19. If your player had a show starring them, what would the plot be?

Jay Cue Jr. loves the camera, and the camera loves Cue. Everyone knows he is an integral part of american households due to his endorsement deals with a multitude of big companies, ranging from the insurance business, to the food one, to cars and to healthcare, just to name a few, so it would not be a really big surprise to see him making the jump to... soap operas for example.
He knows how to work with his face expressions, so he would be great in them. Maybe the story could be that he got kidnapped from the hospital right after he was born (before would be a stretch and a half) and raised by not so good people, and then the story would revolve on him being a successful sports personality, a savvy business man, a great family and friends man, while also struggling with the news of his life story and then trying to find his real family.
A show filled with intrigue and suspense, making Cue doubt even his closest friends and "family". Death, betrayal, giant breakfast tables where people do not eat anything there, big face closeups, i think Cue Jr. would excel on this part. Maybe it would distract him from his football stuff in real life, but looking at his career so far, i guess it would not be a big loss to the sport.

22. You’re in charge of entertainment for the Ultimus or Ultimini half-time show. What would you do?

The big game always needs big time performers, and not only on the field. So, half time show means some great singer or group doing a medley of their greatest hits, with millions spent on fireworks, with people attending the game watching from their phones as they film instead of watching everything through their own eyes. Classic boomers or millennials or whatever the generation name is.
I would take it up a notch though. While the performer was in the field, i would have helicopters landing on the field with DEA members in it, to raid the locker room and the general public to search everything for drug substances, maybe even drug performance enhancers used by the players. I am pretty sure that if this happened, the 2nd half of the game would be a big challenge to teams, only having like 20 players to choose from for plays.
Another thing i would do would be using live animals during the show, like lions and tigers, but then i would leave them there for the 2nd half. So not only the teams would have to plan for the opponents defense, but also to avoid certain areas of the field because of the animals. Great times. Challenging playbooks. Best half time show ever.

25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why?

At the time i went with running back because it seemed to be a good position for an immediate call up, having only 1 playing season in the DSFL. So that was my main thought for my recreate. Looking back, i reached the ISFL draft around 270 TPE if i remember correctly, starting the season around the 360 TPE mark in May. Looking further back, i ended Jay Cue's career as an offensive lineman and had a bit of fun with that, so i have to say that if Cue Jr. was not a RB, he would probably be playing OL.
The position has a big impact in the sim right off the bat, so i believe that as a 360ish TPE OL, the team would benefit greatly from me there as a rookie. Also, i would love to try and go for the all time pancake record, because the position would allow me to play for a long time, making the most out of Cue Jr. career.
It is a position somewhat overlooked, because it does not show up a lot during the sims, so you do not really see the real impact of your player, but i liked it. Besides, pancakes are good for you and as long as you do not allow sacks, you will be great.

12.

How bout them Outlaws?
Big whoop, so Arizona won the ASFC.  They did that last year, too.  Well after holding on for dear life at 11 wins to capture the crown in season 29, Arizona pounded the league into submission with a league high 14 wins in season 30.  After closing out season 29 with 3-straight wins to end the regular season, the Outlaws brought their regular season winning streak to a wild 12 games after reeling off 9 straight to start season 30.  Why has this team been extra unstoppable this year?  Simply put – this is one of the most balanced and lethal offenses we may ever have seen.  While 2 other quarterbacks just squeeked by the 100.0 QB rating, Charlamagne Cortez was number one with a bullet, finishing with an astonishing 113 rating.  Over 4,800 yards with a 41:10 td:int ratio is bonkers.  And does Cortez spread it around.  AZ was the only team to have 2 receivers in the 1,400+ yard club.  They were also the only team to have two running backs in the 600+ yard club for receiving yards.  The nuke being Captain Darren Pama, who finished with a supernatural 17.8 yards per catch, easily good for #1 in the league.  While running back Nakamura will likely not be winning many individual accolates this year…for once…it was only because he consented to splitting carries with Deadly Memes.  The two combined to lead the league in rushing yards, yards per carry, and touchdowns.  Not to go unmentioned is the offensive line, lead by Julio Jones, that finished second in total pancakes.
It's clear that the only was this team will lose, is if they just get edged out in a track meet.  While the defense is no slouch, it can be beaten.  Arizona’s front core of Miller and Callaghan are a run-stuffing duo, and linebacker Burfict is a wrecking ball in the backfield, but if you can get outside on this team, there are avenues to points.  The Outlaws did not make a ton of big plays, finishing near the league bottom in fumbles recovered and interceptions, while also being the only team without a defensive touchdown on the year.  Their 299 points against were a league-best, so there’s no getting around the fact that they are a nightmare to play against, but it’s not because they will turn you over all day.  They just do their job.
A look at the two Outlaw losses don’t speak much for keys to beat them.  Against the Sabercats, the Outlaws fell behind 38-0, but seemingly may have come back had they been given the time, as they scored the final 21 points of the game.  If you’re banking on jumping out to 4 score lead against the Outlaws…well good luck.

