It's even in my username. I wore it in everything. I respected so many great athletes who used the number. From Jackie Robinson, to Elton Brand, to Kyle Petty, to James Worthy, to Dana Tyrell. 42 is such a great number. However, I don't really think the number 42 suits Kyle very much. I don't really think Kyle embodies the things that Jackie Robinson brought to the sport of baseball. I don't really think that Kyle displays everything that Elton Brand brought to the sport of basketball. Kyle is so so so very different than any of these athletes, and I highly doubt his name will ever be listed next to them. 42 is a number I really just do not forsee my player living up to. So what number should he have worn? I'm not sure. I almost wonder if it would've been better to let nunccoepi assign it for me. Having your team leader pick your number for you is like fate. Your path and legacy is out of your hands. Perhaps that would have been something that better fit Kyle. And lastly, and most importantly, the number doesn't match the graphic. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - JSS - 06-05-2018 The young superstar is already working on this particular change but what if there was no work involved into getting towards this change? Elijah Lagerfield is trying his hardest to get as fast as he can as soon as possible. Lagerfield is already dominating the DFSL with average speed but imagine if he was the fastest in the league? Nothing would stop this stud and he'd be a beast and possibly the best in the league. However, the young running back is already hard at work trying to get his speed to the very best in the league but he's got some time before he can get there and when he does, he's ready to tear the league apart and destroy anything in his way. On top of speed, Elijah would also like to improve his endurance. If he reaches his goal of fastest player in the league, he'll probably get burnt out eventually, because of how much he runs which is why his second change is endurance. With high endurance, Lagerfield will be able to run for days and will never get tired. High endurance combined with high speed is a great mix for tons of success. The best part about this? This can be a reality and soon enough Lagerfield will be the player he hopes to be and destroy the league. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - iseedoug - 06-05-2018 Ben Horne is a power rushing LB, favoring strength over speed. But after understanding the game style of the NSFL (the simmer), I wish I would have been a speed rusher rather than a power rusher. While this is something, I can change now with money, it would have been much less costly and better for my game stats early on. The simmer really favors speed to the player, having this early on (specifically as a pure rookie to the league) would have made a huge difference on my first season stats. A second change, one that I cannot change now, is to have a more balanced attribute focus early on. While i have 80 speed and 80 strength, my agility and endurance are quite low. I think focusing on a balance of these attributes may have boosted my game stats now, although not early on. Specifically I would have better PD stats and likely better stats overall by staying in the game longer. Despite these two changes, I think given some time Ben Horne can have a dominant career and compete with his fellow draft class LBs (Chad in particular) for career stats. And, as the SaberCats rebuild, be a center-peice of a championship defense. Words: 206 (S8) - PT 3 - What if - Molarpistols - 06-05-2018 Gus T.T. Showbiz is fairly happy with his game at the moment. He's shown promising skills as a passer, with his strong arm, accurate throws and football knowledge being high for the DSFL. There are two dependant changes he would like to make. If one change happened, the other wouldn't need to and vice versa. The first change Showbiz would like to see, is adding some speed and agility to further fit the offensive scheme the Kansas City Coyotes currently run. Gus is an effective passer, but struggles to avoid sacks when the opposing defense collapses the pocket or he's asked to run the Spread Offense. The opposing defensive lines are quick, and Gus has worked on his arm so much that he hasn't spent as much time on speed. The other change Gus would like to see if he didn't get speedier, would be to see the Coyotes change their scheme to fit Gus's arm a little better. Gus has a great arm, and a plethora of great offensive weapons to target in a more pass-happy offense. Playing more towards his skills would allow Showbiz to put up the numbers to prove that he'd better than his rookie counterpart, Fitzpatrick, of the San Antonio Marshalls. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - Scootalicious - 06-05-2018 "Pfft, I guess if I had to change something it'd be my pass rushing ability. Like right now I know I'm good at getting through the line and getting through to the runningback or the quarterback, but really I'd change how I do it and some of my stats too. Like I'd probably change my technique to make it more fierce getting into the line and really digging myself into that interior (PHRASING) and I'd change some of my stats up too. Probably increase my speed and strength, and maybe agility to make sure I can actually get to the dude holding the ball and sack him for a loss or even tackle him for a loss if it's the runningback. I'd make sure to change who I am and what my stats represent so I can be a better ball player. I'm sorry I'm just trying to fill the word limit here for my payment. I know I'm speaking random shit right now but I'm definitely gonna be changing myself for the better. That extra TPE is gonna add up at a point and I'm gonna become a Hall of Famer no problem. Beam me up, Scotty." -James Brown, on what he would do if he could change something about him (S8) - PT 3 - What if - TheWoZy - 06-05-2018 ![]() (S8) - PT 3 - What if - caltroit_red_flames - 06-05-2018 If I could change anything about Chad Pennington I would make him faster. In his first season out of college football, which was in the DSFL with Tijuana, he had the most tackles in the league, won defensive player of the year, won defensive rookie of the year, and may have also won rookie of the year (can't remember...). But when it comes to the big leagues in the NSFL with Yellowknife, I'm worried that 80 speed may not be fast enough. Right now I don't have a ton of TPE so it isn't a huge deal. But in the future I am going to have to look at different LB builds. If there aren't any archetypes that have higher speed caps, I may have to look into a different position such as CB. I expect Chad to be an impact player in the league for a long time and it seems like LB only lets you allocate so much TPE to important stats due to caps and positional responsibility. Chad may be better suited to playing in a higher impact position in the future. But that's all a couple hundred TPE down the road. For now, Chad is going to dominate the league as an LB. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - kckolbe - 06-05-2018 With two career games since being drafted, there haven’t been a whole lot of opportunities to spend TPE in a way I’d regret. Obviously, in the DSFL, it was extremely tempting to go mobile, max agility, and just be a nightmare for clumsy defenders to try to sack. It would have been so much fun to do. I wouldn’t even care about scrambling with him for yards. I’d just enjoy watching him dance in behind the line all day like Ethan Hunt used to back in Season Two and Season Three before connecting with a receiver who, based on his dot’s movement, spent half the play taking a nap before waking up and catching the pass. As far as Fitzy’s current build, I guess I worry about putting the extra TPE into strength. It’s only at 54 now, but that’s higher than his speed and his endurance, both of which would help. The idea is that he would be too strong for defensive backs to bring him down, but wouldn’t speed help him put distance between them? Wouldn’t endurance allow him to keep what strength he had? Or, more importantly, wouldn’t endurance ensure that his arm wasn’t jello by the time he finally got around to throwing the damn ball? (S8) - PT 3 - What if - adam2552 - 06-05-2018 ![]() |
