(S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - Reno - 04-27-2020 243 Words Going into her third season in the DSFL, Tree has a mixed bag of expectations going forward with this season. Fully expecting to be in the NSFL this year, she will continue to try and provide a leadership role and providing additional guidance to the rookies with Kansas City. Tree also wishes to feature more prominently in the passing game for Kansas City this year, with the stacked WR corps all making the jump so far she features to be a dominant force this year. Tree hopes to actually get more than 2 touchdowns this year, but she isn’t going to get her hopes up that much because that’s how she got hurt last season. Tree also wants to finally win TE of the Year for her own sake. After finishing 2nd in the award her rookie season (to an inactive tight end) and having a down season statistically her second year, nothing would bring her happiness like finally winning the award that has long eluded her in her career. Another award Tree wants to finally win is the Ultimini. Kansas City has been a playoff team both years Tree has been in the DSFL and actually made it to the finals last season before bowing out to Myrtle Beach. Expecting to make the jump to the NSFL next season, Tree hopes her last season in the DSFL is one of setting records and scoring touchdowns and hopes that Kansas City is undefeated. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - Tylus - 04-27-2020 With the DSFL preseason on the horizon, Tychondrius Hood has been working hard to get ready for the upcoming season. Recently drafted 22nd overall by the Minnesota Grey Ducks, things have been moving quickly for Hood, and he transitions from the college to developmental level. Hood first spend time in the film room, learning how cornerbacks move in the dsfl, and how he can use his speed to beat them at this level of play. Training camp in Duluth has been going smoothly for the rookie though, as his teammates and coaches have been there to help him learn and grow to become a stronger, faster player. His recent friendly rivalry with fellow Duck wideout Kai Sakura has only intensified his passion for the game and will to get better on and off the field. Hood hopes to win the Ultimini with his team, and feels that he has a very good chance to help them achieve that goal. He would also like to break the DSFL rookie yardage record, and possibly a POY award of some kind. Overall, his goals are to help his team win, and the stats don't really worry him too much. Hood was quoted as saying "I'd rather win and catch one pass than lose and catch ten touchdowns.". After being just a three star recruit out of high school and playing four seasons at Utah State he has dreamed of starting at linebacker for an NSFL team. If the DSFL is any indication we could expect Quaid to be one of the top defensive playmakers this season and for years to come. His speed, IQ, and strength in the middle of the Yellowknife defense will be a nightmare for opposing offenses. As a rookie he gained experience by playing strong safety, but linebacker will be his home for up to the next twelve years. This offseason he made incredible gains in the film room. His play recognition improved astronomically leaving the coaching staff with no choice but to start him at middle linebacker. There’s no reason why Quaid can’t compete for a pro bowl spot. He’s going for 120 tackles, five sacks, and two interceptions. That could possibly put him in the conversation for LB of the Year, but that award mostly goes to strong side LBs with high sack totals. The ultimate goal however is to finally help the Wraiths end their Ultimus losing streak and pull off a win. Fifth time will be a charm. Last season saw him post strong numbers and earn a nomination for DROTY, but ultimately Jamie fell short in achieving any serious recognition in terms of formal awards or recognition. This season he finds himself away from the desert and on Florida's west coast playing for the Sarasota Sailfish. The Sailfish are going to be one of the worst teams in the league so Jamie's desire to go out and win rings isn't going to be met his season, but it could mean that this may be the season in which we see some sort of breakout from him that enables him to become considered as one of the better safeties in the NSFL. The easiest goal to quantify for this season at this spot is a selection to the Pro Bowl and a nomination for DBOTY. If Jamie can achieve these it will prove his level of talent and ability as being among the best in the league With this being a contract year and Jamie entering the season without an agreement signed, it gives him an added motivation to excel this season and put up some great numbers. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - iamslm22 - 04-27-2020 Wow well thinking of what I want to do and what there is to accomplish this year the third year of Avon Blocksdale Jr and I have so many goals. Lets first talk about the first two years of Avon Blocksdale Jr and his awesome career so far. Avon Blocksdale Jr made the pro bowl each of his first two seasons in the league and he definitely wants to be a pro bowler this year too that is the first goal of Avon Blocksdale Jr and definitely something he hopes to accomplish because that would be awesome and it would be fun and hopefully that happens. On top of that Avon Blocksdale Jr wants to get more touchdowns and that is somewhere he has struggled. He did not catch a touchdown in his first season and in his second season he had a two touchdown game but was shut out outside of that so now Avon Blocksdale Jr is going to try to get to the end zone more often and I believe he will be able to do it. On top of that he wants to make the playoffs and the Philly Liberty are a strong team and I believe he will be able to lead them to the playoffs and they are a good team and I hope he gets what he wants. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - DrunkenTeddy - 04-27-2020 Phillips this season is all about adapting to the big league, getting his hands on the ball enough times to be used to it at this level, and winning with the Otters. As a 2nd best TE on the team he isn't expected to have a massive impact and probably won't be a standout for rookie of the year or anything, but a few carries here and there and a couple touchdowns would be a great start for this young TE. Coming into the league as a true rookie puts Jeffrey at a slight disadvantage when comparing his stats to other rookies who are joining the league this season as many of them had a send down season under their belt before being brought up to the big league. For this fresh faced rookie there aren't a lot of expectations this season, it will mostly be filled with Phillips getting his feet wet in the league and joining the ranks of an already solid team in the Orange County Otters. After this season he may become the number 1 Tight End on the team, but for this time around he will have to play second fiddle on a staked team. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - Colabear - 04-27-2020 It will be the rookie NSFL season for myself. Coming off the Ultimini title success with the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers and joining the perennial NSFL contenders the Yellowknife Wraiths standards are high on both sides. While under no illusions about what I'm likely to achieve at a personal level so early on in my career as a freshly drafted prospect, I know that in Yellowknife there's a culture and an expectation of winning. However I certainly don't get a pass to relax with no pressure and enjoy a redshirt year, or focus my efforts in the DSFL to refine my skill set. As a first round draft pick I'm expected to contribute straight away, and I expect that of myself. At safety I'm the last line of defense, I want to be all over the field, racing to the ball, making tackles and when the opportunity presents itself undercutting routes and showing those quarterbacks not to underestimate me or my abilities. The dream for me is to help Yellowknife get that Ultimus that's been denied them for too long. There are so many living legends of the game in this locker room who don't have that trophy in that cabinet that they deserve. For some of them they might not get many more chances so if I can help them get their just desserts, I'll be a happy man.
