RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - itztimg - 07-16-2021

People that have impacted me in my time in the ISFL? There are too many to count, but here are few from both London and Baltimore, since I was drafted by both.
For London, I would love to thank @katarn22 for making the Royals what they are. It definitely wouldn't be the same if you weren't GM. Up next is @Luciddreams702. Dude, to out it simply, you rock man. Even before you were co-GM of the Royals, you were an absolutely smashing player and person. I know that when I leave the Royals next season to head to the Hawks, you'll be right there to help London out. Finally from London, I have @EricNCSU my future fellow Oregonian when I move next fall. It was a blast talking to you, and I'm glad I got you to try Final Fantasy XIV.
From the Baltimore side of things, I want to thank @Frick_Nasty for taking a chance and drafting me so high. I definitely was not expecting to go 10th overall in the Draft, so thank you so much for that.
I also want to thank everyone on the Hawks for being so nice, cool, and chill. Especially you, @TomHanks. So glad we got you first overall, and I'm looking forward to playing with you when you get called up.
I don't have anyone to ping for this, but I wanted to thank the Awards voters for nominating me for Defensive Tackle of the Year. I've never been nominated for an award before, not even in the PBE, so it was awesome seeing my name on the list of nominees. Lastly, I wanted to thank the Pro Bowl voting team for crossing yet another career goal off my checklist, and of course @bex for the wonderful league she's helped to create. If I didn't ping anyone else, I apologize. There are far too many people to ping in just one post, but know that I appreciate each and every one of you. You guys make the league great!

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - firstfray - 07-16-2021

I don’t know where to start with this. There have been so many people that have made a positive impact on my time in the league right from when I first joined. First up would probably be thanking the great rookie mentor team and fellow S28 rookies for getting me engaged with the league and keeping me interested so I stuck around. The period from when I made my player to the DSFL draft was so fun making all the mock drafts and prospect bowl articles. There’s too many people to mention for this but a special shout-out to my homies from the Jakarta Seafarers @j00 and @Astrophy058 (The best prospect bowl team of all time)

Then a huge thank you to @WhatAmUs  @frazzle14 and the whole KCC war room for taking a chance on me. I am so glad that I ended up in KCC and although we weren’t able to win a championship (we definitely deserved at least one), my time there was amazing and I am actually sad that I won’t be playing for the team this season.

Speaking of this season, thank you to @TheCC @Bayley and the Chicago Butchers for drafting me in the ISFL draft. It was a long wait but I can’t wait to make my ISFL debut today in the preseason! Also thank you to @Painted for requesting the counting channel in the Butchers LR so I could be the counting king there.

@noanic @cjmccarley@Bigred1580 @z0rem @infinitempg @124715 @Frick_Nasty
Thank you for being great teammates in KCC! I know there’s many more than I forgot to mention but thank you to everyone for making my time in the DSFL so special. Also thank you to everyone currently in the KCC war room for the fun times during the draft scouting and the draft.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Tayjay - 07-16-2021

Well the first person I would have to thank is my brother Zak. @zakkyjohns has been with me since Day 1. I had wanted to join for awhile but I had reservations about the simulation. If I was going to join I wanted him to join as well, but I know he was afraid about being stretched too thin between two leagues. So we waited for the waiver deadline and vetted out what positions we wanted to play as. When it came time to create we both knew what we wanted and we have never looked back. I was originally taken by Kansas City but was drafted by Myrtle Beach, now Bondi Beach, and loved my time there. A couple of my teammates in the locker room there are now with me in Yellowknife. @ZootTX and @NicholasTheGreat both were my teammates for my two teams and have been very helpful for fantasy and helping me get used to the league. I have loved my time in Yellowknife, as evidenced by signing my most recent contract @PMoney and @flyeaglesfly29 have been also GM's and have answered my numerous questions I have asked haha. They are always willing to help and listen when I want to vent or just ask more questions. Fly even helped me earn a job and as my boss he has been very patient with me and my schedule. I wouldn't say I really have reached out to many other users but everyone I have talked to has usually been in a positive way. My fantasy groups are always super cool and every new person in the Wraith locker room is great. @UberBJ and @DarknessRising are two other members of the locker room that are very helpful. I'm always looking for insight into league history/drama and or fantasy advice. Hendrix2.0 was someone I initially tried to model my player after before I turned into a defensive end. Basically I'm very glad I joined the league and it is a wonderful group of users.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - SwankyPants31 - 07-16-2021

Bit of weird timing for this PT since this is going to be the last season of Richard Gilbert, and I was planning on writing something up like this anyways. I’ll keep it short this time, but keep an eye out for my longer version later in the season.

