people seem to be confused about the process that goes into updating if they can read about him being warned multiple times and somehow come out with some question about how the updaters missed it

Because it's way easier to blame others when you don't fully understand something.

Yes so being an updater multiple times for multiple seasons is a lack of understanding in the job right? If that's the case, no one in sim league history has ever been an updater. What's an updater right? Take that noise somewhere else. Also it's limited interest as in I have done my fair share of jobs over the course of 8 seasons in sim leagues. Why should I get more involved when I am content with the workload from sim leagues that I already carry?
