(S12) - PT 4 - Midseason Review - Bayley - 01-02-2019 In the DSFL, the San Antonio Marshals are 3-5, currently in the 2nd spot in the SFC South, so they are currently in a playoff spot. Now, it has not been the best of seasons for the team as they cannot win anything on the road. In fact, they are 0-4 on the road, which is less than ideal for any team. Now, for Tyler Swift, it has been a pretty good year even though he has been splitting snaps with Fast Boija. Swift is 3rd in the league in Rushing Yards with 744, only 75 behind Danielsson of the Kansas City Coyotes. He is averaging 5.5 yards per rush which is .4 behind his teammate. Swift also has 6 touchdowns on the year. Overall, he has to be pretty happy with how everything looks thus far in 8 games. He is set to average just about 1,300 yards rushing and over 10 touchdowns. Going into the season, this was not something that he could see was going to happen, but it sure did. I have to say, it was an up and down season, but there is still a lot of work to do. So, we need to keep going and going and we will get there. The Liberty have lost their last two games and they are looking to right the ship in time for the playoffs at the regular seasons end. Look for the Liberty to come out strong and push themselves into a postseason berth otherwise the fans will be pretty upset. K.J. Becker has enjoyed a very solid season in his second campaign. He is in the top ten for tackles in the league and has also been a force when it comes to forcing fumbles and allowing his offence to see the field an extra amount of time. No sacks on the record for the second year linebacker thus far but he is looking to change that and be more of a disrupter in the the pass rush. Becker is coming off a very solid rookie campaign and it's easy to see why the Philadelphia Liberty were so high on the kid when other teams passed on him and let him drop. General Managers around the league are really scratching their heads because Becker was there for them and they ended up saying he wasn't worth it. Becker has also proved that the "character concerns" were just words through out by a bitter rival and not something real scouts should've given the time of day. (S12) - PT 4 - Midseason Review - TommySalami - 01-02-2019 SHL Affiliation (S12) - PT 4 - Midseason Review - DavidCorperial - 01-02-2019 Line Backer David Blake Ginsberg has been quite happy with both his own and his team the Portland Pythons performance in the DSFL this season. At 5-3 they are having a very solid record this season while having the top rankings in point differential, yards allowed, and rushing yards allowed while being second in points allowed and passing yards allowed. They are also leading the league in safeties, blocked extra point kicks and tied with 2 other teams on interceptions. While David has been quietly putting up a quality season where he is second on the team in tackles as well as tied for 14th in the league in said category. He is also tied for 4th on the team in passes defended and tied for 22nd in the league in said category, but is tied for 7th with all LBs in said category. The team is gelling quite well and the locker room is all getting along, meaning that David is happy with the team both on and off the field and is expecting the team to have a strong end of season run and to have a strong playoffs, and hopefully win the championship this year. David hopes to continue going from strength to strength throughout the remainder of the season. (S12) - PT 4 - Midseason Review - Phobospwns - 01-02-2019 GOMHL Media (S12) - PT 4 - Midseason Review - WALDO - 01-02-2019 The Marshals were low. They felt that being 3-5 at this point was a very bad thing. However, the great thing was that the fans still showed up. Cornerback (who now plays more Safety) Jeffery Murphy had walked around the stadium before their latest home game and talked to different fans who were at the game. The first fan was who looked to be a rich man with his family. When asked why he was there, he responded almost immediately, “I grew up watching football, I want my kids to have that same experience. There are so many things to do at the stadium and it is fun for the kids.” Another man was nearby, however he didn’t look rich like the last man. He asked the man what he was doing here, the man responded immediately just like the last man, “I have lived here(San Antonio) all my life, we finally got a Football team, regardless of how bad the team is, I will always be here watching the game, Go Marshals!” He talked to another family, one that looked like a middle class family, he asked why they were here, the mom responded first. “We are only here hoping that they win today, if they don’t we may have to stop coming to games, the management isn’t great and the team isn’t that great, let’s hope for change.” (231) (S12) - PT 4 - Midseason Review - PaytonM34 - 01-02-2019 Alright so listen here everyone, you guys all think New Orleans Second Line have given up and have an ultimus hangover. Boy are you guys all so wrong. Not only did we get rid of easily our worst player on the entire team, Blackford Oakes, but we also didn't retain AdamS in the draft. We're straight up draining the swamp here. Soon I even expect that scrub Borkus Maximus to get traded away because who in their right mind wants a dog for a quarterback. Half of the team that was in their prime in the dynasty era is retiring, making our team one of the most youthful teams out there. Move over grandpa, we don't have any AARP, so get out of here. Oh, and also, Fyodorovich is literally so good that the league is making him play only one position. What does that tell you about talent. It doesn't matter that we have a tight end who is literally riding his scooter to practices because he's 13 years past his prime, he's still a gosh darn beast out there. Keep those heads up boys, and dont listen to the fake news out there telling us that we arent as good as we were once before. /s , if that needs to be said... ![]() |
