I appreciate the nomination and especially the second chance at making it into the HoF next season.
What does it take to get inducted as an LB? 2 Ultimuses, top 10 in all time tackles, 3 Pro Bowls, 1 Defensive Player of the Year (somehow he didn't win LB of the Year...). I'm not sure what else could be expected of an LB. Maybe more Pro Bowls?
Regardless it's very exciting to see Pennington up there at least somewhat close to having been inducted. Fingers crossed for next season!

So I tried looking at the other LBs that have been retired and I didn't really see any consistency.
Johnathan Saint: 0 Ultimuses, 8 Pro Bowls, 1 LBotY
Harrif Ernston: 3 Ultimuses, 4 Pro Bowls, 1 DPotY, 3 LBotY
Jaylon Lee: 4 Ultimuses, 5 Pro Bowls
Chad Pennington: 2 Ultimuses, 3 Pro Bowls, 1 DPotY
So is it that he didn't win an LB of the Year? Because if that's it I'm pretty unhappy with that. I'm still not sure how you win defensive player of the year but not your defensive position's award.
