(S8) - PT 3 - What if - Beaver - 06-05-2018 If I could make any change to the game of Blackford Oakes then it would definitely be to get rid of the cancerous growth that is Connor Tanner that constantly follows him around like the shadow of a rain cloud or a lost pupper but a really evil pupper so since puppers can't be evil I guess it'd be more like a lost cat because cats are evil and also suck so yeah with the specter of Connor Tanner constantly haunting Oakes he hasn't been able to perform to the fullest abilities during his career because he'd definitely be playing a lot lighter so instead of having 95 speed he'd be more like 100 or 120 and instead of 95 agility he'd be more like 100 or 120 which would be a big help and a big boost to his play on the field but unfortunately Connor Tanner's dastardly deeds and desire for revenge due to Oakes avoiding the forced retirement of ~TOTALLY ACTIVE AND CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF THE LEAGUE~ are just something that he has to live with and deal with unfortunately until the day that he finally vanquishes Tanner once and for all and brings peace and justice to the many realms. Code: 204 words (S8) - PT 3 - What if - GoonerBear - 06-05-2018 If I had to make a change, I'd probably change Kolby Deringer over to a defensive end. Though he has a background starting off as a corner, I think it would have been interesting to see this transition throughout his story further up the defensive side of the field until he's in the trenches, ready to pop off the head of whoever has the ball. Might have been interesting to think about whether I wanted him to be more like Von Miller or JJ Watt. Even now, if I chose to, I might move him into more of a rushing role a la DeMarcus Ware. If I feel it's a better move later on, I might change his archetype to Speed Rusher. If I had to put him on offense, I've enjoyed the WR role in another league. I think I'd try for WR or TE, leaning toward TE to still be able to play that gritty role without committing to a pure muscle position. I'd see about styling him after the Jason Witten mold in the position, the sixth blocker and safety blanket under the Possession archetype. Without knowing interactions, I'd focus hands, then run blocking, strength, endurance, then speed. (201) (S8) - PT 3 - What if - Toasty - 06-05-2018 If I could go back and start all from scratch I would've ed mememastero and sapp about my concerns about playing for meme. And now because I went out on the media and pared that shit I am considered a person who would create a multi 3rd round pick that would retire right after getting drafted by them and now the is some how fucking them over. Some other shit I would like to do over is when my DSFL GMs told me to get speed maxed out I woulda listen to them because was playing catch up with the rest of the linebackers. Another thing that would've help me a lot would've been putting more into strength and not keeping strength and tackling neck and neck. Now come to think of it if I could really do it all over I would've created a receiver because receivers seem to be the big need right now. Mason brown would've been a beast receiver too. He would've been better than that one guy from the luchadores... Crap he would've been better than mark Grau. And if ex would've ended up on he pythons...damn they would've won the S6 ultimini along with the S7 ultimini. But hind sight is always 20 20 but Mason likes where he is at right now. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - nunccoepi - 06-05-2018 There is not much that I would like to change about Verso L'Alto. All in all, I'm happy with how he is progressing as a player. He is utilized well and is on, in my humble opinion, the most talented offense in the NSFL at the moment. Of course, there is the normal course of development--I always wish he could just better altogether, but that's somewhat outside of the scope of the prompt and not to mention the fun of the league as a whole. If I had to change anything about Verso L'Alto's attributes, however, it would be to diversify them a little. I'm a balanced TE, so this ends up meaning that almost all of my useful traits and attributes max in the 80s somewhere. It makes me feel like a jack of all trades, a master of none. If I could work to specialize in something, I might be a little more useful to my team. I might be more interesting to watch/follow too. Of course, I don't know what I would specialize in--possibly speed or hands. I think that where I am at right now, however, I am the most useful that I can be. Also, I wish I were black. (206) (S8) - PT 3 - What if - fusion247 - 06-06-2018 You may have heard of the next great NSFL linebacker, Jesse Marchand. Maybe not. So far he's been tearing it up in the DSFL, putting up tackle after tackle and making some great plays for the San Antonio Marshals this season. The Marshals have opened the year with a 4-0 record, an astronomical leap from their dismal previous season. They look to continue to dominate in the DSFL for the rest of this campaign. But how would the tables turn if Marchand had chosen another path, one that many had professed upon him when he began playing football in the Montreal area. For a well build kid like Jesse, destiny always pointed him towards the roll of running back, where he would be able to use his brute strength to power through defenders and shed them like corn from a cob. Somewhere along the line though, Marchand found himself playing opposite the ball from his twin brother which placed a divide between the two and drove Jesse to become an outstanding player. While it's not quite true that this divide is the sole reason for Jesse being so successful as a linebacker, it may be one of the factors that has influenced his skill. