RE: (S29) PT 5 - Arguements - WildfireMicro - 06-21-2021 Tsuyu Asui was always considered a bit of a mediator in the locker room. It is why she was called upon to help when Flash Panda and Matt Cross got into am argument over Flash Panda supposedly eating too much. She went into the locker room to get Jimi DeSoto to back her up because he is the other mediator and she talked to botth of them asking what the issue is. Matt talks about being frustrated whenever he sees Flash eating a lot in the locker room and Flash was angry because he has to eat a lot more then humans and doesn't think it should be that big of a deal. Both Jimi and Tsuyu talked for a while and came up with a pretty simple solution: Flash would no longer be allowed to bring anything other then small snacks into the locker room. They both ended agreeing to that and shook hands. Flash even ended up sharing a couple of candy bars that he was hiding in his bag to Matt. Tsuyu also said that if issues like that come up again fighting does not help and if they need to let off steam they should go to an anger room nearby, where they could break things without consequences. RE: (S29) PT 5 - Arguements - jzajenius36 - 06-21-2021 Something that Honky Tonk will always bring to the table, be it in fights outside the realm of football (i.e. bar fights with rowdy, drunken good old boys) or inside the Liberty locker room, is size. Well that and some sick enjoyment in jumping into these moments. As a 6 –foot 3, 300 pound man, a fight between almost any two teammates can be squelched rather quickly by the fat boi. I mean Haywood’s job every week is to smash into several other 300 –plus pound men and try and wrestle them to the ground. So if this conversation is between two of the players at diva positions, like wide receiver, well…let’s just say Haywood outweighs some of these guys by over 100 pounds. As alluded to, there’s also Haywood’s background and attitude which makes him an ideal candidate to play locker room referee. Haywood was first noticed for his physical ability by his soon to be high school football coach, who was introduced to Honky Tonk Haywood while at a bar. Coach was in the crowd as Haywood intervened into a bar room brawl back down in Nashville, where the kiddo, with the help of some nearby guitars, broke up the brawl by breaking a few belligerents in half. That was back when he was helping set up band equipment for minimum wage. He’s since gotten a bit bigger, a bit meaner, and a bit more crazy. Better him be the referee than the guy on the other side of the fight, that’s for sure. There's the infrequent spat about equipment rotations in the gym or who said what to whom. Most conflicts, however, revolve around food in some way or another. Missing items in the breakroom cabinets or fridge, barbecue superiority, and whatever weirdness our alumni network keeps posting to the group chat. Hot Dog Pie, in particular, has started more than one incident. There usually aren't fists thrown but it's not unheard of. It's mostly a lot of yelling and then it's done. Joey counts his lucky stars that he missed the Great Food Fight of 2040, widely regarded as the worst fight ever in Dallas, but there's still the occasional piece of hardened, moldy marshmallow fluff that gets blown out of the vents when the air conditioning kicks on in the locker room. As a Captain now, the managers and coaches look to Joey to be one of the mediators when there's a problem. It seems weird to Joey at times, since he's used to thinking of himself as a low-key, out-of-the-way kind of guy and leadership just isn't really his thing. Picking the team up after a loss or keeping the momentum going after a win is much more in his wheelhouse. It's fascinating to him that his teammates listen when he speaks at all, that they take his recommendations to heart is stunning and kinda cool. That said, his main approach is to observe first and then find and present the middle ground. Common ground and a unified front with Dallas defensive captain Hex Aqua-Key'Kiann is a necessity. And then they work through it. If somebody is accused of stealing and there's proof, apologies are encouraged, replacements bought, and fixes for the problem implemented. In the case of arguments about barbecue, everybody goes out to the smokehouse three blocks away from the stadium after practice for a practical demonstration. Usually everybody is too busy with their own platters to debate which is better because ultimately barbecue is an art form unparalleled in the existence of mankind. If you have a recommended fix for Hot Dog Pie, he's taking suggestions. So naturally a little argument broke out and coach was worried about how this may effect chemistry. So coach asked me to try and step and and moderate, which of course I couldn’t do alone so I called on Dustin Parmelee to help me out. We went over to them and tried to talk them through it and see what the problem was. They both said that they think it was the other’s fault that we keep losing. So Parm and I reminded them that it is no one’s fault and that the same way that we win as a team, we also lose as a team so there should be no blaming anyone one person for our recent struggles. I told them that we shouldn’t worry about what has happened in the past and to focus on getting ready for the games ahead of us so we can close out the season with wins and hopefully make the playoffs. Soon after they calmed down and the situation was resolved and coach thanked me and Parm for our help. I also thanked Parm for helping me when I asked him.
