for greener pastures in the NSFL and improve on the team's weaknesses. The Buccaneers finished #1 in the DSFL for interceptions and passes defended in S20, but star DBs Prince Vegeta and HeHateMe PickSix were drafted in the top five of the draft by Orange County and San Jose respectively and look likely to be plying their trade in the big leagues. Myrtle Beach will hope they can replace them with newly acquired safety Johnny Hellzapoppin and cornerback Brandon Booker. Myrtle Beach faced more difficulty on the other side of the ball last year - their offense scored just three points in the Ultimini defeat. The three tight ends on the roster combined for just 14 catches for 107 yards all season as part of a below-average passing attack. Myrtle Beach look to have solved this issue by drafting TE Heath Evans with the 39th overall pick, who figures to be the #1 TE for the Bucs. Evans is listed as the fastest tight end in his class, boasting an impressive 84 speed - his addition provides quarterback Chris Ramos with a quality receiving option over the middle. If Evans can improve his blocking skills, Myrtle Beach look likely to surpass the league-leading 3061 rushing yards they accumulated last season - as starting offensive linemen Simon Tremblay and Douglas Quail look set to return alongside draftee Bruce Buckley. But, with all their DSFL rivals improving too it remains to be seen if this will be enough to see Myrtle Beach over the line. Quote:281 words (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - ddrector - 03-09-2020 As a member of the New Orleans Second Line I don't think we will see many of our new draft picks on the field this season, however, there is a lot of new things to be excited about. For the first time in recent memory our wide receiver corp isn't so flooded with talent. In previous years our leader and quarterback Stan Francisco had a hard time distributing the ball to everyone. With a smaller group we should see some big seasons from receivers like Jones and Podolak as well as studly tight end Austin McCormick. All three of these guys as well as our incredible running back duo in Gump and Toriki should have a hell of a year in the receiving game. On the defensive side we were extremely sad to lose Johnny Slothface to a tragic and sudden death, but fortunately his identical twin brother has stepped in like Johnny was never gone, and he even asked us to call him Johnny too, so most days I forgot we lost the original Johnny Slothface. We haven't had a game yet to see how he does on the field, but in training camp and in practices he's been just as good as original Johnny ever was. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - flyeaglesfly29 - 03-09-2020 PT Pass (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Raheem James - 03-09-2020 As a Player of the Portland Pythons i knew what the team Needed That being a Monster Defense since that was our main weakness last season. Now there's two sides to that Monster defense one being our defensive team as a whole and to build a wall to protect our star quarterback in George O’Donnell. So With that laid out to you now let's talk about some of the newest Pythons in the Snake Pit. where to star oh i know let's start at CB Since we got three of the best CBs in the draft with Tyler Oles JR, Alexander Hamilton II and Zamir Kehla Anyone of these three could be stars on any Team at CB but by having all three makes them even more dangerous. now let's talk about Safety we Added in Shawn Dawkins who's got a good chance to make big moves at safety and i have hope to see him put in a Safety of the year Season. Now the other side of that Coin the Offensive linemen my fair rubs boys. this is hard since we have Stacked O-line that is built for one thing that being to protect our QB. There are many more names i could talk about in our new Rookie lineup but i think i'll save that for a podcast or something else. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Coterminity - 03-09-2020 With the dust just settling from the DSFL draft, I think what really strikes me about Norfolk’s draft strategy was how well they added players that will make positive contributions to the roster on the defensive side of the ball. In particular, I am tremendously excited to see our monster defensive line in action. Picking up Thubba Bumper with the 6th pick was a bit of a coup in my opinion - with 149 TPE and 82 speed, he’s going to be able to put up pressure on offenses very quickly and really become the core of a solid defensive unit. Combined with Magnus Rikiya, our 10th pick defensive tackle, and Matt Cross, our 14th pick safety, they’re really going to make it difficult for offenses by creating pressure on the passer to get the ball out quickly and ensuring effective center field coverage further down the field. In addition, all these 3 key members of our defensive have great intangibles as well. The tremendous pace at which they’re pumping out media bodes extremely well for future TPE and bank account development, and the personality and vigour they bring to locker room chat in the discord make they amazing presences to have on the team. I am nothing but confident that they’re going to make life hell for our opponents’ offenses next season. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Lemon - 03-09-2020 This season, the Orange County Otters picked up some of the absolute best players in the entire draft class, in my opinion. For starters, they managed to snag Prince Vegeta in the first overall spot. Vegeta is notoriously active, and has quickly become an integral part of the community in his single season presence. Additionally, OCO also selected Rapid Eagle as their second pick, a long-time friend of Prince Vegeta, and another very active community member. Rounding out the lower end of their draft picks, they selected myself, online a ton of the time and getting heavily involved in jobs around the league, and players like Ryan Scott, cheery as can be. To say that the OCO clubhouse will be a chatty hotspot would be an understatement at best. I believe the penultimate tool that a team can have is activity, to keep the players motivated and interested in the game, and improving their player. The Orange County Otters certainly have no shortage of activity or motivation, and it will show this season. I can't wait to play with this draft class for the next few seasons. Although we may not boast competitive stats yet at this point in our careers, we will certainly be ready to rumble with the best by this time next season. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - HENDRIX 2.0 - 03-09-2020 The Yellowkife Wraiths are currently in a window of contention. They have won the NSFC championship the last several years but have came up short in the Ultimus several times in heartbreaking fashion. This is going to be the year where they finally finish the job. An already strong offense signed a very talented wide receiver by the name of Bender B. Rodriguez away from the New Orleans Second Line. This gives the Wraiths a great triple threat at WR to go along with their star QB Bigsby and reining RB of the Year Hanyadi. That signing also weakened one of their main Ultimus rivals. In the draft they picked two immediate starters in LB Quaid and K/P Smalls. Quaid is going to add a lot of athleticism and versatility to a defense that is getting on the older side. Smalls is a kicker with great potential and will replace the Wraiths former slacker of a kicker. The defensive line got bolstered as well thanks to the Kroustis position switch. The Wraiths have a few more swings of the bat to finally knock it out of the park and capture the franchise’s second Ultimus, the last of which being in season 8. The planets have aligned this season, the only thing left to do is get out on the field and earn it. (223 words) |
