(S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - 37thchamber - 05-06-2018 With the Baltimore Hawks already ruled out of a potential Ultimus return, Antoine Delacour proposed a way to get his team involved. "We could do the half-time show," he said, without a hint of comedy, before Owen Taylor presses play on a sound system, and Avon Blocksdale and Trey Willie begin the hook... All them Spooky Ghosts gon' learn Them Aviary dudes can play Philly Liberace gon' learn Them Bird Gang homies can play Cali-based Otters gon' learn The Caw Caw Brothers can play All the NSFL gon' learn Them Baltimore Hawks can play Delacour picks up and kicks off the first verse immediately after I said one, two, three and to the fo' I dominate the sky but still hit you on the flo' From three-thirty-seven all the way to Baltimo' Setting land speed records, make err'body seem slow Straight vicious with the tackles, savage vandal on the play But I ain't waitin' for tomorrow, I'm a legend of today! Rookies aimin' at me but quarterbacks are scared to I dare you, but know no other cornerback could prepare you At this point, NSFL execs cut the power to the sound system and politely tell the Hawks they "will consider it". (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - run_CMC - 05-06-2018 Hear me out here: what do Monster Trucks, Baboons, and Apes have in common? The baboons and apes are ancestral cousins. Cousins are brothers from another mother. Brothers? You know where I’m going. Let’s continue. What does alcohol, separation anxiety, and farming have in common? They’re all frequent topics of a certain band’s songs. Notice how earlier I said letters that can be rearranged to spell OSBORNE? And I said brothers. Brothers. Osborne. Brothers Osborne. The perfect National Simulation Football League inaugural halftime show. They like to sing about drinking, and football fans like drinking. They have beards, and many famous NSFL players have beards (LB Angus Winchester, OL Anus Windchesthair, etc). It’s a match made in a shady back-alley bar, and much like the nearby mystery meat kebab stand, as long as you ask too many questions it’s fantastic. So in conclusion: get Brothers Osborne for the NSFL halftime show. They’re actually really good, and I highly recommend taking a listen. (162 words) (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - bovovovo - 05-06-2018 Taylor Swift should do the half time show for the Ultimus. She is so obviously the best choice that even just the idea of having someone else do it approaches absurdity when compared and contrasted with having T Swizzle do it. Taylor is the perfect choice for this sites target demographic and current demographic. She’s the closest thing to an internet waifu for all the weeks we got here, she’s popular enough that the cool folks like her, her songs are catchy, and she is famous. There are literally no draw backs to having Taylor Swift do the half time show. She’ll be up there with her little guitar, starting off with her oldy but goody songs, before transitioning to some of her more recent hits. It is my personal preference that her newest album is crap of the highest magnitude but I respect the opinions of others who disagree with me even though they are objectively wrong. (158 words) (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - iseedoug - 05-06-2018 Honestly, I have never been a fan of halftime shows (maybe this is not a popular opinion?) I really like to see solid analysis of the game and plays from the previous half (but usually it's just guys talking nonsense about the game like “who wants it more” rather than actual strategic break down of plays). I think most of the NSFL would enjoy some solid analysis talk at half-time over music. But if we are going for performances, we should totally do like a contest or something. Sports trivia (NFL, CFL, maybe even NSFL if we can come up with good questions, etc.) for TPE or money? Or maybe some official bets on player stats in the second half, over/under. I think both of these things would generate a lot of attraction and make the event more enjoyable for those not in the game. Orrrr Maybe a simulated puppy bowl. Who doesn’t like puppies? Word Count: 156 (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - White Cornerback - 05-06-2018 Personally I'd prefer possibly Aminé or even Chance to do the half time show. The Ultimus is a great occasion which takes in millions of views every year (VIEWING NUMBERS WILL NOT BE REVEALED PER NSFL POLICY) Not because of any link to any current NSFL or DSFL team, I just like both the artists and would enjoy the Ultimus half time show if I actually followed the musicians that played. Having a look at the NFL half time show, I get that it's generally a pop artist that's picked because of the draw of the casual crowd, so the half time show appeals to the casual crowd which makes up i'd estimate 70/80% of the total super bowl crowd with the other 20/30% being hardcore fans watching to see the actual game. I don't watch the super bowl half time show and instead use the oppurtunity to relieve my bowels or refill on snacks and drink in that order. Always in that order. As for actually showing the show on stream? We'd just have to run a youtube video on overlay to be honest with youl. (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - Daybe - 05-06-2018 The best fit for the halftime show wouldn't be a rapper, a pop star, or even a country singer. This idea will blow your minds out of the water. For the S7 Ultimus Halftime show, I would have Angus Winchester perform, star linebacker for the Orange County Otters. So what exactly would be the show? Well, it would be Winchester in a bikini, showing off his large legs, and swimming in a pool while he sings the ABCs. The crowd would FOR SURE get a kick out of it, and it would draw all types of young fans while showing what type of league we are. He'd be accompanied by Mat Akselsen, who'd repeat, "Whoop Diddy Scoop". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-RL-YhHQn0 They would all be joined by a surprise appearance by Borkus Maximus, finishing the show off by plunging himself. It would be a great watch and an even better YouTube video. Something to upload to the NSFL YouTube channel. @timeconsumer @Bzerkap @bovovovo (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - timeconsumer - 05-06-2018 (05-06-2018, 12:41 PM)Daybe Wrote:The best fit for the halftime show wouldn't be a rapper, a pop star, or even a country singer. Naturally, there is only one choice for such a prestigious venue. None other than the one, the only Bruno Mars….premier cover band, Uptown Funk! Uptown Funk play all the top hits of the world renowned artist Bruno Mars. Uptown Funk’s best song performance, believe it or not, is “Treasure,” not “Uptown Funk” as one might expect. Uptown Funk also have an excellent rendition of “24K Magic”. Needless to say Uptown Funk is the finest entertainment the NSFL, and it's sponsors, can afford. They will surely put on a great show that while not as good as Bruno Mars, would feature the same catchy songs. Just as the NSFL puts out a great show, that is not nearly as good as the NFL. Uptown Funk gonna give it to ya, NSFL fans! (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - dave - 05-06-2018 The halftime show is a big deal, so you need some star power in order to draw interest. You could go for rappers, pop stars, rock stars, or really any other musician under the sun. I have a new, fresh idea that is innovate and would change halftime history forever. I have a friend named Joe and he just got a new harmonica. Now I know what you're thinking, "really, a guy with a harmonica? How will he possibly preform up to the high standards of the halftime show?." To be honest with you, he probably won't. He just got this harmonica like, last week and he's only really played it once or twice. He says that he got a cut on his lip and he'll play it more once that heals but I really don't know about that. He also really doesn't know all the notes, he kind of just blows into it while he moves it back and forth. He says that it's "Improv" and that " Miles Davis did it all the time." Well let me tell you that I'm sure Miles Davis's improv never sounded like a cat in a wood chipper. Anyway, Joe is down on his luck and really needs some cash so I told him I would try to land this gig for him. (S7) - Weekend PT 4 - Half-Time Show - jparks98 - 05-06-2018 ![]() |
