The biggest moment of my career was kind of before my career even started. A lot of people picked me to go #8 to the Philadelphia Liberty, myself included, so you can imagine my surprise when Micah Hendrix was picked instead. It only got weirder, though. Baltimore, who’d had the worst defense in the league, picked at 9 and 10. While their front seven wasn’t horrible, they did need a good safety, which I could play, and had an open linebacker spot even though it wasn’t a need. With Darnell Turner on the board, everyone knew he would be picked, but surely Cushing at 10 right? Nope. Offensive Lineman Brokk Lee. The SaberCats surprised no one by taking Jordan Yates at 11, then it was back to the Liberty, who selected CB Tyler Oles at 12. I was drafted 13th after being projected at 8.

The second moment was Week 13 against Arizona. After going almost the entire season with zero interceptions and zero passes defensed, I am down with a pick off of King Bronko in the red zone. What made it sweeter was that Harrif Ernston, who’d helped mentor me in the offseason, was there on the sidelines to see it. And they beat us anyways, so I doubt it bothered him much.

After that, week one of preseason against the Liberty. Yeah, it’s preseason, but when you work your ass off in the season, you wanna see results. I got two sacks on rookie QB Clifford Rove. After only getting 5 sacks my rookie season, definitely a morale-builder.

1. Bork Björnsson’s first NSFL sack

Bork’s first NSFL sack came in his first NSFL game back in week 1 of S2. Bork sacked the soon – to – be – outed – as – a –cheater Noble of the Colorado Yeti in the 3rd quarter. The sack was clutch, coming on a crucial 3rd and 7. The Yeti would go on to win the game 27 – 17 and Bork would finish his first ever NSFL game with 5 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble. Not bad at all for a rookie nose tackle.

2. Bork Björnsson’s record- breaking 6 sacks in one game

In Week 3 of S3, just Bork’s second season in the NSFL, he set the record for most sacks in a single game with 6. This was against the Orange County Otters, who were highly touted as having the best offensive line at that time in the NSFL. But they had no answer for Bork, who racked up 6 sacks and led the Wraiths defense in tackled with 8. If Bork wasn’t a household name by this point in his career, he certainly was afterwards.

3. Bork first arrives in Yellowknife

Yellowknife is one of the most unique home cities in all the NSFL, located in the North West Territories of Canada. Bork remembers flying in on a small 20-person plane after being drafted in the first round by the Wraiths, and the relatively small city of Yellowknife greeting him as they descended through the clouds.

The best memory from college is definitely the national championship win against Ohio State. I was a senior that year and the previous three seasons we came up a little short, usually ending up in one of the lesser bowl games. It was a battle of undefeated teams (12-0) that took the field that day. I was playing linebacker at the time and forced two turnovers in that game, one interception in the 1st half and then a forced fumble in the 3rd quarter. My Trojans ended up winning that game 24-10. It was my final collegiate game and it was perfect going out on top.

Then in the NSFL my two fondest memories are my draft day and the NSFC championship win against the Wraiths. I slipped a little bit on draft day but the one team that had a use for me were the Hawks, it was a culmination of hard work from HS and college and it was special having a professional team believe in my potential. During my second season in the league we won the NSFC championship against the Wraiths. We had a big improvement from the year prior and it proved to everyone on the team that hard work pays off. (S3) - PT #3 - Flashback - 4D Chess - 09-26-2017

Every kid dreams of scoring a touchdown pass in the championship game, and for CA Chess that dream became a reality in the Season 2 Ultimus Game of the National Sim Football League. Not only did he score a touchdown, he was the game's leading receiver on both teams and played a major part for the Arizona Outlaws as they secured their second title in as many seasons. While Season 3 has been a bit of a letdown for Chess, he can look back fondly on the end of season 2 as the time when his game came together and he flashed the greatness he was capable of. "Man, everything was going right. King Bronko was hitting his marks all night long and we simply overcame any adversity the entire game. It truly was a team effort, but I was obviously quite glad to have the best game of my young career on the biggest stage in football. This is the type of player I am, I answer the call when the stakes are high."

Currently it looks like the Outlaws are due for another playoff apperance, and maybe even an undefeated season -- so Chess will get the chance to prove that his playoff stats weren't simply a fluke last time and that he can once again live up to the challenge.

Three memorable moments huh? I got this.

The most memorable moment of my career was when I was drafted in the 5th round of the inaugural NSFL draft. I really didn't expect to be drafted that high and among some of the best players in the league. It was really a very huge honor for me that a team wanted to invest that much in me. From that moment on I was committed to being the best I could be. I was also very thankful to not be drafted alongside Jayce Tuck (@ErMurazor) as I've heard there are some BO issues with him in the Arizona locker room. I prefer to avoid confrontational players like that.

