What we really need is for the league to pay Slm to pitch the league to people not in it. I suppose that’s more of an ad agency, but whatever.

In my free agency run, I often wished I had an agent or someone to consult with about my options. Player agencies would be a very welcome addition to the league. Question is how would they get paid? Would they get a cut of their client's check? Who knows.

Media is their only option. Agents will not get a cut of a player's salary here.

Is there any downside to having an agent then? You're getting positive media pieces written about you and someone to negotiate for you who knows this league about as well as you can.

You lose out on doing the contract talks yourself, which some people enjoy. I could also see GMs drafting players without agents over players with agents down the road because a lot of those with will probably be asking for top dollar.
