Okay I wanted to be funny and all that with my reply, but I can't help but he sincere. I can't really say anything about you as a person or a sim league GM that hasn't already been said, Slate. So, what I will choose to do instead is simply say that you for everything you've done.
Lucid will be a fantastic person to take over for you, and I couldn't be prouder to see him get his shot.

Slate, I know Ive been around literally for a minute...but from what I can tell you've definitely left your mark on this franchise three times over. I still remember the day you guys took me in the first round like it was yesterday (prolly because it was like yesterday) that single moment alone got me hyped up to kick a$$ for the Royals. Lucid is a perfect selection as your successor. I know I can count on Lucid when insomnia kicks in and I cant sleep. Been a few late nights already just shooting the sh!t. Next season, we are going to take that Ultimini, in your honor my friend!

After abh and I had GM'd for a couple of seasons, I was starting to get a little worried that we wouldn't have two people that we could promote internally to GM as most of our war room members had already taken on other leadership roles in the league. Almost simultaneously, we had the idea of asking you to GM as you checked all of the boxes you could possibly want in a DSFL GM. @slate, you are always around to help new users, you're incredibly knowledgeable about the sim (and most other things), and you are constantly looking for ways to improve the league as a whole. You did a fantastic job building the team with katarn and leading them to an Ultimini, and I look forward to seeing what you do next. @Luciddreams702, you have big shoes to fill, but you have already made some big improvements to the league so I'm sure you are up to the task!
