The Sabercats have many new players on the team for S10 between newly drafted players, bringing up last years drafted players, and a big offseason trade. There are two players I think will make an immediate impact: Xavier Flash and Kolby Deringer. While both these guys were drafted last season to the Sabercats, this will be their first season the field with the cats. First, Flash has had a record breaking career in the DSFL, breaking several receiving records and winning 2 Ultimini’s with the Luchadores. If he can continue on this trajectory, he will be a huge addition to the passing game that SJS has desperately needed. (Especially with SJS new QB, veteran and future hall of famer Mat Akselsen). Second, Deringer comes up to the cats with almost 400 TPE and an impressive DSFL career (although it would have been more impressive had he been a Luchadore). Deringer should help fill a hole at Linebacker. While the cats have Ben Horne, one solid linebacker just isn’t enough to stop the high powered offenses of the NSFL. Hopefully Deringer will not only perform well himself, but bring other players like Ben Horne more success. After all, football is a team sport and great teams bring individual success. With Deringer playing as a balanced/coverage LB and Horne playing as a speed rusher/tackling LB they could make a deadly combination in the front 7. Overall, the Sabercats have many new faces for S10, which could make the Sabercats a winning team again.

With a very limited number of draft picks in the Season 10 draft, the Colorado Yeti don’t have a lot of new faces around their facilities this offseason. The only players the team drafted were running back Devo Cansino and quarterback Chris Bennett.

Bennett is yet to be seen at Yeti Headquarters, as he was informed immediately after being drafted that he would be staying down in the DSFL. Time will tell if his face ever will be seen, given that the Yeti are set at the position, already having Ryan Applehort as their established long-term starter.

Cansino, on the other hand, has dropped by the facilities in Colorado to meet the team. Although he is a long-term project and won’t immediately replace starts Mark Grau and Damien Kroetch, players and coaching staff alike are excited about what Cansino can achieve with the team after racking up some more mileage in the DSFL.

It has been reported that Cansino is already a leader at the San Antonio Marshals despite his short tenure there, and the team’s coaches are very accommodating of his suggestions regarding depth chart ordering and game-planning for matches. This experience is sure to help Cansino become a valued contributor to the Yeti once his number is called and he joins the NSFL.

Footballer Sackerman, the 14th pick in the Season 10 DSFL Draft has taken some time post draft to adjust to his move to Kansas City. When Sackerman was drafted to Kansas city, he broke down into tears because he did not think that he would be let out of prison due to the stipulations not being met. The only way he was supposed to be released was by getting drafted by the Tijuana Luchadores, but the Coyotes took the chance on him. Little is Footballer know, he would in fact be let out of prison. The head of the prison relayed the information to the young defensive tackle that he would have been let out if he was drafted to any team but those vile Texans, the San Antonio Marshals. When Footballer Sackerman got out of prison for the first time, he immediately made his way up the heart of the USA to the great city of Kansas City. His teammates were a bit nervous to be around him because of how he killed Footballer Catcherman, but Sackerman made good first impressions and became friends with his teammates. Fellow defensive tackle Will Foster plans to team up with Sackerman to make the most fearsome defensive line in all of the DSFL.

This past offseason the Yellowknife Wraiths traded for a new quarterback who would be the star of the team for years to come in Brad Pennington. Not only will he be a great star for seasons to come, but he has been reunited with his brothers Chad and Thad. However, there is already trouble in paradise. Brad is refusing to sign with the Yellowknife Wraiths until Chad performs a podcast for him. The trouble is he already did! Now Brad is demanding another, Chad however is standing firm on the grounds that he has already performed this for Brad. So until Brad signs with the team, it's possible that Brad could go to free agency! Chad was so excited to get to play with his brother again and now this is happening. If he leaves again Chad may go through a total nervous breakdown and have to go on hiatus from the NSFL. We'll have to see what happens as it seems Chad has given Brad an ultimatum. For now Yellowknife management is hoping that the dispute can be settled between the brothers before they have to step in, but a mediator may in fact be necessary for an agreement to be reached between the newly acquired player and the Yellowknife veteran.