First off, I want to start by thanking @Jay_Doctor and @FleshBagSoup for bringing me to Tijuana. I wasn’t the most active guy leading up to the draft, and you guys took a shot on a RB in the 12th round that I’d like to think panned out. If I’m being completely honest Tijuana wasn’t the highest on my list going into the draft, but looking back I wouldn’t have changed teams for anything. You guys both did such a fantastic job of fostering an amazing locker room environment and making my time in the league enjoyable. I’m so glad to have been able to help bring you guys an Ultimini and GM of the year award.

Next up I want to shout out some of my classmates from that draft class, in no particular order @slothfacekilla, @mithrandir, @AL_GRINGO, @siddhus, and of course @CalvinGolladay. It was such a stellar draft class and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to learn the ropes with. I’m a little bummed that I never got to reunite with you guys at the ISFL level, but I hold on to hope that we’ll share a locker room again some day.

Speaking of which, I want to give a mention to both @mithrandir (again) and @ for GMing the Tijuana Luchadores with me. Couldn’t have asked for better partners in either scenario, you’re both extremely talented guys and made the job so much fun.

Moving on to the ISFL level, first shout outs go to @Frick_Nasty and @woelkers for again spending a late flyer on some quiet RB from Tijuana, and Frick especially for forcibly dragging me kicking and screaming into the war room. It was an awesome ride and I only wish I could have spent more time with you guys there before you moved on to other things.

I’m over my word count now, and as I mentioned at the beginning I’m planning on doing a longer version of this for media, so keep an eye out for that. There are tons of other people I want to tag, so if you don’t see yourself here in the “abridged” version just know that I can assure you that you will be recognized in the extended cut.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Pythonic - 07-16-2021

There are a lot of people that I have to be thankful for getting me into (and most recently, back into the league lmao). There are even more that have made a positive effect on my time in the league, even if I'm more active in the SHL than I am over here. Since I don't really know too many people here, I'm also going to stick some people from the SHL in here too, because why not? Spread the love, man.

@Dextaria First off, screw you for going higher than me in the DSFL draft. I will never forgive you for that (don't mind the fact that I will anyway). It's also been very fun managing the Whalers with you back home in the SHL, and I'm also glad that we get to play together on the Birddogs here. Let's try and win an Ultimini for Dallas, eh?

@ZootTX Thanks for taking another chance on me again this season, I'll try not to go inactive after I get to 110 TPE this time! No promises, though. Like I said to Dex, let's bring another Ultimini home. This time, I'll score the winning touchdown, or something like that. Trust me.

@zaynzk First off, you stink. Second off, why did you leave Vancouver this season? You're missing out, man. Good luck in your ISFL endeavors though. You were a pleasure to have in Vancouver, even if you did just insult me most of the time.

@SchwarzNarr Thanks for helping me out in my return to the ISFL, sorry if I was ever a bit too annoying or dumb. It be like that sometimes. You did make it a lot easier and convincing for me to get back into sim football, so thanks again.

@DELIRIVM Hey bud, don't go inactive again with this player, alright? Are we gonna have to win some hardware in order to keep you around for once? But seriously though, you're a cool guy - it's been fun talking about the SMJHL expansion stuff in our DMs for the past couple weeks, even if that isn't really... a compliment? I dunno.

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - noanic - 07-16-2021

In the last six months, I have had a wonderful time here at ISFL. One of the first people to scout me was @slate  for the London Royals. Even though I have told you many times, thank you again for all your help and support. Also one of the first people I wrote with is my GM partner @124715 . As always, I apologize for the excessive spam you suffer, but I always enjoy chatting with you and thank you for that. My journey in DSFL started with the two super GM's @WhatAmUs  and @frazzle14 , a duo that motivated new players like my rookie teammates at the time and myself to continue to be a part of this forum. Your support and enthusiasm has been amazing and I will always be grateful for that.
Also a big thank you for the wonderful time in Kansas City and talking about graphics and your job, to you @Bigred1580 , I love the passion when you talk about things you enjoy! When I was drafted by the Coyotes, I didn't really know what to expect. On one hand I had new rookie teammates, but also alumni who make the locker room probably one of the greatest in the whole ISFL. Thanks to @firstfray , @cjmccarley , @Starboy , @Buttersqauch101 , @GlimsTC , @Bayley , @TheCC , @Guriinwoodo !
Towards the end of my first season in the DSFL, scouting talks for my new ISFL team began. I would like to thank @Swanty who recommended me to the two wonderful GM's @Dewalt27 and @Highhaschdi <3 <3. I was so super happy that it all worked out that I became a Fire Salamander (still need to change that name). Even though I haven't really integrated 100% in Berlin yet, I also had a great time with e.g. @Tylus, @.simo, @Jangorhino and @Menace0528.
Last but not least I want to thank @LimJahey , @MN_Moosey , @infinitempg , @Mojojojo  and @RenoJacksonHS , who have always been super supportive and helpful when it comes to my League jobs.
There are also many others I would like to thank and will do so at some point, if you can not wait, write me a hate message on discord.

