(S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - Damienj10 - 08-12-2017 What the Liberty to get closer as a team is a bunch of things. Most recently it was.a mango eating contest. Why mangos you ask? Well tbh I am not even sure myself I mean we are a fairly new team so I guess the budget for a pizza eating contest was thrown out the window also another thing is that we do is watch every lord of the rings movie every time someone falls asleep we tape them to the roof. Fun? Not really because I spent half the night on the roof. Another thing the Liberty do is play football honestly the only team building really has to be actually on the field. I am typing this to help build my team because it makes me a better player when I step onto the field with that brand new tpe sitting on my player. So in theory to build our team in a team building exercise is to excersise TPE gain by the excersising the PT Game. In conclusion the way the Liberty team build is very magical we eat mangos tape people to roofs and type out every PT like a mad man because we want to be hall of famers (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - kckolbe - 08-12-2017 After a six game road trip, bonding maybe wasn’t what the Wraiths needed. For good or ill, the players had spent a lot more time together than most NSFL teams had during that month and a half, and it showed by the end. Despite starting off alternating wins and losses, the last two games, both devastating losses, against rivals Baltimore and Philly showed that maybe the aptly colored blue and black team needed a break from both travel and each other. It started with distance. Once back in Yellowknife, the players were cleared to get away. There would be no film review the following day. If the arguments on the flight back were any indication, the players were pretty aware that on-field performance would need to improve if they wanted to re-earn the playoff spot they’d just lost. They were given a small bit of homework, though. Each player had to go through the game film from the previous games and make a list of their favorite moments for each player on the team. They were all turned in, and the most frequently listed moments for each player were read out while they were gathered in the locker room together. The Wraiths were reminded that every one of them were capable of big plays, and that they were still contenders. Us Yeti's do not stop talking about how we could become better as a player with each other and also offer some advice. Some players will tell jokes or talk about them memes if you know what I'm saying, others more serious and more into the grind of being a better football player. This game brings us all together though, as we laugh together when we win and we also are sad and disappointed in our losses. We try to improve our strategies for teams through film sessions where we kind of look at each other's plays and be our own critics on how we should have played or what not. The Yeti Locker room is a fun place but could also become a more serious place at times. It is all fun and games and we try to have as much fun as possible (by winning the Ultimus) because we know at the end of the season, some of the players will be out of the locker room, moving on to new teams, and we also know that new players will come in through the draft or free agency. Players come and go. So we spend our times together wisely, trying to have fun but also improve ourselves as we go along. (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - Perry87 - 08-12-2017 ![]() @fish@HalfEatenOnionBagel (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - RainDelay - 08-12-2017 Team bonding is a very important part of chemistry. Players can be as talented as ever, and even be remotely cohesive on the field, but if there's no camaraderie off the field, success might be hard to come by. The San Jose SaberCats may mot be getting it done on the turf at the moment, riding a four game losing skid, but they are certainly getting it done off the field. I can't speak for any other of the NSFL's franchises, but I do know that this California team is a great group of guys. They often have game nights in the clubhouse or on weekends. Sometimes they will play tabletops, other times popular video games, including Madden, NBA 2K, Overwatch and Counterstrike. The gatherings are always a fun time, and the team members have gotten to know each other much more as a result. Not every team member is available each time these nights take place, but every player has been able to attend on certain occasions, making it a new mix of people regularly. When new members join the team, they get invited as well, and often join in on the festivities, which is a good way to really feel like one of the guys. (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - Darnellthebeast - 08-12-2017 The Hawks have a bit of an odd tradition among themselves. In order to bond as a team, the players have become obsessed with the game cornhole. In cornhole, two boards on an incline face each other, approximately 30 feet apart, each with a hole in the center. Players lineup behind the boards and attempt to toss beanbags either into the holes or onto the board. For every beanbag that lands on the board, it's worth one point. Every beanbag that goes in the hole is worth three. Players take turns throwing four beanbags and first to 21 points wins. The Baltimore Hawks play cornhole before and after every practice and game. The players are truly obsessed with it, holding tournaments nearly every week. The current reigning champ, Darnell Turner, is especially dedicated. He spends at least an hour a day practicing and playing games. The