As S22 begins, McCabe finds himself in familiar surroundings, having been sent down to the DSFL for a further year of development. But the big guy is more than happy to be spending the season in Portland, where the primary goal for him and his team is to take home the Ultimini. Despite numerous pundits doubting their chances, the S21 Pythons managed to rally themselves into the playoffs, before a crushing collapse against the conference leading Coyotes. With the high level of continuity on offense, there's no doubt that the team's goal is to finish what they started last year. McCabe shares that as his primary motivation and relishes the chance for a second tilt at the championship before being called up.

On a more personal level McCabe, who spent his rookie season as a bit player on the Pythons' interior offensive line, hopes to break out as one of the DSFL's premier linesman. With the departure of standout OL prospect Byron Dolls, and the accompanying reshuffle, McCabe has been placed at right tackle, a step up in both responsibilities and chances for glory. Improving his season totals for pancakes (30) and sacks allowed (3) are goals that are certainly within reach, whilst reducing his previous season total for penalties (2) will prove more difficult it's also on the agenda. McCabe see his sophomore season as a chance to start filling out his resume with end-of-season awards. Whilst the rookie managed to earn a Pro-Bowl position in S21, there were certainly those that questioned the selection. For what it's worth McCabe is the first to admit that fellow Python, Tommy Sacamano, was more deserving of the nod. But this time around, the big guy hopes to earn his spot in the Pro-Bowl and silence his critics. Overall, McCabe has come a long way from the undersized and technically deficient player that entered the league a season ago. With one year of experience, he hopes to hoist the Ultimini and make his mark on the DSFL before leaving for his call up in S23.

This is Donut’s contact season and he needs to have a big year if he wants to secure a bag next year. Luckily he has one of the best quarterbacks in the league throwing to him, Jay Cue, and is in a good position as his team isn’t in a position to contend for an Ultimus. That being said one of Donut’s main goals is to win the wide receiver of the year award. Almost all of the hall of fame wide receivers have been the wide receiver of the year at some point and winning the award will bolster Donut’s hall of fame resume. Other than awards, I have a couple of statistical goals that will also improve my chance of making it into the hall of fame. First off, I need to have at least 10 touchdowns this season. This is because at the pace I'm going I should be on the top 10 career touchdowns and getting 10 touchdowns will help that goal a lot. Finally, my last goal is to break the 1000 yard mark. Last season I barely missed out on it and breaking it this season would prove that I am one of the top receivers. Although I doubt that all these goals will come true I will remain hopeful until proven otherwise.

This is Hingle McCringleberry's first season for the Dallas Birddogs in the DSFL, even though he had a stint in Myrtle Beach and won a Ultimini with the Buccaneers! Looks to do better than in that little time in Myrtle Beach and he knows he has a long road ahead of him. So, this year McCringleberry would like to do whatever is in his power to help the Dallas Birddogs succeed. Of course, he would love to be one of the main reasons they do, which in turn means he had a great season! Since it is the first season, everything this season is a career best, but only wants it to be a stepping stone to greater success. If Hingle could claim a league record in the rookie season that would be amazing, he has a lot of great teammates that are going to do great so he will have some competition. Would like to receive an award, because he has a buddy in the SHL who got the award for Most Underrated Player, so he would love to top that. I believe with the help of McCringleberry and the rest of the Birddogs, they will make the playoffs and get out of the first round. There is still a ton of foosball to play so anything is possible! Hingle will also be looking to the horizon on what options come up for next season where he will be select by a NSFL team, but right now the focus is on improving Dallas and becoming close with his teammates.

Lucas Knight has changed jersey colors and now plays for Sarasota, a situation which comes with a new set of goals for season 22. Many of these are related to statistics, the most important one for him being to get his first interception as a Sailfish, better if it is a pick six; hopefully this occurs in one of the home games to make his presence, as well as effort, known to the fans and his teammates.

Also, it's been awhile since the last Pro Bowl nomination and looking to be among the top defensive performances of the league is always something that Knight has in mind; taking into account that he’s part of an expansion team, bringing his experience for the defense it's a priority for both his recognition and to help Sarasota get a good performance, since the team is young at the moment in many positions. In addition to the pursuit of a Pro Bowl, Knight’s still trying to win the defensive player of the year award for the first time in his career; nothing would make him happier than to do it this year as a member of a new team. Even though his new position seems complicated, he’ll put the best of his attitude for training and learning the playbook; with some luck he'll accomplish one of his many goals.
