Especially harsh punishment for a new user. Not everyone knows the tamper rules by heart. Give him a break

What negative thing could have possibly arose from LB's comment? Are we afraid the player he "tampered" is going to request a trade? Last I checked, GM's are allowed to say no to trades.

"Hey man just bank all of your TPE while you're on your team and demand a trade to my team!"
But this is clearly not even close to that

Wack punishment for a dude who didn't know the rules and was probably also joking. I doubt this was a serious attempt at trying to get him back to Portland. Just warn him or stick with a fine (maybe lesser as 5M is a lot to some).

I wonder what team was so insecure about their own players wanting to play for them, that they pushed for tampering in the DSFL? What’s he gunna do? leave in FA? It’s the DSFL

no no I put that out as an example for why a tampering ban is there for DSFL

Should've just posted nsfw memes, at least then it would've been fun and you would've gotten nearly the same punishment. <3 you LB

But why is the punishment for this the same as some pretty clear cut, multi-day conversations of tampering between players