Against the Copperheads, well Austin simply forced the Outlaws into a rock fight.  Something no other team was able to do.  Nothing really jumps out on the stat sheet other than Arizona losing the turnover battle with one interception.
It looks pretty clear that, unless you come up against AZ and play your cleanest game in franchise history, AND jump out to a 2+ score lead early, you’re probably not going to stop this team from winning the S30 Ultimus.

14.

Ok so I’m starting to feel like a bit of a downer these days.  A lot of complaining about my player.  This really was brought to light after I read a post by a former teammate, giving me credit for my build but mentioning he mostly only sees me when he comes across my media posts bemoaning my stats for the year.  And he’s right.  Even despite winning breakout defensive player of the year last season, I still spent some time dwelling on how I wasn’t a unanimous all pro and how I did not win defensive tackle of the year.  Well ya know what? This season knocked me down several pegs from last year, so I’m going to stick to what I do and know best – and that’s bitching about my stats and my teams’ sim luck!

So yeah.  Season 29.  80 tackles, including 11 tackles for a loss.  For a defensive freaking tackle.  What a season.  I had finally hit my stride I thought, It’s all roses from here I thought.  Season 30.  51 tackles, good for 8th amongst defensive tackles.  Only 7 tackles for a loss…not bad, still tied for third.  But again, only 4 sacks.  Good for a tie for 7th amongst defensive tackles.  Factor in 2 forced fumbles and a safety and honestly, it’s a pretty decent season.  Nevertheless, a far cry from the backfield disruptor of the previous year.  While I had expected to take a slight step back, stat-wise, in Season 30 – due to both sim logic and the defense around me improving and making more plays individually – I still expected to be in range of defensive tackle of the year.  Oh well, as I had told my manager after season 29, I’d gladly take a step back on the stat sheet if it meant more team success.  Nope.  Can’t have that, either.  After a promising finish to S29, the Liberty – projected by most to be fighting for a playoff spot – was tied for the worst record in the league at 4-12.  302 point-for was by far the worst mark in the league.  While the defense was largely pedestrian, at least it was that.  Without getting much help from the other side of the ball, one could say the defense played admirably.  Individual performances were still there, with Goodman tallying 14 sacks and cornerbacks Sonjack and Fieri holding their own.  So while I’m going to continue to spit sour grapes at the sim on a personal and team level – there’s hope for season 31!  Afterall, it’s Philly’s time to shine.  Our TPE is up, our roster is balanced.  We couldn’t possibly get hosed by the sim yet again…right?

Tier 2 Question 7: This task is exclusive to recreate/non-recreate rookies of the S31 class and later.

My experience in the league has been great. I found the league in an online forum and it was something I was interested in (especially in the NFL offseason go WFT). It took me around half an hour to figure out how to navigate the pages and how to create a character.I actually really enjoy the layout of the website because once I got the hang of which tabs are for which purpose it wasn’t too bad.  I selected a power RB because I’ve always admired the big boys and their physical toughness. Players like Derrick Henry on the Tennessee Titans or Jim Brown on the Cleveland Browns. I named my character John Riggins after the Redskins RB legend and superbowl MVP. Most of the fun so far has been trying to acquire as much TPE as possible before the upcoming Draft and interacting with different teams and players from around the league- as well as my rookie mentor. I started my build with a pretty general statline, trying to keep everything semi even. I'm not sure this was a great strategy in the long run, if i was to go back I would focus more on speed and strength however I am quickly pouring points into both. I also currently have low “Hands' ' sitting at around 40 so I'm hoping that won't lead to too many offensive fumbles, I'm going to focus on that statline next to ensure I'm not a liability to whichever team drafts me. So far I have not been drafted as I created my account 2 days ago, however I am looking forward to both the drafts and the sims. To be honest I'm not quite sure how the draft goes, however I am building TPE to try and ensure a spot in a roster., I heard on september 1st there will be a “rookie” game (??) of sorts so I will be sure to check that out as well. During my 2 day experience so far I have no negative feedback to give any leads in the league yet, however I might come back and edit my post if anything comes to mind. As for positive feedback, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me figure this out. I would also like to give kudos to the members in discord who helped me decide on my build and what I needed to improve. Looking forward to eventually winning the cup!

