Most obvious breaking of a specific rule in league history.
Lightest punishment on record given out for said rule break.
End of story.
Wait...nope...not in this fucking league. Instead its hours upon hours of discussion and complaint about a punishment that barely exists to begin with. Sprinkle in some victim complex and complaining about the word toxic after you used the goddamn word to describe yourself to begin with and here we are.

Not all of us are rich, I only had around 10 mil in the bank before this. So yeah, it is kind of a big deal to me. This is the 6th proven case for tampering, so "lightest punishment" is based off of like 5 other cases? It does seem like there's some resentment between you and I. I understand I'm not the most likable league figure, but why don't we put aside our previous schemas and think of this from a neutral POV. Of course, there will always be a certain bias, depending on how the defendant acts. We can at least try to minimize that. The language you use in your conversations with my GMs and I seems to point towards you having a predisposition towards me.

I think your reasoning is flawed, and I'm not here to just blatantly criticize HO. They do a lot of good stuff but some of the reasoning that you used was poor. I do think the tampering rules themselves need to be changed also. I'm perfectly willing to stop talking about this if you want me to. And yeah I was definitely in the wrong with that dumb comment. That was definitely "tampering" according to your rules and I take blame for that.

I'm sorry but coming up with rules like this is part of what takes away the fun of sim leagues. I would be pissed if I was punished for something like this too.
I understand the need for a tampering rule, I really do. But the thing he posted was harmless. It's not because you have a rule that it's a good rule.

To go back to the beginning. The rule was broken blatantly, simply, and in public. The punishment was levied. This should be the easiest thing in the world.
If people dislike the rule, tell your GMs to support Arizona's proposal to alter it. A rule I personally support by the way. I'll be very personally happy that one of the last things I do as a member of HO is to vote for that rule change. Every one of you has access to rules voters. Use it. As is, numerous attempts to change the rule have been made and failed since the previous situation and its absolutely ridiculous to expect that your HO is going to just not enforce rules that the voting powers of the league (ie GMs/HOs) have repeatedly kept in place by not replacing them before now.

also the public sometimes when a decision is made to lessen a punishment they dont like: "I'm glad the HO made this decision, they shouldnt have kept precedent! glad HO saw the facts and changed the ruling" (imagine that, HO needing to have some leeway in decisions)
also the public sometimes when they follow the exact precedent that they were just yelled at for sometimes not keeping: "Oh my gosh, can you believe this? HO is tyrannical! How could they do something like this! fuck HO, they need people who arent idiots in there."
This, my friends, is how you get people to quit. You wonder why up until recently our HO retention was below league average? Shit like this is why
