How dare he fix his link that inadvertently went to a specific post instead of the thread in general. To the Thunderdome!!

I mean... It linked to a very specific post saying what seems to be a very negative comment about our league, unless you read the whole thing. I doubt it was accidental.

When you click a topic it takes you to the first unread post. Like when I clicked on this topic just now I got this:

http://nsfl.jcink.net/index.php?showtopic=...t=0&#entry95032

Instead of this link if I wanted to link directly to a post, like for updating:

http://nsfl.jcink.net/index.php?showtopic=...indpost&p=95032

So if you click a topic to get the link or just right click Copy Link Address you'll get the unread post address if there is one and you don't manually cut it out. Note the link in your quote follows the nomenclature of the former rather than the latter.

I agree re: that post looking bad out of context which is why I think it's good that he fixed it.

I understand how it could happen, but you have to admit, it looks suspect at best. The fact that he tried to quietly change it certainly doesn't help. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though, he seems like a nice guy.

Are we seriously running around accusing people of being "suspicious" for editing now? Dude, I edit my posts almost constantly because I type too fast and forget words. Why do you people have to make such a big deal out of that sort of thing?

As do I. However, he didn't fix a typing error, he changed what post he linked to, completely changing his post. Slight difference.

HO FIX YOUR SHIT - AdamS - 12-09-2017

Well...since the errors in question began, the HO has changed two members, changed Head Simmer, and expanded their search for other simmers in order to help this WHILE dealing with a good chunk of a team up and declaring that they're leaving (and to repeat: this group includes the person who was causing those same sim issues).

Sounds like they're actually trying to get their shit together. And they've actually owned their mistakes publicly rather than..well...this thread.

Sometimes I link the wrong thing by accident. Sometimes I don't like the original gif I posted and use a better one. Things like that happen.

Just yesterday I was trying to tell someone about the Detroit soccer team and I got the stadium wrong when I first sent the message so I went back and fixed it. It's not that weird.

Yep. In a later post I even said that I would give him the benefit of the doubt. I had moved on.
