We're now halfway through the season and some players are already standing out tall in the index with some flashy stats. Share your early predictions for who you think might get an award this season and why, or talk about who you think deserves an award even though the stats might not be there to fully justify it yet.

As far as awards go, I think there are several players in the league that have already proven themselves as candidates for prestigious DSFL awards. One that seems pretty easy to me so far is Remus Roman winning Offensive Rookie of the Year. He currently leads the league in yards per carry, and after his absolutely insane game (Week 10 I believe) where he broke the record for most yards in a DSFL game with 269 yards on SIX CARRIES I don't think it would be out of the question that he wins the award. As for Defensive Rookie of the year, my bet is on Xavier Walls. He has proven he is a valuable asset on the field, but I think it's what he is doing off the field that is truly providing for his team. He became Defensive Captain in his true rookie season and has shown significant dedication to his team in his limited time in the league. As for Defensive Player of the Year, my bet is Buck Nekkid. He has an outrageous number of interceptions as well as pass break ups on the year that have truly made an impact on games. Multiple times has he scored a TD off a pick six that ultimately led to the Tijuana Luchadores taking home the victory. For Offensive Player of the Year, I think I am going with an underdog who truly deserves it. Stumpy Jones, Offensive Line for the Pythons is having an absolutely unbelievable season with 47 pancakes. An absolutely dominant display that takes out a player in every situation he is in. For Most Valuable Player, I think Lebron James III is the best bet. He leads the dominant Pythons team and has so far proven he is absolutely deserving of the award for this season.

I feel like I write this every point task, but with the transition to the new sim engine, there have been quite the number of changes. One major change we have seen is the change in stats by position. The position I would like to focus on in this point task is the secondary, specifically cornerback. Cornerbacks are getting all types of stats in the new sim; more tackles, sacks, but perhaps most importantly is more passes defended. For reference, last season's leader in passes defended was New Orleans' David Rector with 32 through 16 games. This season, through just 11 games, Arizona's Desmond Scarlett is leading with 30. He is on pace to smash the ISFL passes defended record which is 34. GIVE THIS MAN AN AWARD!

Seriously though, I'm not sure if it is just a product of the new sim or a freak performance but Desmond deserves it. The Outlaws have the best record in the ISFL at 9-2. They have a fantastic offense and defense all around. But Scarlett stands out for sure. In addition to his passes defended, he also has 2 interceptions and a forced fumble. We will see how the rest of the season plays out but after 2/3rds of a season, Scarlett has an impressive resume for Cornerback of the Year, maybe even Defensive Player of the Year.

I'm not a hundred percent sure who will end up winning awards at the end of the year but I can tell you one thing I know who is not going to win any awards when it comes to this glorious season 27 dsfl season and that is none other than my player Fergus Callaghan Jr.  I don't know what happened to him this year I assume that's when I would get capped that's my guy would end up playing pretty well but it turns out it's the complete opposite he's turned into my PVE player as soon as he got to the cap he turns into one of the biggest scrubs I have ever seen and you know what TLC said about scrubs they ain't going to get no love from me so am I being hard on my player right now absolutely does he deserve it absolutely I have a feeling that if my guy was getting more tackles for losses and  some sacks for the love of God he might actually help the Royals win a few more games this year instead of having them be two games under 500  and I feel that my players  that's are completely affecting the team's ability to win by not making the defense as good as it was the previous season.

This list is exclusively for the DSFL league, as I don’t know has much about all the ISFL players

The ‘I throw the ball solid for a backup Quarterback’ Award – Jacob Raske

I feel having a backup Quarterback in the DSFL is not too common of a thing, so when you get your opportunity to play, you have got to make the most of it. Jacob Raske has seemingly done just that with a high completion percentage, QB rating, and a positive TD to INT score. Seemingly good things to come for the Duckling.

The ‘I Yeet when my feet in the cleets’ Award – Remus Roman

If the best running back was based on their best game of the season, Remus Roman would win hands down. 6 carries for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns against Kansas City ain’t nothing to sneeze at.

The ‘Oh hey I forgot that guy was here before’ Award – Gritt Gurdur

I’m inserting myself for this award as my career in the DSFL so far has been sprinkled with amazing clutch and big play moments in a universe of irrelevant play making. Having 10 total tackles on the season, Gurdur has 4 TFL’s and a sack fumble. All I can say is when I make a play, I do it all the way.