fun game helps bring the team together and improves chemistry. Double matches do a great job of building bonds between teammates; players must work together and make sure they don't knock their teammates beanbag off of the board. The current reigning double champions are Scrub Kyubee and Darlane Farlane, two members of the Hawk's explosive backfield. (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - sapp2013 - 08-12-2017 Whenever we have some time to ourselves, the hawks receivers get together and just grill out. hot dogs, burgers, brats, BBQ chicken, you name it. we grab 2 cases of beer and just sit back and relax. depending on whose house we are at, at coop's place, we typically have a cannon ball contest or work on our pool trick shots since he has the nicest pool. at my place, we set up a cornhole tournament and might invite some others over to really have a good time. JB likes to do some, uhh, recreational activities and we might get some games of Mario Party or Madden going. Shaloiko always tries to get us to play some sort of poker game, whether its Texas Hold'em, blackjack, or 5 card draw. I am always fine with it because I find a way to recoup my money by the end of the night.Ironically, Shaloiko loses money everytime we play and yet he is the one that wants to bet higher and higher each time. We have been thinking about including the rest of the team, but They all seem so busy with their workout regiments and just don't find time to relax. They have my number if they ever want to hang. (211 words) (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - ErMurazor - 08-12-2017 The Outlaws like to have a stand-up comedy night every Monday to bring the team back together over the weekend. If you’re nominated to go up and tell some jokes, you’ve got to do it before you go home, otherwise the rest of the team gives you shit until you can redeem yourself the next week. The best stand-up guy is probably Dustin Evans or Dental Dam. They can really get everybody falling out of their seats. Another guy who is able to bring the funny jokes when he does is Mayran Jackson. He’s not the most animated guy when he’s got the floor and he isn’t always stepping up, but when he decides he’s ready for a comedy night he kills it. Jason Williams is probably the best roaster. You've got to watch what you say on comedy night in front of him or we'll spin that around and burn you after practice. I guess he even made one guy cry and ask to be traded because he burned him so hard last season. He's the silent comedy killer man. The two worst comedians on the team are hands down Arbin Asipi and Christiano Ronaldo. Arbin just throws out a lot of stuff and hopes something sticks. Sometimes he’ll come up with a good one-liner but then he beats that joke to death. I don’t know what Ronaldo’s thing is. I think there might be some weird Portuguese humor barrier that we haven’t been able to get over. When Ronaldo is there for the comedy nights, he doesn’t seem to grasp the jokes and nobody can figure out his either. Regardless, there’s nothing like slamming some beers and revisting our favorite topics like Mike “6 int” Boss, Ryan Flock trying to convince us Stormblessed’s mom is a milf, and Asipi trying to match my dance moves after a sack. @DeathOnReddit @Kendrick @theFlock @AsylumParty @Foompin @RayCobaine (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - DeathOnReddit - 08-12-2017 The outlaws like to bond together by cracking open a cold one on Saturday. We sit around the ole television, and watch lowlights of mike boss sucking against us. Or we watch highlights of our season 1. If we drink a little too much, then sometimes a game of truth or dare happens. Crazy things have came out of that, such as Jayce daring Ryan Flock to call up Stormblessed and call his mom a MILF. We also forced Jayce to sign up for Dancing With The Stars. Overall the team has bonded a lot from these moments but hands down the best moment was forcing our GM to trade someone. We like to take the truth or dare serious, but we didnt know that when we told Adwyer to trade Stormblessed to the Legion he would actually do it. When we woke up and got over the hangover, we cracked up about him actually following through with it. We do this every saturday, and as long as the Outlaws are the Outlaws I'm positive that we will continue this tradition. So know, that when one of us does something crazy or stupid, that we were the cause of it. @ErMurazor @theFlock @ADwyer87 (S2) - Weekend PT #5 - Team Bonding - cosbornballboy - 08-12-2017 In the Otters locker room, the main way to blow off steam and relax is snail racing. While this CAN be relaxing, it often turns into a heated battle between Ricardo Sandoval and Marc Spector to see who's snail is worse at living up to the expression, "slow as a snail." These battles often get intense, leading to Jbearly, former GM, having to separate them, and even using Angus Winchester as a barrier between them and the snails. The other activity is looking at the photos of cute girls that Leroy Jenkins posts on the bulletin board as inspiration for the following week's games. Many of the players often times put in requests to Leroy as to which ladies they'd like to see on the wall, however, Jenkins runs a strict no-pornography bulletin board, but they do like gazing at the adorableness of the likes of Allison Brie, something this reporter can always get behind. But no matter what they do, they do it together. The Otters' locker room is one big gigantic enormous titanic family, and they would do anything to defend each other, as well as the honor of the Otters organization. And that's something that should happen in any locker room. |
