Okay to start off Mason Brown has not been to the Otters training camp since his rookie season. He goes to the Portland Pythons training camp to help teach these young linebackers how to play the position. Last year Mason Brown had to leave early because he was told that at the Otters Training Camp Angus Winchester had a heart attack from all of his cheese burgers. That ended up being a prank so Mason went back to find the Pythons thought it would be funny to spray liquid ass in his helmet. Mason not being one to be out done in pranks welded Angus Winchesters locker door shut... Angus pulled the door so hard that he broke the weld. So that prank failed. The next prank he did was one that had to do with a rubber snake. He cut 3 feet of fishing line and tied it to the rubber snake and went around taping to the Pythons runningbacks to help them run faster. So it was training and a prank all in one. A 2 for 1 combo baby. But the best prank happened this year when Rickey Ramero entered the building for the first time and had a bucket of red paint dropped on him that was intended for Jaylon Broxton. So Rickey had to sit through and interview and practice session covered in red paint.

As we entered the San Jose SaberCats training facility for the Season 11 Training Camp, us wide receivers noticed a new quarterback that's going to be under centre this season. That is none other than Joliet L. Christ. Myself, along with Kazimir Oles, decided to have some fun with the rookie quarterback.

When we went into the locker room, Oles and I unscrewed Christ's nameplace from his locker. We took the name plate and screwed it onto the bathroom stall door. When he came in looking for his locker, we directed him towards the bathroom and showed him where it was. When he opened the stall door, he found all of his equipment sitting on top of the toilet. After that, we took the bin of footballs and replaced them with "altered footballs". We took some old footballs, wore out the grip and deflated them a little bit. When Joliet came onto the field, he used the footballs in the bin and proceeded to throw ducks all over the field. The coaches were in on it so they gave him a hard time, saying he came to camp unprepared and what not. He pleaded his case until Oles and I came out of the shadows and let him in on the prank.

After that, we told him it was all in good fun and that we were very excited to start the season with the gun slinger. He took it very well and it actually helped us bond during camp and I think it will help our chemistry out on the field.

As a newcomer to the Otters locker room, but looking exactly like the veteran who just left the team during retirement, Spector was in perfect position to play a few pranks. And get pranked.

Fellow newcomer to the locker room, Ricky Ramero, was settling into his new locker. spector went to his mirror and dabbed a bit of age enhancing makeup on his face so he looked like the freshly retired "Enigma" version of himself. He went up to Ramero and introduced himself as the older version and began telling him to be weary of Winchester and Broxton, as they really like to mess with newcomers lockers. He handed him a padlock so that he could make sure they couldn't mess with his stuff when he was in the weight room or doing drills. Ramero thanked the "old man" and began using it. Everyone in the locker room looked at him oddly and Marc began telling people that in his old locker room, in Colorado, everyone used to pick on him by stealing his stuff. So to make him feel welcome, we should all buy him a bunch of stuff to feel nice. He convinced Broxton and Winchester to buy him a few things and break into the locker (Spector told them he secretly watched and got the combination, but he knew it all along since he gave him the lock) and put it in there as a surprise. While Broxton and Winchester were doing this, Spector ran to Ramero and told him that 2 guys were busting his locker up. Ramero ran into the locker room and began pushing Broxton. But when he saw they were giving him a bunch of stuff, not messing with him, it turned into a giant laugh especially when Spector revealed he orchestrated the whole debacle.

New season, new rookies, new pranks. For the Arizona Outlaws, a LOT of new rookies. Six in fact. Even with just three being added to the active roster, it's the largest influx at one in a number of seasons. Not to mention, the Outlaws added wide receiver Budda Browning by trade with the Baltimore Hawks, defensive tackle Mark David via free agency, and called up depth runningback in S9 draftee LaMarcus Strike. With so many new players in the lockerroom for training camp to open the football working season, the pranks quickly get into full swing. Here's a couple:
There's the classic of putting all the rookies cleats into jello. It never get's old, and Alex Selich, Footballer Sackerman, and Andrew Reese have all already suffered from it. A new one: one of the player's replaced the name plaque on general manager John J. Johnson's office door with a plaque reading "Jim J. Jimson." It's been a few days, and nobody can tell if he hasn't notice or just doesn't care, but when Johnson is around all the players crack up about it. Also someone hid Strike's cleats on the first day, then forgot where they hid them, so he had to get a whole new pair (not that he didn't already have 3 at once).

As standard procedure by Jon Gruden (Pythons GM/HC), various pranks are pulled out. One is the "moving locker prank". Jon Gruden watches the office religiously, and had to pull out the "Lost desk" prank. After he got the rooks settled into their new lockers, he (very randomly, mind you) picked a little slip of paper out of a hat with a name on it. This name happened to be Charlie Trout, one of the more serious draftees of the team. So that night, he ordered the custodian to remove all of Trout's belongings in his locker, move the rest of the lockers one over, and put Mr. Trout's locker in the shower.

The next morning, as Mr. Trout arrived in the facilities for practice and team building, everyone showed up early, as part of an "urgent issue" that needed to be addressed that morning. The rest of the team was let in on the prank, and when Trout showed up and couldn't find his locker, there was lots of feigned concern from the rest of the team. Gruden directed Trout to his locker in the shower, and Trout had to get his equipment and move his locker with the help of longtime Pythons lineman Sable Runestad. As Trout was late to practice, standard procedure dictated that he would have to run suicides for the first 10 minutes of practice.

Training camp can be one of the best parts of the year for a football player; getting to know the new rookies, hanging out with friends, and of course the pranks. This is no different in San Antonio for the Marshals. Everyone loves picking on the newest additions to the team, especially Arbin Asipi III. In one instance Gordon Ramsay Jr. made some dishes for Arbin after he lost a bet to the rook. But when Arbin walks in expecting some good food from the son of maybe the best chef in the world, he isn't ready for a prank right in front of his eyes. Little does the RB know that Ramsay is setting him up to eat food made from Play-Doh. Arbin definently feels odd when everyone pulls out their phones when he goes to eat. He just figures that everyone wants to see him show up a veteran. But when Asipi takes in some noodles as his food of choice, he feels an overwhelming taste of sodium and relizes that something isn't right. The locker room burst into laughter as Arbin realizes that he's the subject of the newest prank. But in the end, he doesn't hold any grudges and life goes on as a football player.