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - Renrut - 06-06-2018 ![]() (S8) - PT 3 - What if - RealWackolyte - 06-06-2018 I am a corner back, and that will ways be a permanent truth. As I look around the league, analyzing the answers of my colleagues as to this tough question and see that many of their answers are to change the path they are on in terms of position, I realize that loyalty is everything. My decision to play as a defensive back in high school was not due to the fact that I was afraid of contact as many people assume with DB's, it was rather to take out my aggression in a way that was healthy. When I first started football, before high school, I was a receiver, but with the death of my brother I would have done anything to get the anger of losing him out of me. So, if there was one thing that I could go back and change, I would change that anger inside my heart. I would take out all the aggression that fourteen year old me was feeling because his older brother, his star brother, killed himself while he slept. I would take it all away, because that anger has made me darker than the person that I wish to be seen as. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - OBESE - 06-06-2018 I mean not much I would change to my game as I still have not showed my true potential. If I could change something in our game I would wish to get more passes as so often I am open but the ball is thrown to the defended receiver. I understand that it is not my job but for the sake of team I would not mind picking up some extra stuff on the field. One thing I would definitely change in my game is the level of defence and blocking I can do, I mean it is up fro grabs and it is not like I can not learn it, I will with time, but that is one of the things. Also I would change my speed ability. I am not the fastest out there and I feel that my maximum range of speed is not gonna be the greatest and it is understandable considering my size but that would definitely come handy! To be honest such question is really hard to answer, especially for someone like me, who is still young, just started his career and still have so much space to grow. If I would be like 3-4 seasons in and consider myself a vet, then I might have been able to be more specific of what I would change as I would know how Im played, what I am lacking, so what could I change if I could! (S8) - PT 3 - What if - BWIII - 06-06-2018 If you had asked me this at any point last year I would have had a hard time answering this question as I think my game was pretty on point, but since I've changed positions this actually is a pretty easy question to answer. If I were to change any part of my game it'd be my pass rush moves. Sure I currently am tied for the 6th most sacks in the league, but I just feel like I don't have a consistent set of pass rush moves. Most of this comes from the fact that I was asked and decided to switch to the defensive line really late in the offseason so I didn't have as much time to train and add on to the fact that I only have four career games at the position, I'd say that I'm still extremely raw. Of course this will get better the more work I put in with the coaching staff in San Antonio and as I gain more confidence in the position, but right now I think that that is the only part of my game that can really stand to get better. Aside from that specific skill set I'm pretty confident in my game, how I'm doing, and where I'm headed. (S8) - PT 3 - What if - bovovovo - 06-06-2018 What if I never came to the Legion and stayed with the Wraiths and kept Bork Bjornsson around? How good would a maxed out DE be at this point? Would it have been a big game changer for the Wraiths? Probably not. Would Bjornsson be on the HOF trajectory? I don't know. He'd probably be well past maxed out by now. I am honestly not quite sure how good he would actually be, it's been shown that DEs just don't put up a lot of sacks. So what if Bjornsson never position changed away from being a DT? He'd still be maxed out probably, and would (hopefully) be tearing the league up. The Wraiths defensive line would have been spooky scary. Would it have been enough for the Wraiths to pull out an Ultimus win? I'm not sure, but I like to think that it would have been. Bork Bjornsson the DT I think would certainly be on the HOF trajectory and would be a top defensive lineman in the whole league... maybe even a top defensive player. That's a big what if for me to think about... but then what would have happened to the Legion? It was time to turn a new chapter and I can earnestly say that I'm glad I did. (215 words) |
