Worth noting is that Yellowknife have secured the #1 pick of S2 meaning it's not likely I'll be on an expansion team, also Fox is GM of the Liberty meaning he is going #7 in round 1 as they said in their post. Good write up, nice and concise!

Your first point is a good one (I'll edit OP) but shouldn't Fox go #9 then? The liberty would pick with the first pick of the 2nd round. There are 8 teams. 8 + 1 =/= 7.

Maybe they considered that he would have gone first round and decided it was only fair for him to go with the first round pick.