Tier 3 Question 16: This task is exclusive to recreate/non-recreate rookies of the S31 class and later.

I would like to think I bring a lot to any potential team that is looking to draft me, I currently may not have the highest amount of TPE but all of the TPE I have is certainly going into the correct attributes to improve my player and turn him into the best power running back possible. I am currently sitting at 70 Str, 51 Agility, 64 speed and 60 endurance. I can promise you these attributes will go up quickly as I plan on being very active in the league. I have completed all the rookie challenges as well as the wikipedia page to ensure my stat line trends upward. Outside of the ISFL I am very friendly and outgoing on discord, and love good banter, especially about the NFL. I am looking forward to joining a chat and watching the ISFL stream with the team.  I plan on becoming a midfield menace touchdown machine and as time passes by, creating a lasting legacy in the ISFL. To any potential teams reading this message- take a chance on me in the upcoming draft. I will not disappoint you! If you are missing a PWR RB I am the man for you.

Tier 3 Question 22:
My ideal halftime show would consist of 3 parts. Part one would be a live concert featuring artists and bands: Metallica, Kanye West, Jay Z and Johnny Cash. They would be tasked to create a song together for this event and to be honest I just kinda wanna hear what they would come up with. Part two would be quite crucial- smoke machines and lights. I would Have Kanye West descend from the rooftop of the stadium while runaway plays, Johnny Cash ride in on horse, Metallica jump out from the audience after fighting some fans, and JayZ walk through smoke at the entrance. While they perform, the third part of the halftime show will commence. The NFL’s Dallas Cowboys starting defence would perform basic defensive drills for the crowd so they have something to laugh at while the concert plays. I think through this combination of humor and music we would surely be able to keep the crowd entertained while the teams get their halftime break inside the locker rooms. Other suggestions with outside agencies in the NFL could include: Daniel Jones 100m sprint, Nelson Agholor catch competition, Dwayne Haskins dumpster diving! But overall to keep it simple, I just think anything with Kanye would be better than anything we have seen in the past.

9. Through a random lottery drawing, you have been named the league's new commisioner for a day. Congrats! What improvements would you make to the league if you had the power to do whatever you wanted?

If I was the commisioner for a day I would implement something that would change up the way contracts work and the money tied to contracts work.
Currently there is no real need for a lot of players to take anything but the minimum for contracts to help the team with the budget and to enable the team to get as many top players as possible to help gun for the title.
By adding some TPE and special attributes, for example: increased max stats, special talents that can only be bought with contract money, better equipment that gives more TPE than the current top tier.
The money would be tied to the player, so once a player is retired, that is it, the money is lost and every new player starts with 0 i contract money.
The new currency, would give the players that want to max earn and make their player as good as possible the opportunity to stand out by buying some traits, stats or other benefits that the average player will not be able to achieve. This would give us some true superstars that actually stand out compared to the rest.
This would also make the Free agency market more open and sought after, by chasing a bigger contract in the early days of your career to enable you to grow your player. At the end of the career, we would see the cap friendly contracts that we also see in real pro sports where a player wants to chase a ring.
Of course it would have to be regulated and capped, so you can't just rotate your players for each year by giving maximum to one or a few players every season. A cap that would be in relation to both the minimum salary on the team as well as the contract tier you are currently on.

The most expensive of the upgrades would not be obtainable after only 1 season with a good contract, you would have to save up over a few season to get the truly pro player attributes.

I feel that this would remove the risk of super teams we run now where everyone just takes minimum, as well as forcing General Managers and War room members to think about how to build the teams for each season.
Sure, a negative would be a lot of players would not be able to reach those levels, but that is the way in the real world as well. Additionally it would allow the truly dedicated players to really stand out and feel like their player is the hottest player on the market, making teams go after them if and when they would reach the Free Agency market.

