You will need to focus on resigning players and keeping under the salary cap. I think this is going to be the biggest challenge as people come into the last year of their contracts. Seeing what AC Hackett got, it is going to be incredibly hard to pay all of these guys and stay under the cap. You will have to do some crazy maneuvering in order to make this work. I think this could cause huge issues for this team. We will see what happens very shortly.
I will say, I don't think the Hackett situation Wil repeat itself very often. He had extraordinary leverage as the only 200+ TPE player on the market. He hit the market at a time where a 100-150 TPE difference is massive, as opposed to later seasons where the same gap is proportionately less meaningful. And because the league is relatively light on journeyman/mercenary characterizations. People overwhelmingly seem to prefer reupping for the minimum over maximizing earnings.
