Why not open the voting to the league as a whole if you're concerned about the perception? HO and GMs can have a weighted vote perhaps but it has always irked me that the average player has no say beyond a single award and pro bowl

Also it used to be open to the public but people just copied and pasted whatever the first pro bowl vote it was without even looking at it. It just led to the awards committee doing basically unneeded work ie, tallying up the exact same vote 30 times. You also had people going on witchhunts for not choosing player x over player y which soured the experience.

anyways, I was potentially stepping down from HO this season so i was not voting because until recently i wasnt gonna be in HO

Also, that's reasonable. I'm not trying to make excuses for people not voting (I'm only eligible for DSFL, which I completed), I just meant that less emphasis/pressure on the GM/HO vote might be good. But if it's been tried and failed in the past, so be it