30. The ISFL Players Association was established a few seasons back, and while it is not as prominent now, it was a very interesting idea. What are your thoughts on a player union to help vote on rule proposals?
As mentioned in the prompt this is a very interesting idea and one that should be explored further. While I understand we can't have everyone part of the decision process or nothing would ever get done. A player union would be a good way for the players that don't want to be part of Head Office or take on too many responsibilities bar the rules that will affect us all.
Going with a player union with fixed terms for everyone involved would be good to ensure it is not getting stale like Head Office is sometimes blamed of being. Giving the Head of the player union a max term of 5 seasons and the members a max term of 3 would ensure there's a constant turn over of players part of the union and get a chance to vote on the new rules.
If there is a lack of applications you would have to open it up for people to apply again, but to ensure the workload is light and many people apply it should be a relatively well paid job with very little time committment needed.
If the player union is done correctly I think it is a great opportunity for the average player to feel more involved in how the league is run and should remove some of the anti Head Office chat you often see thrown around

31. The World Football Association was established last season and is currently playing out for the first time. What do you think about the WFC as a whole and how it has been shaping out. Do you think it will end up a success?
I think this will be a great thing for the league, something for everyone to look forward to during the off season as well as for the players that have not made the playoffs or are knocked out early.
The format has great potential and should the league and the players embrace it and really put on a good show that will drive the engagement.
One thing I have noticed that took away from the engagement already was the lack of a centralized place for the rosters to be announced and posted, we have a section for the World Football Championships, if the rosters were published there for each team it would be easier for everyone to see if they were selected and also to see the teams overall and to have an idea on how each team will stack up.
As with most of the scheduling for streams, it is on a bad time for the Europeans, which does make it more difficult to be engaged and invovled in the tournament.
Adding a pre-match stream or talk show to hype up and have some discussion about the upcoming games would be a good idea to help people get involved and get the feel for each team in the tournament.
To conclude if it is a success or not, will fully depend on if it gets the exposure and attention it needs, both in the form of media and the streams!

13. Expansion Expansion Expansion! The league seems to love talking about it, but it has still not happened. Tell us why it should happen / should not happen soon?

The Case For League Expansion: 16 teams is a much rounder and nicer number than 14 teams, making the league better for an aesthetic standpoint. 16 teams also justifies an 8 team playoff format, unlike 14 where the league seems to not want to award middling teams with a possible first round upset chance. It would also enable the league to expand to new big population locales to increase fictional television revenue and prestige. Ohio, Seattle, and Charlotte would make good spots for a team, or perhaps the league could consider going for more international flair with a team in England, Japan, or Australia. Also, it would be a good way to normalize the league a bit, and get some top teams to stop hoarding its top players (assuming that is a thing people care about in this league.)

The Case Against League Expansion: While 16 teams is a nice number, its not something the league should strive for yet. As it stands, there is very little depth even among top teams in the league, so expansion drafts would be eating into starting caliber players for a lot of teams. The IFA free agent depth in this league is nothing to speak of really, probably a lot of DSFL-level, 300 TPE flotsam and jetsam. Even if the expansion teams were somehow good and could pick 2 from each team, those 2 holes would not be easily filled by a lot of teams, thus forcing them to plug the gap with substandard players that warp performance. This may force teams to raid DSFL teams further for talent, and thats a big problem because the DSFL is in a shaky position of its own for depth, with few teams over the years being able to field 11 quality players on either side of the ball.

Perhaps the league could consider adding ISFL GM Bots, some 600-700 TPE fillers to be used in emergencies to ensure teams don't just have burnt toast factories in one random position on the field. It could also enhance defensive flexibility, as there are some teams playing a 4-3 or a 3-4 who might want to run a 3-3-5, but can't find the defensive personnel to complete the jigsaw. Being able to give teams a couple different looks would be nice. Also, the league can go eight playoff teams with 14 teams in the league if they wanted to. Most of the 4 seeds come close to making the playoffs, or finish a respectable 8-8. I think this league could go 8 teams, and if there is a first seed upset, hey, that happens sometimes in real life too.

17. Your team has announced that they will be laying ground on a new stadium next season. What additions would you like to see included in it. No graphics option available here.

I would want my team to first of all, make sure the sponsor isn't objectionable. I am not sure if something like Comcast Field or Huawei Stadium or something like that exists IRL, but we need a sponsor that is not ethically objectionable to name our field after.

Second of all, the sponsor needs to make some degree of sense for a name. Something like Tropicana Field for the MLB's Tampa Rays is alright, because the name sounds like something you could give to a field even if Tropicana wasn't a company. It'd be a natural name for the Hahaluas stadium, for example. So whatever corp sponsor we pick is key.

For a new stadium, I'd like the field to be either natural grass, or some form of artificial turf that doesn't shorten careers. The infamous AstroTurf caused many injuries and wear and tear due to the harsh surface, so we would want a surface that has durability in extreme weather conditions, but isn't so durable that it refuses to give whenever a linebacker spears a running back into it.