Tied for second place are the two playoff losses for my first two seasons. There's nothing more motivating than the sting of defeat in a crucial game. I've felt it twice now, and it is not pretty in the slightest. It makes we want to work hard to never have that feeling again, but it's still pretty awesome to make it to the playoffs two years in a row, a humbling experience. Hopefully this is the third year, and we make it over the hump.

It's pretty hard to come up with three highlights of your career, when that career has really only just started. The accomplishments of J.D. Boom pale into insignificance when compared to the elite players of the NSFL, so maybe my list of three should be interpreted as the moments I haven't sucked as much as usual.

1. Entering the NSFL and being claimed by the Baltimore Hawks off the waivers. This was a pretty nervous time for me to be honest, as I was stepping into the unknown. Everyone on the Hawks was very welcoming and helped me adjust to the league, offering advice on how to train and maximize my potential. I'll be grateful to the front office there for the help they gave me.

2. Finally being selected in the S3 Draft by the Orange County Otters. Previously mentioned in several scouting reports as a potential first round selection, I fell to the 4th round where the Otters gambled and called my name. That was the positive of this event, but the downside was that my reputation was damaged due to a pre-draft statement and some miscommunication prior to the draft on if I'd be able to commit to the NSFL. I doubt I will ever recover from that situation if I'm being completely honest.

3. My very first game as an Otter. Yes, it was a pre-season game, but it was against the leagues measuring stick, the Arizona Outlaws. Here I was, lining up against some of the NSFL's best players in my first game in Otters orange. I finished that game with 4 tackles, 1 TFL and 2 sacks against King Bronco and even though we got hammered 41-14, it will remain a highlight due to it being my first game as an NSFL professional.

Days following the Inaugural NSFL draft, Lavelle was nowhere to be seen. Vacant from the NSFL official prospect list, not even mentioned on the draft. Lavelle finally emerged days later, accompanied by a new agent not seen by his side before. Despite not even holding a press conference amidst all of the drama following his impressive collegiate career in Arizona. Lavelle didn't have to wait long, Yellowknife picked him up to become the first ever waiver player in NSFL history.

14 GP 57 TCK 1/1 FF/FR 4 INT 18 PD read Lavelle's stat line at the climax of the S1 regular season. Pro Bowl stats to be sure and Lavelle was more than happy to make an appearance, after all being recognized as one of the league's best in your waiver season is an honor.

14 GP 58 TCK 4 INT 15 PD. Lavelle's stats dropped off compared to his previous year, yielding a single less fumble recovery and forced fumble with three less pass deflections. Still good enough stats to be called up to his second consecutive pro bowl, this was Lavelle's make or break year, after taking over the #1 CB spot for Yellowknife ahead of the recently deposed Dirk Cutter. Not bad for his worst season ever ?

Players in the National Simulation Football League have accomplishments big and small every year. Like all players i’ve had ups and downs. Today I will describe some of my accomplishments. Due to time restraints put forth by the management I will limit them to 3. In season 1 I was drafted by the Orange County Otters. I didn't know where I would be at the end of the season but I thought I had a good chance of being great. In season 1 I was selected to the pro bowl and I made the top 50 list. I also led the league in receiving touchdowns. When looking at my competition that is quite a feat. In season 2 I was again selected to the pro bowl and top 50. I had a bit of a regressed year but I stood strong and prevailed. It is now season 3 and at my current pace I will finally break 1000 yards and I will repeat all of my previous accomplishments. This could be a record breaking year in all categories for me and I plan to do just that. Break records. Say goodbye to who you thought was the best and say hello to me!

In season 1 Angus Winchester set a bet with mouthy defensive end Jayce Tuck. The bet was that in their upcoming battle, Jayce Tuck wouldn't be able to land a sack vs Angus Winchester. Running to the aid of his teammate Dental Dam then proceeded to talk big about the upcoming game, and he was challenged to the same bet. The next day, the game was on. For the wager of a 600 word article each the contestants looked to the box score. When the dust settled, there were 2, 600 word articles to be written about how Angus Winchester was the greatest OL in the game.

After the conclusion of S1 the awards were presented. There were awards for every position. But after his brilliant campaign in season one leading the league in pancakes, blocking for the league's best rushing attack, and not allowing a single sack, Angus Winchester left the awards ceremony with 3 trophies that night. Best offensive lineman. Offensive player of the year. And League MVP.

Finally, in season 2 Angus Winchester had a rough start. He had very few pancakes and 3 sacks allowed by the 3rd game. But things started to turn around halfway through the season as he got back to his old ways. In week 11 of season 2 Angus Wicnchester set a record for the most pancakes in a game, 11. He also didn't allow a sack that game. This was a clear turning point that the old Winchester was back.
