I think Sam Penner and Ryan Applehort are fine gentlemen and we had a chance to talk a bit before the DSFL draft. Them boys seem nice with their flashy suits and gold watches, but I think when it comes down to it I'll shoot them boys out in a gun fight anyway and any day. Now I'm not the brightest penny there is and I don't have all their media attention, but I'll be darned if they say I don't work the hardest. That Boucher seems alright too, but seems like he's in his head a lot. I feel like I'm cookin' on the front burner these days and most excited about playing for the Pythons. It's a respectable organization and they got a winning history for the past 2 seasons. I'd be lyin' if I said I wasn't as nervous as a fly in the glue pot. This is my first big shot in for a chance at the big leagues and I intend to take it all the way. My top 3 favorite NSFL quarterbacks are, in no order since I don't play favorites, King Bronko, Mike Boss, and Avon Blocksdale. My all time favorite is the King of course. I looked up to the King when I was playing for the Longhorns and I hope one day I get to meet him. He's a 3 time Ultimus champion and is still playing a heck of a game today. *Cole McCoy Post Draft Presser - TrueTexican - 02-15-2018 (02-14-2018, 02:22 AM)CDub2 Wrote:It's pretty much just you and Gore on offense. What are your expectations for the Pythons offense? I think we're going to take it slow as molasses to start. Gore's got the speed that we can rely on, but I'm not quite there yet so coaches got me workin' with Jameis on my mechanics. It's coming along and I'm livin' in the training facility these days since I spend so much time there anyways and I can't afford a downtown apartment yet. We'll wait and see for the now. *Cole McCoy Post Draft Presser - TrueTexican - 02-15-2018 (02-14-2018, 12:01 PM)Roly Wrote:Also rumours that you didn't want to play in San Antonio this season, being from Texas. Can you go into more depth on your reason to want to get out of the Lone Star state? I spoke about it in my first media blog, post, internet thing or whatever you call it. I needed to get away from the Texas heat in more ways than you can shake a stick at! I let my state down and I just needed some time away to clear my head. Maybe one day I'll return to play for the Marshals. We'll have to wait and see how things go in Portland. These boys don't even have sweet tea! How's a red blooded Murican supposed to live without sweet tea?!? I haven't spoken much to any other rookie since I left for Portland. The old timers have been making me feel really welcome and working with me whenever they get a chance. I spent the most time with Gore since he's staying here in Portland for another season, but I spoke with Aaron and McPoyal for a couple meetings and they helped me get to speed on the new offense with some of the new guys that were signed. It's a crying shame I won't be able to play with them boys this season. *Cole McCoy Post Draft Presser - TrueTexican - 02-15-2018 (02-14-2018, 12:08 PM)AzhekAhriman Wrote:There were 4 QBs drafted in the S7 DSFL draft. What unique skills do you bring to the table and how do you plan to differentiate yourself among so many competitors? I think my God given talent and arm is gonna 'differentiate' myself from some of the other quarterbacks. I've been workin' hard in the gym every day leading up to the draft and been livin' in the Pythons training facility since I spent most of my time there training anyways or in meetings with coaches. I'm gonna work harder than all the other quarterbacks you mark my words sir! The DSFL's never seen a quarterback like me before! *Cole McCoy Post Draft Presser - TrueTexican - 02-15-2018 (02-15-2018, 12:16 AM)AdamS Wrote:oh this is gonna be a fun character Hello Mr. Law sir! I'm mighty glad you stopped by my press conference! Would you mind if I swung by the Outlaws training camp? I'd be happy as a boardinghouse pup if I could meet the King. He's my favorite NSFL quarterback this season. |
