I love the draft stream, I just think the very cheatable PT should be eliminated, or at least the due date moved up to before the offline draft happens.

And why are we keeping the dsfl draft at the level of secrecy as the nsfl draft anyway? That was kept secret for the mock drafts and dsfl has none.

Its not just the mock draft. The reason we do the draft presentation the way we do is to improve the experience. Leaking draft picks to people ruins the experience for them

Honestly VERY MUCH prefer the fancy graphic stream, if I'm honest.
Besides, let's not pretend there aren't leaks in the SHL's "live draft" process. GMs talk, the "draft" gets ahead of the posted picks. Hell, I found out which SMJHL team drafted me before it was announced because HO gave me LR perms too quickly, even with the live draft.

Sure. But the Mock is closed before the draft actually occurs. Which is what's not happening here. What you're talking about has nothing to do with the issue at hand here.

Your "issue at hand" had nothing to do with these two punishments, as already established in the thread. One was a DSFL pick, one was a late-rounder.
Sure, close the mock before the "private" draft starts, I'm all for that. But it wouldn't have changed anything with these two instances. The solution, regardless of league, is don't leak. It happens in every league, though. Having a live draft won't stop leaks, it will only change their consequences. If the primary objective of not leaking is to preserve end-user experience, any leak, regardless of timing or system, sucks.