Ah und @King Jellyfish wann kommt der kasten?

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - slate - 07-16-2021

Selecting just a handful of people to talk about in a league with as many wonderful users as this one is a really difficult task to be honest. Luckily (?) I'm getting this in pretty close to the deadline, and that gives me a great opportunity to just reciprocate kind words to all of the users who have mentioned me in their posts. I've read every single one of your posts and really appreciate the kind things you've said about me! <3 Now here are some more specific shout outs.

@KingSean Thank you for giving this very weird league a chance after I told you about it! It's been a great activity to share with you as we were unable to see each other most of the past year +. @Mojojojo didn't tag me in her response but the same applies to her as well. <3

@krazko @.emfaith @MMFLEX even though London wasn't able to end up drafting you, it makes me really happy to know how impactful the London LR was as your introduction to the league. I had the same experience as you, getting drafted to a different team after spending a lot of time in London before the draft, and that was one of the key pieces of the Royals identity I wanted to keep as GM, so it's good to know I was at least somewhat successful in that. You are all still finding your feet in this league a bit, but I am really excited to continue to get to know you better and see all the ways that you will be great members of the community!

All the players I was fortunate enough to be able to draft in the DSFL @Dp-420 @Ace @BOOM™ @SaviorHawkins @Sebster @King Jellyfish I've loved getting to know you all and see you develop, you will always hold a special place in my heart and I really appreciated your contributions to sustaining the Royals as the best team in the DSFL both on the field and culture-wise. BANG BANG LION GANG

@"Punter715" @Swanty working with you on the sim transfer and having a (relatively) successful rollout is probably one of my highlights of my time in the ISFL so far to be honest. I can't express my thanks enough to both of you for how much work you put in to make that happen. Hopefully we will have a chance to get a beer in person one day Smile

@Kotasa @r0tzbua @katarn22 @zaynzk @Jimi64 @xenosthelegend @ShnarlyDude If I hadn't joined along such a great class as S25 I'm not sure what activity level I would have had in the league, and you all played big roles in making it such a great group to be a part of.

To my Sailfish teammates @sakrosankt @tMuse @Billybolo53 @LB3737 @abh89 @furiousPanda you've been the best group in the ISFL, I've loved being on this team and winning the Ultimus together is definitely another highlight of my time here.

@Kyamprac (and r0tz again) thanks for running so hard with the anniversary idea and turning it into an awesome show, you both put a ton of effort into it and it meant a lot. And as much as London will yell at me for it I'm really glad you were able to win Dallas an Ultimini.

@Modern_Duke thanks for founding London and staying active in its culture, it's a pretty cool place. Ditto for @DeadlyPlayer.

@.simo You've been a great friend since my early days in the league. Not sure if you remember but I think you were actually one of the only people to comment on my in-character media piece really early on. I've loved all our chats and bouncing ideas off of you. Can't believe Portland drafted you though smh.

@Tesla thanks for being a beacon of positivity in the league, it's much needed at times and you're always great at that role. Also thank you for grading a bunch of my very long media pieces throughout the seasons!

@goodfortunecoffee I already said it in the discussion thread but you're a very cool dude and a great first updater.

And random shoutouts to other people for whom I wasn't good enough to make it into their list of tags: @platanocat @Hordle @Frostbite @GuitarMaster116 @Maglubiyet @Luciddreams702 @Pib @Crunk @Booger @SamTwoSix @noanic y'all are awesome

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - HuddleHussy - 07-16-2021

Hello ISFL!

So I ever have quite the little write up for you all to enjoy! I would like to start out by saying that I dee enjoy the prompt that was used for this off season. Honouring the ppl who make any site good for us is a great idea. The world can be such a dark and depressing place, I think it is great that the ISFL  dies what it can to make the forums and discord a pleasant place to be. All I can say is that I haven been here for a long time and already a fee of the locker rooms give off that family vibe, it warms my heart to see it.

That being said I’m going to send a big thank you to the Norfolk Seawolves for taking me in when I first joined, I would have loved to join you again but alas it was not to be. @negs you have helped me so much, I hon can’t say thanks enough. You introduced me to the girl gang and I can’t get over both your hospitality and knowledge!

