RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - Skyline - 09-06-2020 Acura Skyline started his (soon to be) illustrious career in the scrappy upstart expansion franchise the London Royals. In London, as a Royal (or Lion? Still unclear), Skyline had a tremendous rookie season where he jumped from relative obscurity to every single pro team’s radar by leading the league in carries, yards, yards per carry, and touchdowns. Despite not making the postseason, Skyline still won offensive player of the year, running back of the year, and offensive rookie of the year, yet was snubbed for most valuable player. Regardless, feeling amazing after a stunning individual season performance, Acura Skyline started to get ready for the big time. His welcome to the league moment occurred on draft night, where despite his unbelievable athletic prowess and on the field performances, Skyline watched name after name after name get called, including a number of other players at his position who were far and away less talented than he was. It was a humbling experience when ultimately, late in the 4th round, Skyline was finally selected by the Yellowknife Wraiths. Ultimately, this was a great spot, as he had the chance to learn behind league best back Mathias Hanyadi and immediately begin contributing to a playoff caliber team, but the snubbers still stoked a fire and anger that he carries with him still. Even after making the pro bowl as a rookie while leading the league in rushing touchdowns, even after winning an ultimus, and even after beginning to find himself as a premier go to goal line threat, Skyline still looks back on the draft and pulls up those same feelings whenever he gets a chance to touch the rock. 277 words. RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - mithrandir - 09-06-2020 Andrew Witten was a shut-down cornerback in the DSFL for the Tijuana Luchadores. In his season in the minors, Witten failed to record an interception, but he locked down his side of the defense, recording 12 pass deflections and giving up very few catches. He even had a game in which he did not allow a single catch. Moving up to the ISFL after only one season of development was difficult for Witten. He went from being an undisputed #1 corner to being the 4th best cornerback and 5th best defensive back on the team. With Deon Taylor and David Rector dominated at the outside cornerback positions and Xavien Adams playing well as the nickel back, Witten was asked to play a position he had never played before: strong safety. He was even overshadowed in the safety pair by safety of the year Mason Blaylock at free safety. Witten ended his first season without a single interception and only three pass deflections, though he did have some success rushing the quarterback, recording five sacks in his rookie season. His second season was also spent at the strong safety position, and Witten continued to develop and improved statistically in every area, including recording his first interception. Finally, this season, with Taylor retired and Adams gone in free agency, Witten has come into his own, and is a favorite to receive a Pro Bowl bid at cornerback. RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - KamiCommie - 09-06-2020 PBE PT RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - furiousPanda - 09-06-2020 Haha Mango-Panda’s trial by fire started early into his professional career. At first, it was his prospect game with the New York Poodles. His first game as a quarterback was a disaster, and kept throwing a lot of interceptions throughout the short prospect season. It was time to look inward to see if something needed to change. The quarterback position was a lot for Haha to handle but some things had to change. So after being drafted for Dallas Birddogs, he switched to the other side of the ball as a linebacker. This is a huge change for Haha, and requires a ton of different skills. The nerves were running high on his first game, so the first game as a linebacker was a true test of his potential as a linebacker. Even tho, the Birddogs did not win the game, Haha did lead the Birddogs in tackles. He whipped up 12 tackles his first game which is a prelude to what is to come. Moving forward it can be seen as a successful move. The Sarasota Sailfish have a great defense and one of the contributing factors is Haha. He leads the team in sacks and tackles and is in competition for defensive player of the year. Code: 208 words RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - TheDude83 - 09-06-2020 Moe Skeeter’s time in the league has been non-existent. Moe having just been picked up on waivers, the journey remains far ahead for him. Moe didn’t attend any college and barely made it past the seventh grade. After failing out of middle school, Moe decided to work on the farm full-time and play for the local semi-pro football team. His size and sheer determination to get after anyone who held a football made him a formidable defensive end. In the game to seal his team’s semi-pro division title with the Mordor Mudrats, Moe put all three of the quarterbacks for the opposing Calla Coyotes out of the game and forced their punter to go under center. Such a dominating performance all but forced Moe’s hand to follow his dream of playing in bigger football games. At the urging of his family and teammates, Moe decided to take his talents out of Selma, Alabama, and off the family farm, to be a part of the DSFL. Mr. Skeeter was fortunate enough to get picked up off waivers by the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Being called up to the DSFL is a massive opportunity for Moe to show what he’s got and work to improve his skills to fill whatever role he needs to with his new team. How did the change in competition between college and the league, or between the DSFL and ISFL, initially challenge your player? Did they suffer a drop in stats or an ugly debut game? How did they rebound from it? when lavelle jr was drafted to the austin copperheads, he got hazed. I know what you are saying, surely pro sports teams dont and shouldnt do hazing, especially in the isfl but thats not true. they hazed me good, firstly one of the members of the coaching staff actually started fucking my wife, they got me good with that one, ill tell you now. secondly i later found out months later that most of the team was actually sleeping with her, guys from the team and people in the conditioning staff, they got me so good there lmao! At the end of my rookie season I actually found out that not only were my teammates sleeping with her, all my coaches and staff but even some fans got in on the action too, talk about your welcome to the league moment! am i right guys After my first game lavelle jr was p bad and on one of the plays a big bruising hunking sensual offensive linemen hip checked me to the floor because we called the illegal cb blitz move, talk about my 2nd ever momentous welcome to the league moment, sorry kiddo thats what u get for illegal moves and cheating in the sim RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - SDCore - 09-06-2020 Rod "Kwan" "Greatness" Tidwell has had a pretty storied career. He started out a young lad trying to get ahead in the world. A young Arizonian man destined to be one of the greatest to ever catch a football. Rod Tidwell was drafted in the Developmental Football Simulation League by the Tijuana Lunchadores. He had mild success there winning one cup and getting a WRoTY. He went on to be drafted to the newly formed, at that time, the expansion team the Austin Copperheads. Upon arriving in Austin, Rod Tidwell got a real shock to his system. His "welcome to the league" moment happened in his first season. Austin was not a very good team early in his career, so when he first laced up the sneaks for them, he got pounded. They lost one game after another. Rod Tidwell was not used to losing, so this was a real come to Jesus moment. He needs to win, to earn the respect, to get the Kwan. So what did Rod Tidwell do? He went out there and took it. By the end of his long storied career, he has been a constant Pro Bowler, been to two Title games, winning one, and received a Wide Receiver of the Year award.