Quote:Written: Must include 200 words. Write about one of the new players on your team, or how you are handling moving to a new team if you are new to the team. You can write about anything along this topic, as long as it reaches 200 words.

So we drafted this absolute scrubcake that goes by the name of 'Grapehead'. What kind of name is that even? Is his head in the shape of a grape? Is his head a shape of purple like a grape? Well if that is the case he should consider making an appointment at a doctors office, because that shit can not be healthy. Although maybe it is reffering to a white grape, in that case, maybe his skin is like a faint greenish colour? Still pretty bad if you ask me.

Anyways, so we got this new kid in town. Me and him have some history right, back a long time ago in a differnt universe and differnt sport, we used to be partners in crime right. I guess you could say he was kinda the boss man and I was more like a co boss man, but put that aside. We used to have controll over this rag tag team of hockey players and tried to win a few cups, but alas we did not success, so now he's here in Baltimore all of a sudden and we need to expect to win a cup with him?

I dunno man, me and him together winning a cup would not work, but I guess we will see how it goes right.

Long story short, I love Grape and am glad to have him on the team.

Starting out in new surroundings is becoming something of a regular occurrence for Lennox Garnett, but it doesn't faze him too much. "I moved to a new country at age ten, then I've had to re-adjust to something new every few years since. This is no big deal." He says. "Everywhere I've been, everywhere I go, I just get my head down and do what I do. Let my work speak for itself."

Arriving in Kansas City, Garnett prepares for his first foray into professional ball, where he is acutely aware that his athletic ability will not be enough by itself. "I'm pretty sure I'm the fastest guy on the roster, but speed doesn't matter so much at this level if you can't get in the right positions." He explained. "So I'm talking to the guys, the coaches, trying to absorb as much as possible. Spending extra time after practice, making sure I have the best equipment, anything that can give me an edge."

Garnett's first game in purple and gold was a heavy defeat at the hands of the Tijuana Luchadores, and a rude awakening for the college standout. "It really drove it home for me that this is an entirely different level to what I've been playing so far." He said. "But they selected me sixth overall so they must believe I have what it takes. Now I have to prove them right."

This upcoming season is going to be pretty exciting as we're getting a couple new faces for the NSFL squad. I know most people who will say anything about Philadelphia this season will most likely be talking about Marquise Brown and for good reason, but another player I'm excited about seeing for us is Lucari Felix, the number three overall draft pick in this last NSFL draft. Last season we actually played two safeties as our primary cornerbacks in Ryan Flock and David Verns and Flock actually was sneaky good for us as he had 7 interceptions, 14 passes defended, and returned two of those interceptions for touchdowns. Verns, while not quite as good as Flock, also returned two interceptions for touchdowns. With Felix though, we have a guy who is pretty in line with both Flock and Verns in terms of ability, but he is a natural corner and has better ball hawking skills. With Flock being shipped out Felix will immediately be thrown into the fire and will have to show what he's made of day 1 as he steps up against NSFL veterans. From what I've seen in practice I think that Felix is going to not only show he's ready, but show exactly why he was taken 3rd overall.

The person that ShaDarrien LaMelllana has been most happy to see join the Marshals locker room is Jamal Slick @JBLAZE_THE_BOSS. LaMelllana will be completing his final season in the DSFL before the Outlaws call him up, sources tell us, so it's obvious LaMelllana wants to go out with a ring, as well as some nice stats. As per LaMelllana, "Having Jamal here is pretty awesome because I've seen how he plays and he's a straight baller. I'm really looking forward to seeing the kind of havoc we can wreak on the DSFL this season." Obviously, LaMelllana has been playing with QB Wozy for the past season, and when asked which QB he prefers, LaMelllana answered, "Well that's a tough one, they're very different, even in attitude. Wozy will get mad at you and make it vocal but Boss sort of stays quiet, and each of those things come with their advantages and disadvantages. Either way, no matter which QB we have in the game, I'm confident in their abilities and I think we have a huge season ahead of us this year." These QBs are not near the level, however, of Outlaws current QB Fitzpatrick, who LaMelllana will be receiving passes from next season.
