I mean isn't this the same situation as Toriki? So the rule in place would have always applied even under the wording it had. Heck no matter what it's still a fitty

That HO member said something ambiguous that did not definitively say anything as HO authority on 11/16. Dwyer's post indicated that the vote on the rule happened on 11/17. On 11/17, another HO member communicated in GM chat to the PHI GMs that the ruling was as Dwyer laid out and that the contract needed to be changed, along with the text of the updated rule. Then one of the primary instigators in this situation said "if you wanna retroactively count this with a rule that's fine."

You know the full story and you know that no matter what he felt, his timeline and complaints are objectively wrong. Perpetuating that story doesn't help anything here.

Bruh why don't you go break the rules some more then cry about it publicly after you get ousted. Stfu

While this seems like an overreaction on the surface, I think we know that there are usually several things to blame when something like this happens and I imagine this was just the last thing on top of that pile. I just want to say thank you for stepping up when the league needed you to do so and, as a GM, I appreciate. I enjoyed our interactions and wish you the best whether you choose to come back or not.

Now who’s perpetuating a BS story. No announcements for a full month but yea sure it’s all my fault.

The team was tagged and notified of the ruling on 11/17 in GM chat. It's true there was no announcement on the forum, and I will admit, we dropped the ball there. But you even responded to the tag in GM chat, so to say the team was unaware isn't even remotely true.

I know I'm just a new guy here, but this seems like an small issue blown way out of proportion, I strongly suggest cutting out the finger pointing, blaming, and witch hunting, and shifting to a constructive conversation on how to avoid similar situations going forward. At the end of the day, yes this is just a sim game, but a lot of people put a lot of time and effort into making this a rewarding experience.

I don't believe there was any ill-intent in the structure of the contract, and I don't believe the HO had any ill-will against anyone, they were just doing their best to implement the rules in the way they understood to be the intent of said rules.

So lets all move on, use this as a learning experience and allow this to be a positive learning experience on what is still a relatively young league.

I have to agree with this. I’m just a lowly kicker so my opinion ultimately doesn’t matter here, but this situation reeks of the stereotypical hate against HO, something that I thought was a joke until recently.

Don’t get me wrong, HO made a bad decision here. But this isn’t a suspension or fine, it’s a contract. Contracts can be resigned. It’s only gotten to this point because of that HO hate, which we need to resolve so that something like this doesn’t happen again. If we do nothing, a larger, much more destructive powder keg could blow.
