RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - captjanko - 07-26-2021 Prior to fully dedicating his life to football, Morpheus was a two sport athlete at Rancho Cucamonga High School competing in both football and soccer. A fan of his local San Jose Earthquakes, Morpheus hoped to be the next Wondolowski, basing his game off charging through defenders with agility and vision. Morpheus created a reputation for staying late after practice, rehearsing curling goals outside of the box and sweating profusely as Morpheus created complex cone drills to develop quick feet. By his sophomore year, Morpheus was known for his ability to beat any man in the midfield. A moment of glory, Morpheus received a call-up to the United States Youth National Team. However, during a series of international friendlies, Morpheus received multiple yellows in critical moments for pushing defenders off him too hard in the box. These cards voided opportunities for teammates and caused frustrations he wished to never repeat again. Realizing that more than scoring goals, Morpheus enjoyed being physical. By playing on the Defensive Line in football, pushing off players wasn't just encouraged, it was required. Soon after, Morpheus decided to fully focus on football, finding incredible joy in jumping off the line to squeeze past Offensive Linemen. He still watches soccer in his free time but wouldn't change his decision if given the opportunity. (Word Count 217) RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - WildfireMicro - 07-26-2021 Tsuyu Asui had an interesting history that lead to her joining the ISFL. She decided to move to America and attend college at the University of Kentucky once she graduated UA so she can see how American schools are. While she was there she discovered American football and fell in love with the game. She decided to take a wild leap and attempt to be a player and would play for Kentucky and eventually become a star wide receiver there. It would snowball from there and she is still doing it today in Philadelphia. But what if she did not move to America and discovered her love of football? I think if she didn't she would easily become more involved with her hero work and become a professional hero rather then the freelancer and kind of vigilante she is now. I also believe she would open a restaurant in Tokyo due to the fact that cooking is her second love. She would probably not have as many bruises ether but you never know with hero work. She would also probably be way more close to all her friends since they would not have to take a plane trip just to see her. But then again she would not have met all her friends in America. RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - pauadrian - 07-26-2021 Well, to be completely honest this is an easy task to complete due to me writing tons of background about Tay Swizzle before. Not only is she a skilled singer and dancer, performer all round to be honest. She is a performer first and foremost, the reason to which she got into football is unknown until this day. Many fans of hers speculate that it could be due to her passion for the sport and making enough money to not need to sing and dance for a living anymore, but that has been proven to not be the case as she still writes hit songs each and every season. Some speculate that her ex boyfriend Tom Teboat, the TE for Norfolk Seawolves in DSFL and Arizona Outlaws in ISFL got her into this place and it would be a reasonable assumption had she not continued her career. Maybe she's just really vengeful who knows! Anyways, had she not been introduced to the ISFL she would just be performing for her fans every week anyways. Performing her hit songs in front of thousands, no tens and hundreds of thousands of her fans. Despite the haters saying this is just a publicity stunt, she has proven herself to be one of the best WRs in DSFL Code: 214 words RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - MattBake12 - 07-26-2021 ![]() Pizzaman always keeps the change! RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - SchwarzNarr - 07-26-2021 Melvin often thinks back to how different his life would have been if he hadn't murdered his dear friend all these seasons ago. Daria only ever wanted to be a kicker. If he hadn't murdered her, then the odds are that while she would have been picked up by a team in the S24 draft, she would have been traded to one of the expansion teams, most likely New York, to have been their young kicker for many, many seasons. Would they still have won an Ultimus if she was kicking, compared to Dougie Smalls? Nobody knows for sure, but she would have an entirely different group of friends. Would Adelie de Pengu have asked to be protected in the expansion draft? Would he have gone with Daria to New York? Would Bjorn have gone there with Lady Tesla Ironside as well? There are quite a few pieces that would be different on Colorado if it were not for the death of Daria Guava-Fresca and the strength of Melvin Murder-Moose to be a linebacker, instead of being a kicker. Would New York still have traded for Keʻokeʻo Kāne-Maikaʻi and Colt Mendoza? How would their drafts have changed if they had different voices in the war room? GM changes? There are a lot of pieces that could have been different, if Daria hadn't been murdered. But she was, and Yeti is life. RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - ValorX77 - 07-26-2021 Videl first discovered the sport when the international simulation football league flirted with the idea of expanding the league to international waters for the first time since the addition of the Yellowknife Wraiths in the league’s inception. It all began when the Austin Copperheads took on the Honolulu Hahalua in an exhibition game in Tokyo. This occurred in S22 when the hahalua first joined the league. But what if that game never occurred? Would the international simulation football league ever consider expanding to international waters? For one thing, Videl would never join the league’s farm system, and would never be a star for the Portland Pythons, instead in this alternate timeline, the pro baseball experience beats the international simulation football league to the international punch, resulting in young Japanese players to idolize the sport of baseball instead of football. She would’ve also owned a secret society dojo where she would teach the young ones her ways