(S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - bovovovo - 02-17-2018 Borkus Maximus III once ate a delicious ham and cheese omelette which, while absolutely fantastic, gave him a disturbing case of the runs. He theorizes that perhaps something in the omelette was under cooked and unfortunately disagreed with him in a drastic way. To make matters worse, this omelette was consumed the day of a college football game. Nonetheless, Borkus pulled through and played the entire game despite his condition. Indeed, he unfortunately found himself to the be at the butt of several jokes when his teammates noticed a certain stain forming on the back of his pants. This was a sticky situation to be sure. But luckily, Borkus himself had the last laugh when he pulled through and his team won the game thanks to a last second 30 yard touchdown throw that Borkus made. There was this other time that Borkus Maximus III got arrested in a drug bust but that's another story. As a star athlete you're bound to get into a situation that may cause some issues, whether it's an encounter with the law, an ex, or just a crisis with food at a party. Write about any sort of situation that falls under this umbrella. So Turkleton is often seen as quite the good guy. Many people dont know that he has a slight dark side to him. Maybe moons ago, Turkleton really wanted to watch the lastest craze in animated movies. The hot new movie Kimi No Na Wa had just come out, but it had not been officially released on the internet yet. Hungry to suffice his hunger for anime movies, turkleton made a decision. He were to illegally download the film. Little young Turkleton headed to a shady torrent site and started downloading. About 20% into the download, there is a stern knock on the door. FBI OPEN UP. Father Turkleton opens the door and suddenly a swat team of 8 officers charge into the house, up the stairs straight into Turks room. The door was busted open and the officers came into his room. Guns aimed, the squad leader yelled, stop the download and get on the floor. Turkleton obliged cancelling his torrent and laid on the floor. 'Never ever think about downloading anime illegally you fucking scum', yelled the squad leader. The officers left the house and young Turkleton was startled for life. Never again would he illegally download the animes. My professors, advisors, and coaches all knew that, as a student-athlete, I would be able to get a postponed (or early) exam if I had a game at the same time. I lost this privilege after going pro, and that has gotten me into one or two sticky situations. The first was when my midterm in Weaving at Extreme Depths came at the same time as the first game of the DSFL preseason. Instead of having the time to practice for the game, I had to convince my professor to allow me to take the exam the night prior. I had to fly all the way back to Piscataway that morning, take the exam (which I barely passed), and then fly back to Kansas City. I arrived at the stadium with about 30 minutes until game time, and all the stress led to me missing two field goals from 40+. This semester I made sure that my professors knew ahead of time that I was in the pros, and there shouldn't be any issues! 192 words (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - HENDRIX - 02-17-2018 In the offseason the WWE came to Baltimore and a bunch of Hawks went to see the show. They pulled some strings and it was no surprise they all got ring side tickets. Throughout the event the camera focused on the group quite often which further amped up the crowd. In the main event Brock Lesnar was slated to wrestle Roman Reigns, however, Reigns sustained a knee injury prior to the match in a brutal run in with the Undertaker backstage, so who was Lesnar going to face? After Lesnar walked down the ramp and got the mic he called for a volunteer from the crowd to challenge him. The Hawks athletic 300 pound DE Kurt Hendrix stood up calmly from his seat and raised his hand. The camera focused on him and the crowd went nuts. Kurt then jumped the barrier, ran into the ring and speared Lesnar. He quickly recovered and ended up power bombing Hendrix through the announcer table. Even though this was all planned from the start, it turns out this little stunt voided several clauses in Hendrix's contract. Wrestling is dangerous, and many pro football players are prohibited from doing certain activities. Maybe next time Kurt will think twice. Never did I imagine that doing what seemed like a good deed would land me in hot water, however. Back when I was playing at the University of Virginia I would take an occasional weekend trip up to Washington D.C. If you haven't been before, there are quite a lot of people who could use a hand there. Not one to ignore someone in need, I stumbled across one man who said he hadn't had a meal in days. I told him to come with me and headed for a McDonald's a couple of blocks down. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but a couple of police officers started trailing us and followed us there. I guess I should've figured something was up because the guy I was trying to help started getting real fidgety. Before I got to the front of the line to order the police had tackled him to the ground. I wasn't sure what was happening but from my point of view the cops were being pretty rough with a man who's only crime was going into a fast food restaurant. I tried to come to his aid but, as it turned out, he was an escaped convict and from the cops' point of view it seemed as if I was aiding and abetting. I spent the next few hours at the station explaining myself and how I ended up with this man and why I tried to help him. In the end they recognized it was just a misunderstanding, but man did they make me sweat. (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - tbone415 - 02-17-2018 Back in Terrell Brister’s time with the Tijuana Luchadores him and his teammates had some, well how should I put it? Fun. This was no different after the Luchadores won in Kansas City to secure a playoff spot after an 0-5 start to the year. As soon as they got back (around 7:00) instead of heading back to their hotels the Luchadore players headed out to the nightclub. Of course this was in Tijuana so there was plenty of drinks, dancing and women. Dean Jackson (@run_CMC), our kicker seemed to enjoy that last part, as the last time I saw him that night he was heading out with two girls and he looked back at me and winked. I also remember seeing Ryan Sierra (@Battleborn) downing drinks with some of the ladies and he looked to be having a great time. However this was one of the last things that I remember as I just woke up in the slammer with no recollection of why I was there, or what I did. I did however have quite a lot of pain on my right eye. I had to have the cops explain what happened to me, apparently some dude was being a total ass and harassing everyone. Begging the bartender for free drinks, being a little too close for comfort with some of the women and he came up to me and spilled a drink on me. A fight ensued and I whipped his ass. You know, because I am a pro football player and he’s just some bum. 260 words (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - CDub2 - 02-17-2018 Well, it's actually the polar opposite for Cameron Taylor. There's not many sticky situations for Taylor. So often he just goes under the radar. Chills at home, saves his money, workouts out late at night. He's never really in the spotlight. One sticky situation happened last season in Yellowknife. It wasn't because Taylor was up to no good, but because the stadium security had just hired new staff. Because Taylor is fairly unknown, the security guards weren't letting him in for his workouts in the morning. They insisted that Taylor was an unwanted trespasser and threw him out of the stadium. It took a call to the GMs office for the security guard to finally believe Taylor was a player for the Wraiths. The sad thing is, it hasn't just happened once. Each new security guard fails to recognize the Wraiths starting safety. Maybe it's time Taylor makes a headline or two. 153 Words (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - mmfootball - 02-17-2018 It was just a normal day for Michael Tillman in beautiful Colorado until he went to the club where fellow Yeti Nicholas Pierno frequents as seen on his Twitter profile. Tillman expected to be treated as highly as his co-worker but did not quite get the same reception when walking in. His first mistake was asking for a free drink as the bartender eyeballed him and asked who he is exactly. Taken aback, Tillman started to curse out the bartender, who soon called security. At first, Tillman was apprehensive about fighting back, but then realizing that the guards were treating Colorado royalty like that he began to struggle. To much avail, he was thrown out of the club quite literally and had called Pierno to ask what was up with that. Pierno informed him that he had visited the wrong club and should get out of the area right now as Pierno also had trouble there due to the club owners having a loyal allegiance to their hometown Liberty. 169 words (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - Zoone16 - 02-17-2018 Code: 173 words (S6) - Weekend PT 1 - Sticky Situations - RedCydranth - 02-18-2018 Marc Spector is no stranger to danger. He lives for it. It's part of his lifestyle. You don't explore the unexplored corners of the world if you don't have a penchant for the precocious. Marc frequents jungle ruins, deserted forts, deep caverns and mountainous peaks any time he's not training for football. One particular instance he was in Cambodia, exploring a long uninhabited Funan cultural site. He had strayed away from his team, because he heard a strange sound. He thought it sounded kind o like several ticking clocks, but it turned out to be a huge nest of spiders. This was not as startling of a site as you might imagine. Marc knows his Arachnology well enough that this certain breed of tarantula is an abundance, and even a delicacy to the Cambodian people. But when this nest of spiders accidentally fell and covered Marc with literally thousands of young, freshly hatched spiders, even with his savvy, he folded under the pressure and screamed like a 7 year old watching IT. He ran as fast as he could, peeling batches of spiders from his hair and face, throwing them all over. His crew scrambled and witnessed Marc covered head to toe with spiders. Luckily, the young hatchlings' fangs were either too soft or too short to penetrate his skin. Had this been some highly venomous species, Marc would have been dead. (232 words) |