Finally, I'd like to remove the ESPN-reserved press box, and force them to cover shows in the parking lot. They really don't deserve the right to cover any sport at the moment, so screw em.

25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why?

I would have likely picked Running Back. For me, I wanted to play offense over defense and kicker, because offense is easier to write about, as it feels easier to make a tangible impact on the field, as opposed to defense where you can have a couple sacks or an interception, but actually play badly due to getting burned on a dozen unnoticed plays. Plus, I was told it was hard to make an iconic LT-style pass rush threat, due to the increased quality of offensive line bots and the hard times teams had generating proper pressure. (It's probably also hard to make a Revis Island-style corner as well.)

So for offense, while offensive line is nice and important, it's also hard to write about because its a position you never notice unless things are going horribly wrong. Quarterback was out, due to the fact that players are regularly dissuaded from playing QB due to a positional glut. Tight End was out due to the position lacking as much big play impact as real life, where a superstar tight end can achieve better numbers than most receivers because of their destructive power overwhelming linebackers and safeties. So it was Wide Receiver or Running Back, and I chose Wide Receiver on the theory that teams would pass more like the real NFL. IF Wide Receiver wasn't available, I would've picked Running Back to be able to write about my player easier, with a tangible idea of what he was doing.

14. Describe your player and/or team’s journey through this latest season. What were the highlights? What were the lower points? What might you have done differently? What are your expectations for next season?

This season was an interesting one for the Bondi Beach Bucs. Season 29 was a stinker, which granted them the first overall pick in the s31 draft, and  with that they brought in Ken Oath, was he a bust or did he live up to the expectation. Lets take a look and see! Well lets start off looking at the team as a whole, the Buc finished at 6-8 which was an improvement from last season, but in my honest opinion I think this tea, should have been playoff bound. They had a few tough games against Tijuana and and really lost some close ones that could have gone either way. Anyways lets get back to Ken, his stat line this year was pretty mediocre in 14 games he only racked up 640 yards and 5 touchdowns. That seems like a bit of a let down for a #1 pick, the #2 overall pick, Sconnie McKicks lead the league in tackles this year, something the bucs really could have used with their sub-par defensive performance. Now I think a lot of this criticism should come with a grain of salt as Tron Carter was still the #1 back and Zayrlen and Tentacles throwing and catching passes respectively was the game plan for most games and they really executed well. The real test for Oath will come next season when likely Zayrlen, Carter and Tentacles are all gone so the offense will need a leader and star to carry the team forward. Overall I think Ken wasn't a full bust but I think fans should be expecting a lot in s31 from him. There are rumblings that he may slot into a different role but only time will tell. The highlight of this season, other than Zayrlen and Oaths impressive performance, was that of rookie waiver claim pick-up Tony Demonson, he racked up 960 yards- good for 70 YPG as well as found the endzone ten times which is a pretty big feat, considering the other weapons on this team. The aforementioned Tentacles, Ketoni Staggs, Travis Scott, all were touted as being big receivers and Demonson really flew under the radar and proved himself to be a sneaky threat this season. You might have noticed a lot of this was offense based and I think that is what Bondi should be proud of moving forward, they have a lot of depth in the RB, WR dept so as long as a QB falls into place and a OL is available in the draft they should be in business, the other side of the ball is a bit different as they will be losing some key pieces but some of the defensive picks made in s30 may step up and have a busy offseason training.

9. Through a random lottery drawing, you have been named the league's new commisioner for a day. Congrats! What improvements would you make to the league if you had the power to do whatever you wanted?

If I were commish for the DSFL I would make a number of improvements so that, I and maybe a few others would have the best experience ever. Firstly, each team gets to create 5 multi accounts so that they can fill in important positions- the catch is that GMs cannot fill these roles, so you would need to trust your players to assume this role- if the main user goes IA the multi account can be reorganized to a different user after the season. I think this provides a bit more fun for newer users and allows them to test out multiple positions or builds. At the end of the season the multi account stays or gets deleted so that there is room for another next season or they just need to fill a different hole. The next thing I'm changing is the schedule- DSFL every weekday. Nobody likes ISFL, lets have games everyday and have a 20 game season or so, or throw in a few byes to make it 16 or 17 games. I cant tell you how many times I've wished that I could tune in to wind down after a long day or just wanted something to look forward to tune in to. The best thing about ISFL is the auto-scrub feature from YouTube and having that quick access to VODs is really a nice advantage compared to other sim leagues- lets max out the fun though and have games everyday! The last change I would make would be to contract the league- it seems like there are far too many IAs and bots- a league of 6 teams all in one division would work perfect- this kind of interferes with my first suggestion but this contraction is a failsafe in case we get more IAs due to people not interested in playing out of position. I'm not sure if this is too common but having a platoon quarterback, especially when both are capped should be more prevalent. I guess it would devalue some awards but it should be fun to watch and root on your 1st string and second string players. I may be alone in this but we could use some QB controversy here and have some more stacked defenses with a boat load of actives, I love nail biter, low scoring games, no more 45-36 wins, I want 14-10 grinders! That's my spiel if I was named commish for a season, I'm sure everyone would hate me but I would certainly have a lot of fun playing an watching my little experiment play out!