of peace, self defense, and always being prepared when the time for war comes. Videl has been the embodiment of Phoenix, and her philosophy in her fighting, shows that you have to show patience in the playing field and that you should be prepared for anything. That includes playoff futility and mental health. (209 words) RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - Patey - 07-26-2021 Written option: Life is made up of choices. What choice did your player make that led them to the ISFL? What would their life be like if they never pursued a career in football? What would they be doing for a living? When Patey first joined the family retail business, he had never played football or really any sport as a teenager. Although he had a great build to be a successful athlete, he was destined to be the successor of the family grocery store business even though his high school coaches were trying to recruit him for most sports. Living on the island, there really wasn't many successful athletes that made it off the island. When Patey graduated high school, he had to make the decision of working full time at the family business or moving away to UoT, which he ended up deciding to pursue. Once he got to the 'big city' he decided to pursue a life he never really had living back home on the island. He joined lots of different clubs and sports, and one of those was football. Patey knew none of the rules but was eager and determined to learn no matter what since his coaches had stated he was naturally gifted from the tryout he had with the team. Once working his way onto the team, he quickly developed into one of the best receivers on the team. During the beginning of each summer throughout his 4 year degree, he spent time back on the island training while working at the family business until training camp started back up in August. As a Canadian kid, once Patey had graduated, he had entered himself into the CFL draft, projected as a late round pick from a not so prestigious football school. When the draft had concluded, Patey's name was not called by any of the teams, which caused him to make the biggest decision of his life, enter the ISFL on waivers or the family business. Once discussing it with his family, they figured this was still as amazing opportunity for the young man to make a name for himself moving forward. Although the family business may suffer, Patey's football career may not even be a long one as most waivered players are. Would you rather pursue your dreams? Or work at family run grocery store stocking shelves, placing orders, deal with customers etc..? This was an easy decision for Patey, who would not miss out on taking the chance of a lifetime by joining one of the most prestigious leagues in the world, the ISFL. (391 words) RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - Ephenssta - 07-26-2021 Redbeard, as the name would suggest, has always been proud of the massive beard that hangs down near his sternum now. Redbeard, sometime in college, realized that he had an important decision to make. He was obviously playing college ball, but on the side he was competing in, and winning, beard styling contests. On bad days at practice, he sometimes wonders what life would look like if he’d gone with beard styling instead of football. Obviously he wouldn’t be as athletic if he’d dropped out of football, but the beard would probably be better looking. He’d spend his time traveling around the country and the world still, but it would be with a bag full of hair gel instead of football pads and gloves. The contests would be artistic instead of athletic. Redbeard likes to imagine the crazy things he could do with his beard had he gone that route. Perhaps he could style it into a tree. Or maybe a majestic creature like a bear. Or a pirate ship to really live up to the name. He would probably spend time between contests sipping whiskey with the other contestants and exchanging travel nightmare stories, like that one time Redbeard somehow ended up on the wrong plane and got stranded in Juneau for a week. That was a good time. RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - ztarwarz - 07-26-2021 Darren Pama's most likely path in life, if he had not become a Football Player, was to become either a soccer player or a musician. In high school, where he first started to play sports seriously, he excelled due to his standout physical traits, while also playing Tuba in a band on the side. After his first couple years in high school he got picked up by his high school's football team, so if that never happened it's likely that he'd never have switched up tracks. He was much better at Soccer than he was at playing the Tuba, so he probably would have ended up a soccer player. This would actually have made his life a lot healthier, as he spent a lot of his time in the second half of high school and college bulking up to be a tight end, before having to slim back down. As Pama considers that part of life the absolute worst time he can remember and credits it with making him depressed, it's arguable that he'd be a much healthier, happier person today if he never had become a football player at all. "If nothing else" he comments, "I'd have at least stayed in the same 100 pound bracket my entire life if I never played football." RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - Menace0528 - 07-26-2021 Marlon Brando was bored with the life of acting. He had all he ever wanted, big roles, stardom, fame and all that came with it. He was up on the big screen all day every day, but his true passion? Football. Ever since he tackled hogs as a kid, he knew he loved to tackle. All day and all night he would tackle hogs. He would change up the scripts in movies just to tackle people, even if he was just acting it out. It’s odd how nobody noticed that in every single movie he was in there was some sort of scene where he tackled someone else in a football manner, even if it was completely out of place for the movie. If he had never joined the ISFL? Well, i imagine he’d be making more movies, playing more roles. Mayhaps he’d be so fed up with the life he’d make sure every movie he was in would be football related. Maybe he would write an autobiography, but never bring up the acting at all and instead just talk about his time catching hogs. Whatever the case, it would have been a sad life full of dreams and a lack of tackling. |
