The spreads are based on ELO ratings. They are also playing at home against by far the worst team in the league. A good portion of people is picking the Yeti even with the 11 point spread. So I think the spreads are pretty good this way.

The spreads make it more challenging, and thus more fun. You all would be picking Arizona vs. anyone else or anyone vs. Legion but now every match is up for grabs with spreads.

That was exactly the idea behind it. Or even just "home team every time except for Legion" basically. So many times last year it was just home team every time. This makes it challenging.
