RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - Kyamprac - 06-07-2021

This season the sim has been a little bit cruel to the Copperheads on the leaderboard, but that hasn't stopped our defense from performing ridiculously well. Our linebacker corps in particular has really stood out the last couple of seasons. Kennedy and Montain have each earned a touchdown on the season, Kennedy and Thomaslacher are tied for second in the league for sacks, and Kennedy (again) continues to shine with the highest FF/FR rate in the league with a 4/2. While we might be struggling to get our offense going, these guys have proven time and time again they're worth their weight in gold.

Off the field, several people deserve a boatload of recognition for their ongoing efforts to make Austin the amazing team that it is. First, our GMs @Amidships and @Kyle. These guys are constantly in discussions about what we can do better, both on and off the field, and keep at it despite some of the frustrating moments that come and go. Next, @Mooty99, who dumps a pile of time into sim testing for us and brings positivity, a great sense of humor, and a voice of reason to the locker room. I really don't know what we would do without him and I'm so glad to have the opportunity to play with him. Next up I have to give some recognition to the twins, @Tonzy and @RDBSouthPaw. While they've been a bit more busy of late, South continues to practice his rookie whispering ways and keep our prospects going, while Tonzy works to add his magic touch to the sim whenever he can. Finally, I have to give a shoutout to hypeman @GlimsTC, who never fails to get the locker room going on game day.. even when things haven't been going so hot.

Thank you all for everything you do for Austin.

The teammate that i have praise for is my good friend Dustin Parmalee. Dustin may not look to good with just a quick peek at stats but if you dive into it, he is actually a very good QB. He may not have the most yards or completions but that's because we are a very run heavy offence these first few weeks. But what he does have is the highest Completion percentage in the DSFL, he is 3rd in the DSFL in TDs while throwing the least amount of passes, and he has the 3rd best rating in the DSFL. Those are some really good numbers for a player that doesn't even get to show off his skills too much. But when he does get his chance he proves that he has skills and they are deadly. Not only this but Parm is a great person off the field. he is always trying to hype up the team and one of the first people i go to when needing help. I train with him all the time and the dud is one of my great friends. All of you should get familiar with the name Dustin Parmalee because pretty soon him and i will be tearing up the league and racking up those stats and records.

You're asking In Active to choose one player on the Tijuana Luchadores? One player on a team full of studs? Oh hell no.

The Tijuana Luchadores are the best damn team in the league. Every single one of In Active's teammates are absolute stellar people, and they all should be nominated for every award there is.

I will go ahead and give a special shout out to @Kotasa and @GuitarMaster116, though. They took a huge risk on grabbing In Active off the waiver wire. In Active started purely as a meme player who was going to go inactive pretty quickly, mostly created just because so many ISFL guys got picked up by Carolina in the SHL. The locker room, the teammates, the environment, and especially the constant communication from Kotasa and GM have been absolutely huge. They're easily the reason In Active is still active, and I can't thank them enough for all the support and time they've given me and worked with me on my player.

And since I still need a few more words, let's get back in character. There's one player who deserves to be pointed out on Tijuana and that's future league MVP In Active. He's a beast, and he's going to dominate on his way to helping Tijuana raise their 9th and 10th minis.

As you are well aware we half just past the halfway mark of the regular season. I have been asked to write about a teammate of Jeeeeroy Lenkins who has been absolutely bossing it up to this mark. For me it was a comeplte no brained, playing corner back for the Berlin Fire Salamanders my pick was always going to be a defensive player. If you had asked me this last season it would have been our stud rookie and now defensive captain Marlon Brando. But that is in the past now. The player I am going to be bigging up this season is our stud Linebacker Bam Bam McMullet. Quote a fitting name for a hard hitting linebacker although I do feel his parents could have added a couple more Bams in there just so actually mirrors his hard hitting style. He is second on the league in tackles with 59 only 1 less than first place. Second in the league in tackles for loss (6) which is only 1 off first which is held by a bloody nose tackle. He also has 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and 4 passes defended and has been playing lights out. I guess I am a little bit envious of Bam Bam because his numbers are insane. It also seems like linebackers are the only players on defence that consistently make plays. The rest of us are grateful to get a 3 tackle game regardless if that's dline or secondary. My next recreate won't be a defender that much is sure.

