I couldn't find you on the lists when I voted for top LB If I were mean, I would tell you that he used his high agility to run away  . But I'm not, so I won't. Taken with the number 2 overall pick in the S3 Draft, King knew that once again there would be great expectations placed on him to perform, and that it was up to him to prove his GMs right. King hit the weight room relentlessly in the off season, continually building muscle while also working on agility exercises to try and give him the edge over opposing teams' offensive linemen. When he wasn't in the gym, King could be found not only watching his own film to improve from that, but also studied the offenses of each NSFL team, filling out his own scouting reports. He feels this will give him the edge in the upcoming season, as he'll better be able to read those he'll have to get past in order to make tackles. King also made sure to develop good communication with his fellow Outlaws Defensemen, so that they could better coordinate against opposing offenses. King's mental game is as strong as ever, as going into his true rookie season, he's already been a champion and understands the effort it takes to get there. (S3) - Weekend PT #1 - Off-Season - kcheng686 - 09-09-2017 After being drafted, Samuel Zhang is more focused than ever. In the offseason, he will be focusing mostly on cornerback and wide receiver drills. He will be working first on comeback/Hitch drills to help him backpedaling, Open-Hip Comeback/Hitch Breaks to help his turning for when a wide reciever breaks his route. He will also be working on 45, 90, post, corner, Open-Hip Post, and Dig Route breaks, so his coverage off of the line is scrimmage will be superior. He would never forget to work on drop and read assisted sprints, mirror drills, turn drills, and of course, one-on-ones. Of course Zhang would never forgot to keep his wide reciever drills sharp. He will be working on the quick feet explosion drill, the find the laces drill, the hand position drill, the band arm drill, the ladder and catches drill, and the game like catches drill. This way, he will be able to keep his ball catching ability and breaking ability strong, which will be useful for both a wide receiver and a corner back. He will also be running routes from the Outlaws playbook and watching a shitton of film to help his route running ability as a wide receiver and make better reads as a cornerback (S3) - Weekend PT #1 - Off-Season - 7hawk77 - 09-09-2017 This off-season, Dan decided to go back home to New Orleans from San Jose. He decided to get back to basics. He stayed with his parents, played video games and worked out. He wanted to get a bit stronger for the next season but he also needed to unwind. Other than just playing games, he decided to meet back up with a bunch of old friends from town. They decided that it would be fun to go out and party. They started uptown and went bar hopping while raiding the street car. Over time they made their way downtown and ended up on bourbon. They decided to spend some time at Pat O Brien's piano bar, which was great fun until a friend that had a bit too much to drink knocked over a table. After that Dan decided that he was probably ready to head home. A few friends decided to hit up some strip-clubs on bourbon but Dan wasn't feeling the tourist trap today. With a few weeks remaining in the off-season, he started to step up his work outs, mostly focusing on sleep, working out and video games when his body is too sore to go any more. He then bid his family goodbye, flew back to San Jose and prepared for the next chapter... 218 words (S3) - Weekend PT #1 - Off-Season - BrotherP - 09-09-2017 ![]() (S3) - Weekend PT #1 - Off-Season - ralams123 - 09-09-2017 This off season Jonathan King worked his tail off, he was a 5th round draft pick and was working hard to prove that he has what it takes to be a starter in the NSFL. He woke up early every day and started off with a 5 mile run after that he would go to the weight room which was like a second home, he was there in the morning and at night every day. Jonathan spent his afternoons hanging with friends and teammates at home beating them in any and all games that he owned. After that he would watch and study game film on other teams to see what their working with and also film on himself to see what he needs to do to improve his skill. When he wasn't hanging with friends or doing his own personal training Jonathan was working hard with the Otters during team practice making friends with his teammates and forming a much needed chemistry that will definitely show during the regular season. Overall the off season was all hard work and dedication for Jonathan, he has a lot to prove in his rookie year and he wants to let teams know that he is going to be a force in this league for a while. (214 Words) (S3) - Weekend PT #1 - Off-Season - HalfEatenOnionBagel - 09-09-2017 This offseason, Micah Hendrix knew that it was crucial to make sure that he and the rest of the offensive line would be ready for the upcoming season after an embarrassing performance as one of the worst oline units in the league during season 2. Adam Bennett volunteered to host the offensive line at his Alma mater USC where they could train, work out and game plan for the upcoming season. Preparing for how to integrate new rookie linemen into their scheme was also an important part of their planning. Their training focused on conditioning as well as extensive film study of blocking schemes and assignments. Hendrix also took some time to relax and spend time with his family who lives in California, especially his grandmother who has always been a source of inspiration for him. He had not seen most of them since before he had been drafted so it was a nice reunion. Having spent some time relaxing, but a ton of time training, Hendrix and the others returned to Philly to meet up with the team before the draft and meet the new rookies. The line is definitely shaping up to be much better this season and offseason training and bonding such as this is a big part of that improvement. Because of his transition from a speed receiver to a tight end Connor Tanner figured he would be asked by his team to attend the DSFL this upcoming season, and Connor Tanner knew what he would need to do to dominate the competition in the DSFL and win the praises of his coach and general manager during the course of the season. In order to further prepare himself for the rigours of a 14 week season, he has added on 15 pounds to his frame and increased his speed and strength in order to allow himself to out run defenders and break tackles to earn valuable yards after contact. His transition to tight end in the off season may prove to be a challenging one but ultimately his goal remains the same, and that is the be the best at his position that there has ever been. This has become even more viable with the positional change made earlier this off season by the leagues current best tight end, and while Connor Tanner is saddened by his mentor leaving the position, the possibilities it opens up are absolutely limitless.
