Sim Access - Bzerkap - 09-18-2017

Ok so I'll give a bit of background to this whole thing first.

I had been using the demo version of the sim the whole time because I did not know about the season limit. I assumed that the online mode was the full mode that you paid for but you could do single player stuff on your PC just fine with the demo. Considering we had just simmed two whole seasons without a single message to me via the program otherwise, I think that was a reasonable assumption. Now a few days after the draft one of our members encountered the two season limit. Not a single person on our team knew about that, so again I believe it was a reasonable assumption. So for the duration of the preseason I was trying to figure out a solution. I tried a crack that didn't work, I emailed Wolverine Studios and they only replied to me once. So we were stuck just having to gameplan by feel. That's totally our fault.

No one else is cheating or doing anything malicious. That should be obvious.

Now, we just ended a game that was hard fought, and really close. All Wraiths players knew about this situation and so obviously emotions were high. @Archon decided to write about it seeing that it was unfair. This is true, it is unfair but it's no one's fault but our own, if you want to get specific then it's no one's fault but mine. So there really isn't a requirement for HO or anyone to fix it. The way the initial statement was written might have come off wrong but it's pretty clear that he's just asking for help, that's all.

To @ADwyer87 and the rest of the Outlaws. I'm sorry. It may seem like Archon was calling you out as cheaters but that's not the case at all. He just knows that Er owns the sim, and I guess because no one on the Wraiths had it or knew about the 2 season demo issue, he assumed that Er might be the only one. He was not calling you cheaters, just saying it was unfair, which we established before is technically true. Once again, sorry.

Just an update for anyone looking for the 2016 version, I just got it from Wolverine Studios. I contacted the customer support and said I needed that version so I could test stuff in a sim league and they said they could throw in the 2016 version if I bought the 2018 version so I did and about an hour later they sent me a code for the 2016 version for $10.

and you were like 'huh don't know demo must be same as the product'

and then hey there it is

so you make a post disparaging another team for actually, ya know, paying devs for software they wrote

i mean fuck even i payed for simon t in other leagues even tho i think all software should be free
I mean we didn't disparage anyone. Please read my statement above for the full facts to everything. We were really just asking for help.

In short, there are plenty of products where you can do the basics offline but have to pay for the full features including online, so it's reasonable to conclude that it could be the case here.

I'm not against paying devs for what they wrote. I was ready to buy it now and I buy plenty of stuff in the future. You can't assume that we are cheap or not willing to pay someone for their work. That's an actual disparaging statement right there

but shit you argued this in the dumbest way possible
Not one single Wraith argued that we should move to 2018. Maybe read the thread first

Yea that happened with my initial email. They basically replied with why? I responded last night and have yet to get a second reply

Meanwhile Angus Winchester bought the full release and simmed 40 seasons before he was even drafted.

Sim Access - Sweetwater - 09-18-2017

Please realize, the sim was not designed for this type of league. It was designed for the online leagues. @ErMurazor told me in my interview with him that the devs have all but said "fuck off" in response to our questions. They don't want to sell their old version because everything has moved to the new one for them. They have no reason to support the old one.

I love you guys think of us so much that you bring us up as the sole wrong-doer in something we had no influence over, really i do, but at minimum the SaberCats and Otters have access toi the sim, and i doubt theyre the only other ones

Hawks do
