I think it delays it. A contract still has to be signed with an NSFL team before being sent back down. It does get rid of "this is my team" though. So yeah, I guess it solves the majority of this.

Totally agree. This is the real problem, if you don't want to play for a team just PM the GM and let them know.

Yeah I think that's the biggest thing. Maybe prospects that are signed as free agents don't get access to the LR?
Going forward though I think you'd expect teams to be signing less prospect free agents as we get more players and rosters get more filled up, no?

In a league that encourages hold outs you have to have good PR about your team, ESPECIALLY given that there are trolls constantly spreading misinformation about us.

I don't know how it's going to work in the future. I don't think they can sign these rookies as free agents anyways. They go to the DSFL and get a LR there. Then they're drafted by NSFL teams that own their rights.

Starting in S4, at least from my understanding, is that no NSFL will have access to waiver players that are waiting for their draft. They will instead go to the DSFL.
The only waivers for NSFL teams will be already drafted free agents.

I think that's the root of the problem. We drop guys in LRs and let them settle onto teams only to say "You'll probably have to leave your friends and potentially go to Vegas." With the exception of the few guys that aren't as "loyalty" focused, that creates a recipe for disaster