@MMFLEX to misquote Shakespeare  ‘how do I love thee, let me count the ways’. You convinced me to give this a go and when I came over here I already considered you one of my fav sim league members. You are so damn spicy, cleaver and funny. You ate an amazing person to be around, I hon think anyone you call friend is a lucky son of a bitch. That brings me to @oilmandan Wink your bff and another of my favourite ppl to talk to. Dan you are a shot of life and you have always had my back when I needed it. I hope you get told often what an amazing person you are, and not just by flex lol!

@SchwarzNarr you made my day the first minute we talked, talk about caring, relatable and clever! You got it all girl and you top it off with a wicked sense of humour. Come hell or high water I will always want to be in a Locker Room with you! You are a boss bitch and I live for it. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming, your warm personality made me feel instantly at home!

@IsaStarcrossed you reached out to me just trying to see how I was setting in and I was so happy that you did. You let me see into a ISFL team Locker Room and even listened to my crummy money grubbing podcasts!! You introduced me to @Tesla and  honestly I can say enough about the yetis!

If you were missed in this I’m sorry, but check out my grateful podcast for more love ? I appreciate y’all

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - MobiausGrander - 07-16-2021

Oh man! So many great players and people have helped me not only integrate into the league so seemlessly but also made my time here a complete blast from the beginning to the present day! Let's begin with the man that started it all for me, @Tylus! A fellow Gator fan, Tylus posted in r/FloridaGators and managed to get me interested and convinced me to join this league a year and a half ago of which I am grateful to be a part of!

Furthermore, I would like to shoutout all of my NOLA teammates for being not only being fun to hang out with but also being a badass group of teammates as well as we have shown in our playoff runs!

I have to shoutout @TomHanks for drafting me into NOLA and helping me become more acclimated into the world of the ISFL! In addition to our great FO, I would like to shoutout @ddrector and @mithrandir for not only being the stabilizing words of wisdom in our locker room but also being two of the greatest and clutchest defensive players I have ever gotten the honor to play with! Furthermore, I would like to shoutout @JuOSu aka Medicinal Toblerone, the other half of the feared Medicinal Rangers! She has always been not only a great teammate but also a legend of a defensive player on the field coming up with play after play. I'm more than honored to be part of the duo with her!

I would also like to shoutout @Dewalt27 and @bex for being great, fun, and very memey people in my time with the Minnesota Grey Ducks (HONK!). Furthermore, I would like to shoutout @Tesla for being not only a great source of positivity herself but also giving sage advice and making everyone around her secure and comfortable!

Last but definitely not least is our QB, the legend himself, @slothfacekilla Every year I have been with NOLA, Sloth has been one of, if not, the hypest player I have ever been around! He has made every game day memorable in the locker room and has always been a badass of a player on the field as well! I hope that this upcoming season we can finally break through and win it for him most of all!

RE: (S30) Offseason Point Task - Drip - 07-16-2021

My time in this league has been so amazing. And a lot of that has been because of the caliber of people in this league. First off, @katarn22 , @Rusfan ,       @SchwarzNarr, @SwankyPants31 , @IsaStarcrossed, @Sylphreni , @SDCore, @nunccoepi , and all of the other Colorado Yeti WR members, thank you so much for letting me become a part of this team, and be able to sit behind swanky and become the next great Yeti RB. I could not have asked for a better ISFL place, and I plan on getting us an ultimus as soon as possible!

Now, I am so invested in being a Lucha, that I would be remiss if I didn't bring up the legend who brought me here. @Tonzy, I am forever grateful that you drafted me to be a Lucha. Tijuana will always be my home, and I am so grateful that you took a shot on me. More than that though, I thank you for being a great friend. I know I found a true brother and you helped me through a lot. Whenever you get to Cali, beers on me.

I also want to say, as a scout, I have had conversations with some truly amazing people who are both new to the league and been around a while. Out of all of the great people I have met, @Amulos, @KezKincaid, @Jerms, @noanic, @goodfortunecoffee, and @JPach have been some of the most memorable. Thank you all for bringing your unique energy to this league, and I am so excited to see the new peoples progression.

My amigos, hermanos in crime in Tijuana. Thank you all for putting up with my streaky activity and wild ideas. We will bring many more ultimini championships to the homeland. @j00, @deadlunatic, @bowl0, @dude_man, @CalvinGolladay, @Rufio_NZ, @Exilate, @GuitarMaster116, and the people who I don't have time to tag cuz I start work in 2 minutes, I love you all.

Obligatory  shoutout to @bex for running the league, and of course my casino friends @shrub02 and @Bayley. Let's make the next chapter of the league even better than the last!
