I mean the thing is I know I fucked up and it won't happen again in Tijuana bc our war room is now very aware of the spirit of the dsfl. I got heated bc I was removed from the war room so I found out about all this after the fact and didn't get a say in it. And also I had campaigned since round 4 for us to draft spec and we finally got him just for him to be ripped away so I can't play with my friend. And also MB ugly logo makes me irrationally mad. And also thor's Australian accent.
If I could redo it 100% I'd enter the draft and we would've taken me in the first and theres no problem but Mith and Swanky getting fined for my mistake is dumb even if it's just setting precedent so this doesn't happen again for other recreates.

Yeah no. Don’t fine the Tijuana gms for doing nothing wrong. That’s bullshit. This is all because Ben couldn’t pull up his big boy pants and be drafted (no offense to Ben since he has since owned up to his mistake) but if anyone should be fined it’s him. But there shouldn’t even be a fine to it in the first place

I've been in this league for over 3 years and never been punished for anything and I finally do something wrong and they punish someone else cmon guys you're making me look like a square

I haven't seen what evidence HO has used to make the decision on this punishment so I'll refrain from giving any opinion on that and address the direct (and occasionally personal) attacks on Myrtle Beach and myself instead, keep in mind the quotes below are only segments of the original posts so if you're confused please view that post for the full context. This will be my only statement on the issue.

Unfortunately reaching out to you could have been considered leaking, and we were aiming to follow the rules here so did not make any direct contact. From all of our previous encounters I had found you to be a pleasant person who didn't seem to have any issues with me, and I was unaware at first that you had an issue with coming to play for us which was so severe that it would have caused you to retire. We would have been very happy to have you on the team, as an active player and high (if not max) earning player as we only have one active cornerback and were looking for another alongisde him, but given your wishes and the desire Tijuana had to have you on the roster, instead we tried to negotiate a trade to ensure you were on a team which you'd be happy with while ensuring we didn't lose out on player value.
We were asked to assign a pick value to you and determined if you'd been in the draft and still on the board around the 5th-6th round, that it would be considered a steal to pick you up there - we felt and believe that asking for a player who was an 11th round pick was not only fair, but potentially even generous especially given the following statement:

Which says to me that the value assigned by your own team would be a first round pick. I'm glad that we could work out a deal that got you onto the team you wanted to play for, who also wanted you to be there - while we gained a player who was happy to play for us. Claiming that we were operating in any way outside the 'spirit of the DSFL' is baseless and upsetting, when all that we were looking to do was improve the experience for the players on our team by adding good, active users to our roster.

The DSFL GM's enacted this rule to make people go to the draft after... Ben?, the S15 Tijuana GM, abused the system to, ironically enough, draft Spec in the inactive portion of the draft. You weren't punished last time so I have no problem with them punishing the Luchas this time.
Stop trying to manipulate the draft people. If you want a player take him high or risk another team taking him first, those are your choices. Or you could try the novel concept of experiencing something new with another team that clearly values you more than your old team. To me, this is what HO is in place in the DSFL to prevent. Glad to see the rules enforced properly this time.

Dude if you're a DSFL GM and didn't know that I've been loyal to Tijuana since the single digit seasons then you haven't been doing your job very well. You claimed me on waivers with the intention of trying to get something out of Tijuana you can just admit it we're being honest here.
I thought that since we were in contact already you would reach out if you took me so I was surprised you didn't tbh, bc I also thought you were cool from the few interactions I'd had. And tbh I don't have anything against most MB people just a couple I would never play for and the fact I'd never play for another DSFL team.
Also I am very far from a max earning player lmfao flattery will get you nowhere.

The only reason I'd be taken in the first would be the "don't be a dick" rule, tbh this was an amazing class I would expect to go about where Payton went so 3rd round. Again, you knew what you were doing so acting like you had no idea I wouldn't play for you is either a load of shit or negligence by you or your war room.
Like I said I wanted to play with my boi spec so I'd be happier if we traded a pick for next year to you as ransom.

Dude why did you circle me I went in the second bc I was a gm.
And spec told a lot of teams he was going to create sometime in the draft, he was previously Portlands GM so they knew and I'm pretty sure he'd told TC at the Marshalls as well.
That rule was (rightfully) put in place bc multiple teams used it to their advantage, it's a bit rough to say it was only bc of us

I guess you don't know the reason Spec went that super low was when the draft (When this draft class was fucking garbage past the top people) was happening in real time for the GMs he had just created the player Hugh Mongo and that was how far the draft had gotten so Luchadores just got extremely lucky they were up cause he could've been a Marshall or a Python quite easily based off timing.
Trust me I remember being obsessed with being better than him and Wolfie when I was new and whoever was doing the draft and semi upset we now had a second Wide Receiver I had to prove myself against in DSFL. Well, that or the dude doing the draft completely lied about being upset they didn't get Spec due to poor timing.
