(S7) - Weekend PT 5 - Lemonade Stand - Raven - 05-12-2018 Quote:Written: Must Include 150 Words. At one point in your life your parents tell you to get a job, whether it's a lemonade stand, cutting grass, or at a place of business, everyone has some sort of starter story that got their foot in the door. Write about the first job you held, no matter how old you were when it happened, this could be anything that earns you money. So back in the day Turk Turkleton was somewhat of a match maker. People would come to him and pay him money to find them their perfect match. His clients would fill out a document which included things they liked, hobbies and other interests and then Turk would go out and find their ideal match. Turk Turkleton has a lot of knowledge on anime. Some might even call him an anime connoisseur He knows all the waifus and thus was perfect for this job. He could spot the perfect waifu for someone and match them. Turkleton held a track record of how well he did in matching and has an almost perfect record of 99%. He has had one client in his life which was unhappy with the match, but that just happens sometimes. This was all before Turk settled himself on a career as football player though. Although there have been a few people in the league who have asked advice from Turkleton and the matches made were perfect. Turk Turkleton, Professional Kicker, Enthusiastic Amateur Waifu Match Maker. Radio stations must "prove" to their ad-buyers that ads played at certain times and completely, but sometimes outsource the effort for these recordings and indexing. It's a low-wage, low-effort job that radio stations contract out, and Crindy's father helped make the connections necessary. Young Balthazar one night was nodding to sleep when his finger slipped. The radio station was an unusual one, and he was still recording. Instead of music, a distant female voice was monotonously repeating number sequences in Spanish. He copied down the numbers, and the next day asked his high school Spanish teacher about them, who couldn't make any sense of them. Then he asked his math teacher, a Cuban immigrant and a beloved teacher and mentor to many at the school, if he had any idea what it could be. The teacher, Mr Castor, quickly dismissed Crindy's notes and appeared quite uninterested. Eventually, however, his parents insisted that he “build character,” so Fitzpatrick hit the job market. He got a job delivering newspapers in his subdivision, a job he still credits to helping build up his throwing arm, ability to throw on the run, and general athleticism. Unfortunately, aiming at an entire driveway wasn’t exactly much of a challenge, so he started aiming at other things. At first he went for the garage doors at the end of the driveways, which was fun for the soft bang it made, but that was tiring. So then he started aiming at the cars in the driveways, trying to get them to land on the hood or, when that got boring, sleeping cats. Because cats are assholes. At the earliest of ages he was used for small tasks, like collecting the eggs from the henhouse in the morning. Although once he started growing, which he did very quickly, he was able to start handling a lot more of the physically demanding work that farm life brings. Angus credits the physicality of farm work that he did every day along with the copious amounts of food and milk his grandmother kept him fed with that built him into the athlete that he is today. Eventually when he was old enough he was able to do some of the more difficult tasks that didn't require his body as much, like driving the tractor. But when it came time to repair the tractor or change the tire, the Winchester menn were all the more grateful for the strength they had cultivated in themselves from such a young age. Now as a grown man and professional football player in the prime of his career, Angus still spends time on his own ranch in northern california where he raises sheep and goats. (S7) - Weekend PT 5 - Lemonade Stand - caltroit_red_flames - 05-12-2018 The first job Chad Pennington had was at a coffee shop in New York. To be honest he wasn't trying very hard to make to much money. All of his free time was spent training for football and studying to get into Syracuse with his brothers. Eventually it turned into less of a job and more of a place for Chad and his buddies to meet up at so they could hang out when he was done working. By the time it came around for college applications to be sent out he had already quit. There wasn't much point in him spending his time dishing out coffee to people when he had interviews to do with coaches, weights to lift and video to watch of his previous games. During the summers in college he'd put in extra hours just to get some extra spending cash for during the school since school year. (S7) - Weekend PT 5 - Lemonade Stand - Dawegg - 05-12-2018 Brad had one of the more interesting jobs a young kid can have in New York City: being a paper boy. Riding along the side streets of New York is a pretty interesting experience. The people around are interesting, the sights, the smells, it's absolutely perfect. It's one of the reasons that Brad would love to play in NYC supposing that a NSFL or DSFL franchise ever sets up shop there. Delivering papers didn't pay that well, but traveling at that age on a bike never got old. Certain people on the route tended to be jerks, others were always gone, and some moved. When Brad gets back home, sometimes he gets recognized and they ask him for an autograph. That's always a nice surprise which helps him remember where he came from. The paper boy who threw out the papers onto the steps for a few dollars a day destined to be an NSFL star. During the summers he would just hang out outside the local AAA minor league baseball stadium in hopes of catching some of the action--maybe even a home run ball. Sometimes his friends would go with him, but most of the time he would be alone. This led him to reach out to others and learn to build relationships. This suited him just fine for several years until the summer of his 8th grade year when he was approached by the stadium manager asking if he would like to be a ball boy for the team. L'Alto could not believe his little freckled ears, he was so excited. He made the most of this opportunity and connected himself with everyone he could. This job ended up leading him to a job as a ball boy for the Detroit Pistons throughout high school where he eventually met a scout for Michigan State Basketball. The rest was history. He would do a variety of jobs while working there, from running the concessions stand, to selling tickets, to working the projector. Overall it was a pretty nice first job. It was a smaller theater, so it wasn't too crowded and there was usually time to catch your breath between activities. Working at the theater had some nice perks. Employees working at the concessions stand got to help themselves to free snacks during their breaks. When you were working the projectors, it meant that you got a chance to see all the new movies for free. It was a pretty nice way to get started with working over the summer, not much stress involved and getting to have some fun and catch up on the summer movies. It didn't really end up connecting to his ultimate career choice in football, but it was still an important milestone for Tweed as it was first real job he had to earn money.