(2.5 TPE) 19. If your player had a show starring them, what would the plot be?
If Doc had a show... Based on his story and where he came from it would have to be a docu series following his journey into the league. There would be interviews from his small town friends and neighbors, his ex high school sweetheart, Delilah Joe. Some with his father, if he is sober enough to talk, or even if he isn’t. They could track down his mother and talk to her about why she left her father for a carnie. Doc’s journey has been a tough one. I am thinking it would be a lot like the show All American but instead of following a group of kids it’s just about Doc and his journey.  The hope is that he gets drafted to an underdog team and learns about family and what it’s like to feel a sense of belonging on his new team. Helping them all to grow and become a successful franchise. Doc has never had that in his life and it took him a lot to pull away from his roots and watch it all fade away. The show would be a great way to watch his journey unfold, even if it ends in a ditch with a bottle in his hand.

(2.5 TPE) 22. You’re in charge of entertainment for the Ultimus or Ultimini half-time show. What would you do?
I think that people are tired of the same old halftime shows with concerts. I would like to make it more engaging for the larger audience. That’s why I will stand by this, I believe there needs to be a giant game of Kahoots! At half time. This would be a great opportunity to have everyone participate in the show and have everyone stick around. The Kahoots could be about stats, history of the games, different players' bios, about the league, just different questions that would keep people engaged. There could be a winner or a top 3 winners bracket depending on if it's for the Ultimis or the Ultimini there could be a virtual cash payout, some gear payout, possible TPE payout for winners or top 3 with the highest score. It’s got to be about engagement and monetary value. The ability to bring people together to compete even without them being in the game takes it to the next level of pride and ownership. Bring the people watching at home into the game and let them participate. That’s what I would do if I was in charge of the entertainment for the Ultimus and Ultimini Half- Time show.

(2.5 TPE) 25. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why?
I am fairly confident that I picked the right position for my player. I think it’s a good fit for who I am as a person and it fits the style that I used to play. If I had to repick though I would stick with defense. I firmly believe that defense wins championships, I would look more at the CB or Safety route for my player though. I don’t personally have the speed to play those positions but I do think that there is so much potential to take over a game from those positions. They are very much make or break gaming positions. If you have poor players at either position there is not a lot of room to make up for it. If a CB or a Safety gets beat it could switch the flow of the game completely. However, if you have a great CB or S, they get an interception or stop a huge play,  the game goes in your favor. If you can shut down an offense, like a good offense that is firing on all cylinders it can deflate the entire mentality of the other team, it can make them rethink their decisions, their game plan, all of it.

(2.5 TPE) 26. Football is a game that has been going on for a while, loved by fans all over. But what if you were able to make some rule changes? Talk us through your new version of football, and what would be different and why?
There isn’t much that I would change about the game. I remember growing up watching the games with my grandpa, moving to the states when I was 6 and my dad getting me a Niners pennant. After that I was hooked. I love the game to love the game. If I had to make it more interesting I think I would change the way that OT is played. Don’t get me wrong I love extra football, I get so excited when I thought I was going to get just a couple hours and they added on a couple more. The issue I think by then is all the players are tired and injuries have a chance of increasing. I think it would be interesting if you put it all on one player. Or a couple of players. For example, run an Oklahoma drill to see who the winner is. I also think it would be interesting if you put it all on the kicker. Each kicker starts off at the 10 yard line of the field, for every make they move back 10 yards, the first player to miss completely loses the game for their team. Have them run a relay with the fastest players on the team to see who can win. I just think it would put an interesting twist on the game. It’s just a thought though, I love to watch football and like I said I like to get extra football. It just isn't as fun when you see that 1 tie game on your team's record at the end of the season.

