I certainly hoped for that with Liberty fire-sale and Hawks not being as big of a juggernaut as it was told before S8. I still think COL-NOLA Ultimus game will happen one day, even as early as S10 now.

Auto GM pick for Otters here, not much to talk about, other than Showbiz slightly slacking on TPE earnings, being just Top 5. His stats with Coyotes: 242/460, 2384 yards, 13 TDs, 8 INTs.

I would like to point out that I have not slacked on earnings at all. I did slack on updating since it was offseason and I had some GM duties that took precedent. My most recent update as of today brings me to 279 TPE, and with my player being 53 days old, i've averaged just over 5tpe/day.
Nice writeup though! I like seeing people's take on the draft, even if it's a little less Otter-friendly than I expected. Keep the media writeups coming!

No question that the Yeti have improved, but I think they're record of 6-8 was a tad misleading. They finished with a point differential of -98, the 2nd worst in the NSFL, beating only the 1-13 SaberCats. 4 of their 6 wins were by 4 points of less.

Maybe my bias got too visible, but I really didn't like the 8th pick (though I guess it has to be something related to the potential of having first real and active FB in quite some time in NSFL) and didn't check the TPE's other than looking at mentioned at the top leafs4ever article.
Write-up definitely misses some kind of summary, though I don't like pointing at winners/losers already after day 1, so much is still up in the air to get any reasonable conclusion.

I agree their record was quite lucky last season, but they also showed tremendous growth and even if they slow down considerably this season (let's say by a half with some untimely retirements and players going inactive) they might still get a positive run differential and that's almost an entry to contention.