Videl doesn’t usually like to speak about teammates because she is self-ventured and usually calls out teammates who fail to do their job properly. This may give her a bad rep in the team locker room, but she still has a few nice words for a few of her current teammates. The first teammates I want to discuss are the crucial building blocks to the teams core, which are in my view, @Kyamprac , @Mooty99 , and @inverted . These three are crucial to offensive success, Watts and Jim The Vampire are key to offensive success because their one of the leagues best if not, the best backfield in the international simulation football league right now. I’m now going to drop a list full of defensive players who I think that have been a huge impact not only this season, but during last season as well, @Amidships @RESouthpaw @Tonzy @IthicaHawk @Dagumpa These 5 are the key to being successful on containing a top offense like Berlin, Sarasota, etc, to less than 30 points per game. Now, I’m going to highlight a few people who’ve made a bigger impact in the locker room, @[SlurmsMcKenzie] @KanakoTheSquirrel @JKortesi81 these people and a few more make the locker room brighter for all to see.

A season ago Xavier Walls was the Defensive Player of the Year for the DSFL, and he has immediately brought that success as a rookie linebacker in the ISFL. Although amassing stats that made a case for him having arguably the greatest season for a defensive player in the history of the DSFL, there were still doubts about how his game would translate to the big stage. After all, rookies of any position tend to struggle with the transition, even if given another year to hone their skills. However, Walls's ability to get to the ball is simply inhuman. He is currently tied for first for tackles among all defensive players with 60, a remarkable feat. You will have to look over many names before finding the next rookie on that list, Tre Mendus Johnson, who has 44 tackles. Walls has done more than tackle though. His crucial interception in the red zone was the deciding factor for Philadelphia's week 1 win against Chicago. He is certainly on track for Defensive Rookie of the Year unless his stats suddenly drop off of a cliff. He has remained an active member of the locker room, often sharing his exploits in the great outdoors. We are all greatly excited to see him getting the stats he deserves, and we hope he will remain a mainstay of the the Liberty and the "Hell's Bells" linebacker corps for a long time.

This one must be one of the easier ones for me because there are so many great people in Arizona, but I must give a shout-out to the one who got me they’re in the first place @Crunk, I’ve known Crunk pretty good since we came into the league together in the stacked S25 class that is objectively better than S22. We got along great aside from the blood bath that was that season’s awards, which is also why I do not put myself on awards committee anymore, and have theory crafted different sim testing stuff, builds, paths, strats and what not. However, I never imagined we would team up in AZ, while in FA many teams hit me up, but AZ came to the party later than most, I did not assume they would want me as they had Uni and Crunk at CB so why would they need me. I was about to make my decision when Crunk swooped from no where and sold me on Arizona. We had a great season last year, both me and the team. Now Crunk is absolutely killing it at CB2, while I do not have the stats we are doing well as a team, and he has been a monster both on the field and in the LR.

One teammate I'm very impressed with is Michael Witheblock. As our co-GM, he has done a great job alongside Frost in assembling a roster that currently sits tied atop the NSFC. We have the best point differential in the conference, and the highest-flying offense for points scored, averaging a very dank 420 yards per game. Witheblock on the field is also a key component of our defense, having made the transition from Wide Receiver to Linebacker by putting on a lot of extra muscle mass. Witheblock holds a share of the league lead in sacks with 9 in the first 8 games, and has also deflected 3 passes, forced a fumbles, and registered 4 tackles for a loss. That combined with Harrison Andrews league-leading 5 interceptions, and Sarasota's defense is also an imposing unit.

I'm also impressed by the performance of teammate Mike Boss Jr. While he struggled badly against Orange County in Week 8, he is still leading the league in completion percentage, and is reliably hitting my player (wideout Saleem Spence) for first down completions. Mike Boss also still has a good TD to INT ratio of 22:8, and seems to finally be hitting the prime of his development cycle and ascending to the pantheon of elite quarterbacks. Overall there's a lot of teammates that impress on the 6-2 Sailfish.

The Colorado Yeti are doing pretty well this season, standing currently at 6-2. There are stars on both sides of the ball, offense and defense. While I could choose to focus on someone like Yeti star quarterback Mattathias Caliban, or linebacker and defensive monster Melvin Murder-Moose, I am going to give some love to the often forgotten star. I am talking about our starting kicker and punter, Lux Opal from user @Quail. Lux is a newcomer to the team but has already made an impact. Of the six wins the Yeti currently have on the season, half have been by a field goal or less. Without Lux being there to make those kicks, the Yeti would be sitting at 3-5 instead of 6-2. In addition to their kicking prowess, their punting ability has helped pin offenses deep in their own territory where our defense can pin their ears back and make plays. While Lux is not the most active user in the locker room, every comment by them has been a kind one. I do hope they stick around and continue to earn. The Yeti are on the up and up and Lux Opal is a big part of that success. Keep your eyes peeled for them kicking the game winning field goal in the Ultimus.