9. Well, of course, the first thing I'd do as the new commissioner of the International Simulation Football League would be to extend my stay as the commissioner of the International Simulation Football league indefinitely. A day is not long enough. In one day, I'm probably gonna do sim league stuff for like 1-2 hours tops, unless it's close to the draft or before a major stream. I'd probably give myself, I dunno...2 weeks? I'll probably get bored after that. But let me talk about what I will do within that time. First off, I'd fire the rest of HO. I can't win with those cats. I would keep abh though as he's a pretty cool dude. I would then fill out the rest of head office with people I know I can trust: the members of the Chicago Kingpins war room. So @MN_Moosey, @Bauer, @supertardis101, Canthereon, Sarah, and Dom (they don't have accounts here) will be the new HO. We'd, of course, spend all of our administrative time talking about how we think the sim is deliberately screwing over the Kingpins and benefiting solely the Hepcats. And then we'd realize that we also control some other league or whatever. So let's get down to business with that.

First off, I would give the DSFL full secession rights from the ISFL. I think they have the materials and interest to be their own league. Plus, I know a lot of people who'd rather just stay in the DSFL their entire career. So, why not make it it's own league altogether? I'd then create a league suggestion box. It won't be a joke thing like it was in the PBE. I will confirm its legitimacy by, every week, running a podcast where I read EVERY complaint sent in. Yes, that will include the troll questions or people spamming "21-3" or other assorted memes. I will give a dignified response to each complaint and will explain in the most eloquent of ways why I will make no progress on the matter. I'd then do some "actual stuff" like making the regular season 20 games because football is random and running 16 games in a simulation engine is kinda infuriating. And then I'd extend regression by about a season or two. After that, I'm probably done. I'll step down and vacate all of the league offices and guardposts. This will happen just in time for the GSFA tanks to roll in, led by one piratecaptaindom, to take full control over the ISFL and set up a, soon to be, permanent military regime. Then on the next commissioners podcast, Dom will take up two boxes. And that will be pretty funny.

21. I don't know if I'm in the majority or minority on this position, but I love the new sim. I think it's really just swell and dandy. And that's not me being sarcastic. You can usually tell if I'm being sarcastic because my nose will turn orange. But anyway, the new sim has done wonders for the ISFL. For starters, players are no longer sitting at the max amount of TPE they can put into their player for their last 2 or so seasons before regression. Traits have been a lot of fun. While I'm still not 100% sure if they make any difference on the sim, I am happy that people are no longer banking their updates at 1200 TPE. Getting a lot of a certain stat is now also harder. I remember when Dex Kennedy broke the all-time, single season tackles record in S24. Nobody really batted an eye since he broke a record that had previously been broken the season prior and was probably a curio of the 16 game schedule. But guess what? Nobody's broken the record since. And it's become even harder to do so with the new sim. So I am damn happy that the new sim exists. Also, Dex Kennedy holds 2 different all-time, single season records. The man should be HOF.

Task 7:

Write about my first season in the league. Well alright. I'll start back in the beginning, I joined on a whim the same day it just so happened that Jimi joined the PBE so he helped me and I helped him is getting used to and learning our way around the forums that either one of us knew best. PBE for myself ISFL for Jimi. It was a great start to the the Rookie Mentor intern giving me a nice helping hand while I was giving him the same and it shows the good relationship between PBE and ISFL folks and sim leagues as a whole that I like so much.

I asked around to a couple of people where could I succeed with a mid earning to mid high earning career. I know I couldnt have been QB or RB or anything like that but I could sure play SOMETHING. Well I could I got recommended (and guessed) O-line, didnt seem like a lot of attributes needed to be upgraded to get solid and get rolling and that turned out to happen.

I had no idea what to think when I got drafted to Portland other than, well maybe this will go okay. Simo just got drafted there and LSUFAN maybe a new GM but I still like the guy so hey, at least they have people there I do/will like. I joined the LR and found C9VAN who I enjoy and then quickly got orders from Zeagle on build (at my request) and started chatting with him. I love Zeagle the guy is awesome, if some day he ever becomes a ISFL GM im going to play for him.

Portland has been great this year honestly. We made the playoffs and have a fun locker room, its nice to meet new people and have a great Portland experience like I had a great KCH experience in PBE. I am so much more relaxed over here it is refreshing. I update every week and have written two media's because i was stupidd bored and you guys dont pay contracts that are anything here. I like/want to play for Portland now and in the future. We shall see how it all goes post Zeagle but im gonna stay this player.

