With a complete defense the otters will Need to add some more talent to the offensive side of the ball needing someone to take pressure off their two top recievers Robert Phelps and westfield. They've both lit up the league so far but such limited recieving options kills such a explosive offense when they don't have a bail out option. Someone who will make a clutch catch amd extend drives. This isn't a necessary trade for the otters considering they have been lighting the world ablaze. The trade being lightskin thor and a 5th round pick for mister dj law from the Colorado yeti. This trade gives the yeti another big pass rushing threat who can produce in their defense while the otters get an absolute stud wr. This trade will absolutely give both teams what they'll need to hopefully meet in the championship game at the end of the year. The actually likelihood of this happening in slim though as it appears both teams will most likely be standing pat with their current rosters this season Great minds think alike (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - Jbearly - 06-27-2017 (06-27-2017, 06:14 PM)theFlock Wrote:Great minds think alike Frick off us dirty outlaw (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - Sanctus - 06-27-2017 ![]() (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - theFlock - 06-27-2017 (06-27-2017, 06:17 PM)Jbearly Wrote:Frick off us dirty outlaw Huh. (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - Noppadet - 06-27-2017 The Colorado Yeti have traded their quarterback Noble for Jameis Christ, Ben Longshaw, and AC Hackett! The Colorado Yeti made a bold move trading their star quarterback for Jameis (Quarterback), Longshaw (OL), and Hackett (LB). This move comes as a huge surprise for all players involved, except Jameis who was the Sabercat's starter until Ethan Hunt came in with a surprise win versus the Yeti in week 8. While Jameis cannot be blamed for all of the woes that came the Sabercats way, many Sabercat's fans were left wondering if the quarterback was giving it his all every game, especially after Hunt's week 8 performance. They Yeti are hoping to strengthen up their defense and offensive line, while making an arguably risky move for Jameis. Are the Yeti undervaluing Noble and will now be destined to a place in the win-loss lines akin to the Sabercats previously under Jameis, or are they making a smart decision by picking up some strong role talent while hoping their training staff can help fix some of the issues Jameis had previously? Only after the ribbon has been cut, the trade has been finalized, and more than a few games have been played will anyone know. Sabercats fans are left wondering if a QB battle will be happening next year, or if they simply brought in Noble and plan to make a trade involving Ethan Hunt during the doldrum of the offseason. Code: 239 words (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - Sweetwater - 06-27-2017 This season has definitely been a rollercoaster, but two teams want to make some big waves in before the deadline to try to earn the Ultimus Trophy this year or next. The Orange County Otters, and the Yellowstone Wraiths. Let's start with the Otters. Orange County's front office, having just traded quarterback Ethan Hunt to the San Jose Sabercats, was a little upset. Not because they feel they were ripped off, but because they misunderstood what it takes to win. Thinking that you need four quarterbacks to win a game, because there are four quarters, the Otters originally grabbed 5 quarterbacks in the draft. After some positional changes, and the recent trade, the Otters are left with only two quarterbacks. The front office is desperately trying to get two more to get those wins, so trades have been a bit insane. I believe they will be offering entire portions of their defense to try and snag a couple QBs. Maybe all of their LBs for VDrax, or even all of their D Line for Jameis Christ. Don't rule any of these out as possibilities. As for the Wraiths, having given up on this year, will look to make a splash to build for the future. I have heard rumors of trying to trade Josh Garden for the low low price of a teams first through fifth round pick. A bargain for a team looking for an elite Receiving threat. The Wraiths will look to build through the draft and hope that their rookies can keep up with other vets by using a better understanding of stat distribution. Otters are strange animals... *loud squeaking noises* (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - Molarpistols - 06-27-2017 In a shocking development, the Orange County Otters have moved most of their draft-stock for the foreseeable future to the Arizona Outlaws for the rights to standout safety Isaiah Rashad. The safety has been one of Orange County Otters QB Mike Boss's favorite targets, throwing 6 interceptions to him in two regular season games. Rumors out of Santa Ana, the home of the Otters have Rashad going iron-man, playing safety and wide-receiver for the Otters. Reasoning behind the decision includes "Why mess with chemistry? We have two good WR options, but can always use a 3rd for certain formations, and Rashad catches every one of Boss's passes in his direction. It only makes sense!" The blockbuster deal makes a bit of sense for the Otters. They take away a dangerous weapon from a conference rival, a player who nearly single-handedly can be given credit with the Outlaws 2-0 record against the Otters. The move would also be improving their already stout defense. One of the few faults that can be found in the Otter's defense is a lack of turnovers, Rashad can help alleviate that. Meanwhile, the Outlaws make away with the Otters first two picks in each of the next two drafts. These picks may take a little bit of time to develop, but who can complain about a 4-for-1 trade? Code: 229 (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - Roshambo - 06-28-2017 I tried. ![]() (S1) - PT #4 - Deadline Deals - AsylumParty - 06-28-2017 With the days winding down, and thus the trade deadline fast approaching, San Jose took a long hard look at themselves. Coming off an impressive win against the Yeti, their morale was high and a roster shakeup was the last thing on their mind, but management knew that there was still so much room left to improve. In a move unprecedented and unexpected in the league, the SaberCats announced that they would be shipping off their star receiver Bailey Cook to the Arizona Outlaws who would be joining a bevy of talented receivers there. Reminiscent of the Cleveland Browns front office, talks of competence, or lack thereof, swirled among the media, and yet, San Jose stood composed, sure of their decision. Their faith in newly acquired quarterback Ethan Hunt obvious. Hopefully for their sake he can deliver to anyone, seeing as they are now left without a true number one wide receiver. In return, the Cats acquired a number one and number four pick in the upcoming draft, clearly very sure that, or hopeful, that they can land a new star or two. Perhaps it is a move that will work out for the best. Changes obviously need to be made, but at the wideout position? I'm not so sure. We'll have to wait and see. |
