Well the dream for me would be if Dotts in itself became a trading card game itself. Build your perfect lineup of all time greats from the NSFL and ISFL and have them face off against someone else's team built from their collection. Some sort of cross between Dotts and the Madden Ultimate Team collection. You could even raise the stakes by having the winner win cards from your collection. There could be a handicap system with scoring or spreads to help people with different levels of decks and collections play against one another on an even playing field.
Richer game play would come from trying to find synergies between players rather than just stacking a deck with the most overpowered cards. Players who played on the same team might get bonuses or played in similar systems. You could have special tactic or formation cards which help define the sort of players who will fit your deck of cards and what bonuses will be most effective.
For players with smaller collections or to fill spots with fewer available cards such as offensive linemen you could buy bot players to fill out your slots and this could work alongside the handicap system to help balance out varying deck strengths. The World Series of Dotts. Coming soon.

Unfortunately due to entering a fantasy football league for ISFL money, I haven't been able to buy as many DOTTS packs as I would like, and I haven't seen my awards card be pulled yet, so there is no prime trade target for whenever that comes out, but I do have some ideas for some special series of cards that could be released in the future.The first set would be a "Rookie Premiere" set, with most of the 1st round picks in the newest draft class are featured, which could get more rookies interested in ripping open some packs to pull themselves if they went high in the draft. Another big set could be "Campus Heroes" where, with the help of the Wiki Team, could round up all the people who decided to go to a college, like LSU, and put them all on a horizontal card, holding the college's flag, I know there are a lot of college football fans in this league, so this could be another popular set for the DOTTS team. Overall, I think the DOTTS idea is good, but the execution needs a little bit of improvement, as soon as I saw my Awards card, I ripped my 3 packs in 3 days, got trash, and decided not to buy packs anymore, as i can just look at the image of my awards card whenever, and eventually trade for it if anyone gets it without spending any of my precious ISFL money, I am a fan of DOTTS in general, but not the Draft Sig with a DOTTS logo cards.

As a preface to this task I will say that I have not purchased any Dotts cards yet, so I have no idea how feasible my idea would be. A natural progression from forming a roster of Dotts cards would be to do something with your collection rather than just being able to show it off to other users or trade cards. So my proposal would be to set up an offseason tournament similar to how Madden Ultimate Team works (or used to work, I haven't played Madden in several years). Users could enter the tournament for free and create a team from their Dotts collection. The tournament organizers could then construct the same roster inside of the sim and have the teams compete. The top prize for this tournament would be ... some more packs of Dotts cards, of course (or a rare promotional card that could only be won from tournaments)! To prevent a large gap in skill or wealth between the user base, perhaps the tournament could be stratified in such a way that 'all-bronze' teams could play each other for a lesser prize while 'anything goes' teams could play for a larger one. Because this type of event would be free to enter, I believe it would incentivize users to buy Dotts cards in hopes of constructing a better roster while simultaneously teaching them about the inner workings of roster construction and the sim.

I think the Dotts Trading Cards are a cool concept and I can’t wait to see where it goes and I really appreciate those that put it together.
As for an idea for a card set I would like to see some special rookie cards for 1st rounders starting with the S25 draft. It’d be especially cool to see a stylized cards for the first overall pick. It’s a very special milestone to be selected first overall and I think it should be celebrated.
I also haven’t pulled any but it’d be cool to see some team cards as well to celebrate Ultimus and Ultimini champions. It could feature the team logo and perhaps a few of their star players from the team.
As for an idea for the current system, I’m not sure if it’s in the pipeline or been discussed but I think setting up some sort of auction house would be cool. There are people who are going to want to complete their collections and outside of trading what better way to complete your collection. It’d also give a chance for users who spent money but aren’t digging it as much as they thought a chance to recoup some of their hard earned money.

I've got lots of ideas here.
So, in all honesty, the cards are a cash dump for long time active players who have money to burn. That's totally cool and the league probably needs a moneysink. What could make it more appealing, though, is if there could be some sort of possible return on investment to give incentive to users to buy them. Make it so a portion of the money goes into some raffle, and every time you buy a pack you get a raffle number. Or, allow us to auction, sell, or trade the cards to other users.
See if there's a way you can really display your collection. You could have your "display" card, but then you could also show your stats like, "rarest card owned" or stuff in that vein.
Okay now this idea is really far fetched and kind of silly, but what if there was a way to make like a Madden Ultimate Team type thing out of it? Build teams out of your cards and then have your team compete with other users. It's 2020 after all. Who knows what's possible these days?!
It would be really fun if there was some way (okay this would take forever) to show that players stats on the card like some of the real trading cards do

I’m into sports trading cards in real life, and a lot of cool things are done that I’m sure we could implement. I really like dotts, it was a great step toward making money matter more. Some things that I would like to see in future dotts releases would be jersey cards, autograph cards, refractor versions of base cards, and numbered cards such as 1/10, 1/1, etc. I’ve relayed some of this information to dotts employees. Another thing that could be done are milestone types of cards, they could be total career milestones or season ones. For example, have a limited number of cards of the players with 100+ career sacks (100 Sack Club), or 10,000 yard receiving or rushing club. Something like this could be done for every position. Another cool idea would be having more than 1 player on a card, dual cards. How cool would it be to have Franklin Armstrong and Corvo Havran on the same card? There are many ideas to make this a really fun part of our site, I believe we’re at the tip of the iceberg. Getting the website to function on chrome would be great, and I think viewing our collection should be modified, the way it is now isn’t great once collectors have tons of cards in their collection.
