while i kinda like the meta around GM picks and the trade scenarios it almost forces into existence... there is a very simple alternative solution if this trading is ever deemed to be an issue: just remove the second round picks of teams with GM players from the draft order, and automatically assign the GM player to the respective team. problem solved.
there is no pick to trade for, so there is no meta, and no "exploit". seemplez.
in fact, the only logical explanation for why this isnt already the case, is that GMs like having this meta in existence.