Improvements:

Dear god please I dont care if @bex starts selling merch to pay gold for it. Get me a damn player updater like we have for PBE. Sweet jesus it makes life so much easier when it comes to updating and it is beautifully simple and I don't have to add TPE in my head and possibly get it wrong because I updated my player and then went, aw crap I didnt add that 5 that just showed up late to my total and my bank is off now

Peeps, if you are gonna update on Saturday, do you mind not releasing everything so late in the week? It is somewhat annoying to basically HAVE to wait for Friday. Last couple of weeks I have updated on my Thursday off from IRL work and only claimed like 12 TPE. then Friday came the rest.

Also again, I am a mid earner andd dont want league jobs or a ton of media so Bex while I got you here. Can you please pay the damn rookies something. Jesus.

Task 18

The best of the last draft class to Portland as far as teammate goes is obvious to me and no Simo it is not you and much as you prolly think it should be it is CPT Goosar easy. Zeagle was looking for someone to hand out gameballs each week and make GFX for our best performers on offense and defense each week and he has done it and they look great and he puts in the effort and posts them pretty dang timly for doing 4 a week or whatever precisly it is. We all appreciate the gameball and even though im an OL so im never gonna get one (of course) I still appreciate it and it helps me keep better track of who did the best that week because the DSFL/ISFL index is poo and the sim is burning poo.

There are more parts to Goosar. He like me has after just one season wound up in the Portland War Room to help LSU and the New GM scout and trying to make this team better for the future. He is also honestly the guy who carries the locker room along with Simo, Van and the alumns. But in the locked player only locker room he is one of my favorite teammates. Most of the others are grizzeld sim vets and he is bright eyes and bushy tailed. Nothing wrong with being a sim vet but Cpt reminds me of my favorite Hepcats.

Task 32: https://simulationhockey.com/showthread.php?tid=118812&pid=3094416#pid3094416

Task 30: A player union is important in any league, and is something that I know has been a topic of discussion for a few months in the SHL. Letting players have a hand in each and every decision is super important even just from a player retention standpoing. Now i dont actually know how this union works, so I am going to say that if the union Isnt made up of one representative from each team, as voted on by the team each season, which then all work together with a union head who is charged with representing the union in all HO discussions, then its being done wrong. If what I had just outlined is infact how it is done however, then I would say that the league is doing a bang up job that should be taken note of around the sim league community. I also think that this player union should also have the power to be able to make suggestions to HO for vote. The way I see this working out is, say a random player comes up with an idea they think is super smart, they bring it to their rep, who then brings it to all the reps who then go and tell their team about it. The union reps then vote on it based on the team response, and if it passes, it gets brought to HO.

29: OK so I am an Simulation Major Junior Hockey League General Manager, I only have say in ONE award, and its literally designed to be a homer award, like tell us about one player in your lockerroom and why you love them. otherwise ALL of the awards (and even to a degree that one) are handled by a dedicated awards committee. Their entire job is to understand each award, why its awarded, who its been awarded to in the past, and why they specifically won it. Thats their job, this committee is designed to be impartial so that its not a total popularity contest, and if in the event that a total bullshit award is given, they are punished. This means that awards are awarded fairly, and that there is some level of accountability for awards each season. Now I am brand new to this league, I dont know what constitutes as good, but I do know football to a degree (my brother played both Oline and Dline for a number of years) there was a dsfl rookie, clifford wilson who broke the season record for pancakes by 25, and has even ended the season with 99 pancakes and zero sacks allowed, thats fucking impressive, and if he doesnt win something because you dont have a dedicated awards committee, I will be shocked.

27: Ok time for me to be a complete newbie to the league (my last player doesnt count and we all know it). A number of these branding are down right weird, like... Why? As such it really narrows down my options, though if GMs would like to reach out to me and explain their... interesting decisions, I love to learn. As such my favourite branding is the New York Silverbacks. Why? Well first and foremost I would die for Platanocat, and yes that does in fact impact my ultimate decision. Secondly I am a MAJOR nerd for the Kaijuverse, and the New York Silverbacks is a VERY obvious nod to King Kong. If that had no play in the naming of the team, then I say to them, dont fucking draft me, you snakes. BUT I have no doubt its a nod at Kong. I think more teams should be named after Kaiju I mean whats more cool than a plasma breathing giant lizard, a 3 headed dragon, or a moth... ok well maybe not mothra I guess. I also like the Colorado Yeti as it does not feel wildly overplayed (Im looking at you Anaheim) but they simply cant beat the King (Kong).
